Last Week’s News in Its Proper Perspective

Last week was a very interesting week, and one that I believe needs to be put in its proper, snarky perspective.

Ready or not…here we go…

Okay…Syria is all bent out of shape because, last week, President Trump officially recognized Israel’s sovereignty in the Golan Heights. Syria has, since 1967 accused Israel of occupying what belongs to Syria.

Ummmm…excuse me Syria…but perhaps you should have thought about the consequences of trying to invade Israel before you invaded Israel in 1967…and perhaps you should have considered the ramifications of getting your asses kicked in what has to have been one of the absolute shortest wars in the history of wars.

Sure…you figured…hey, new country, how ready could Israel possibly be to wage a war…right? Well, it took Israel just 6 days to whoop ya, and after doing so, Israel had every right to the Golan Heights…so get over it, and get over yourselves.

Who Really Lynched Jussie Smollett?

It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge.

Picture, if you will, a gay black man walking home from a sandwich shop in Chicago…a city run by liberals…at 2am. Suddenly, that black man is allegedly assaulted by two white men, wearing red hats and masks, who put a noose around his neck, hurl racial and gay slurs at him, punch him and tell him that he’s in MAGA country before disappearing into the night while neither robbing him, or taking his sandwich.

It is a very disturbing scene but know this…

Liberals…Victims of Their Own Desperation

Liberals are growing more desperate by the day, but the desperation didn’t start yesterday. In many cases, it is hard, if not impossible to pinpoint the nexus of desperation. Most often, desperation is a progression between cause and effect…it is something that sets in over time, and circumstances.

That is not the case with the sort of liberal desperation we are seeing, and let’s be honest in this…we can trace the nexus of it to a specific point in time, and a specific event.

The sort of liberal desperation we see day in and day out now, the desperation that is growing more convoluted by the day if not by the hour had a very specific moment of origin.

The date was…May 3rd, 2016…

Take ABC’s news magazine, 20/20 for instance…

The name of the program suggests it has a clear, sharp vision of what’s important, relevant and news worthy. One would expect current topics, in-depth analysis and introspective investigative reporting…right?

Well…before I tell you what they hyped since Christmas for their first show of the new year this Friday, January 4th, 2019…let me tell you a few of the things they didn’t cover on that show.

Sanctuary Cities…Harboring Injustice

He was knowingly here illegally, in fact he had already been deported five times before and yet he always did manage to return. And it was during his sixth and last return that this illegal alien murdered an innocent 32-year old woman in the prime of her life…and so Kate Steinle became the rallying cry for all that is so very wrong with our immigration system.

Immigration Policy is Law…Not a Suggestion

Last week, Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued what is, for the moment, a threat and only time will tell if it becomes a promise, that the DOJ will withhold anti-crime funding from the cities of Baltimore, Albuquerque, Stockton and San Bernardino should they fail to change their ways, and begin to cooperate with federal immigration policies.

All those cities mentioned, and so many more, are sanctuary cities, and all of them, and more, are fit to be tied over that threat.

Even Rahm Emmanuel, the uber liberal Mayor of Chicago, is spitting mad to the point that just yesterday, on behalf of his gun-free target rich sanctuary city, he filed a lawsuit against the DOJ over the demands that immigration policy be followed…or else.

Frankly, I fail to see the problem, and perhaps more to the point, I fail to see why the aforementioned cities have their panties in a wad over the possible loss of funding.

To begin with, one must understand the nature of the funding in question.

A Most Fictitious Farewell…Now Get Out!

ofw 1Just this past Tuesday night, a spectacle of spectacles took place in Chicago. In what is arguably the nation’s biggest gun-free…target rich zone, where more than 750 murders took place in 2016, a 58% spike over the previous year, and where a total of 4,368 people were shot last year…

Obama gave his farewell speech.

For the record, in the liberal gun-free Mecca of Chicago…more than 90 people have been shot so far, since January 1st of this year.

But there he was, Mr. Gun Control, and the nation’s leading firearms salesman for 8 years running, licking himself all over…much like my dog does in front of company…telling the assembled socialist collective what a great job he’s done leading our nation…from behind.

Frankly, I was surprised he didn’t drag his butt across the carpet when he was finished, but let’s have a look at some of the highlights from that spreading of manure.

More Than a Hate Crime – Part 2

By now, everybody has seen, or at the very least heard of the video, discussch-1ed in detail in “More Than a Hate Crime Part 1,” (a must read op-ed) in which a band of Black Lives Matter goons kidnapped and tortured a disabled man while live-streaming the entire event on Facebook.

During that sickening, disgusting act…the BLM goons put tape over the man’s mouth, beat him, cut him, cut his clothes, kicked him…all as the man was on the floor…they screamed at him…telling the man to say, “F*** Trump” and “F*** white people.”

They have been arrested. They have, after some deep thought by Chicago police, been charged with a hate crime.

But left wing, liberal/socialist mainstream media…is taking the side of the BLM haters.

Trump’s Liberal/Progressive Tactics Exposed

txp 1“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

And how do these words in the Constitution’s Bill of Rights relate to presidential candidate Donald J. Trump…simply it means that Trump’s right to free speech was in no way violated by the shutting down of his recent rally in Chicago even though Trump immediately spewed out words that, “thugs shut down our First Amendment rights.”

No they did not for while thugs did behave ever so badly it was not thugs per se who shut down Trump’s rally…Trump himself shut down his own rally with his year-long barge of disparaging remarks against minorities, his vile words against his fellow candidates, and with his mocking comments regarding the ‘intelligence’ of some of his own supporters. And these words of his said time and again are words not protected by the First txp 3Amendment, as they are ‘instigating’ words deliberately said to fuel anger…to fuel hate…and are what’s legally known as ‘fighting words’…’fighting words’ that could make the person to whom they are addressed…in this case minorities…commit an act of violence. And since Trump instigated the Chicago violence by his ‘fighting words’…as per Chaplinsky v New Hampshire, 315 U.S. 568 (1942)…Trump himself must take at least some responsibility for the violence that ensued because his entire campaign was a powder keg of thuggery waiting to explode.

Oh, The Hypocrisy of it All

According to Donald Trump, “I could stand in the middle of 5th avenue and shoot people ancou 1d I wouldn’t lose voters.”

Is he the only one who could do such a thing and not lose any of his support?

No.

Any penny-ante, tin-pot dictator in any 3rd world, one horse rogue nation could do it. Lil Kim in North Korea could do it. There was a time when Saddam and Gaddafi could have done it. Lenin and Stalin and Hitler did do it.

Forget 3rd world, one horse rogue nations…hell, Obama could get away with it just to name another dictator and that is exactly what’s wrong in this country. Electing a president has become a side show rather than a concerted effort to choose who would actually be the best for the job.

After Trump made his latest, ‘out of touch with reality’ statement on Saturday afternoon…his Trump-drunk followers started making excuses…”it was taken out of context,” and “he didn’t mean anything by it.” “Lighten up, he’s joking.”
