Anti Trump War Rhetoric vs. Reality’s Receipts

Enough already with the virtue-signaling from those who disagree with the current strategy being employed against Iran, and the constant blaming of President Trump for mishandling the war, or making promises he hasn’t kept, or the claims that if Trump won’t finish the job, Israel will finish it for him.

And what happens when someone disagrees with the virtue signaling sorts? They will quickly proclaim that those who disagree with their opinions are “up Trump’s butt,” “brown nosers,” “Trump can do no wrong sorts” or “liars.”

Personally, I believe there have been mistakes made. For instance, I believe Trump was wrong to say, as he did in early March, 2026, that defeating the Iranian regime would only take 4-5 weeks, something he repeated several times before eventually dropping that line for a more non-descript timeline. What I believe he should have said from the jump was – “We’ll remain in this fight until the Iranian regime and the IRGC no longer hold the world hostage to their tyranny, brutality and terrorism.” Here’s another mistake I believe Trump has made – saying he will not stop until Iran unconditionally surrenders. That’s not ever going to happen and I made that very clear in my commentary, “The Mullah’s Madness Unmasked” back on May 10^th, 2026. More on that later in this commentary.

The U.S. War Strategy vs. Iran – -A Textbook Masterclass

With regard to any who believe that President Trump has mismanaged the war with Iran, or any who, in their opinions believe that President Trump has ignored the lessons of history, made his strategic decisions based on advice from those who simply don’t understand how to fight or win a war, ignored his top cabinet and military advisors or built his strategy purely around political and/or personal aggrandizement, that simply couldn’t be further from the truth.

The strategy employed by the U.S. against Iran is very well documented, tested, successful and goes back much, much further than most would believe.

The basis for what has developed into the current strategy started with Sun Tzu’s The Art of War, (5th Century BCE) ‘Sun Tzu’s The Art of War repeatedly frames victory not just through battles but through breaking the enemy’s alliance network, using spies and deception, and depleting the enemy’s state treasuries while preserving your own resources.’

The Arthashastra, an ancient Indian piece written by Kautilya in India, roughly a century after ‘The Art of War,’ became the first formal version of the strategy listing four elements rather than Sun Tzu’s three. After the end of WWI, ‘The Twenty Years’ Crisis,’ by British political scientist E.H. Carr again narrowed it back to three elements.

During WWII, the U.S. engaged in the four element strategy and soon after the end of WWII, United States military and defense strategists formalized it as only the U.S. military can…with an acronym and it has been the blueprint taught by our military through leadership and academy classes ever since. That is certainly not to say it has always been followed and obviously, when not, our efforts have suffered for it, but it does remain the U.S. military blueprint to this day.

Where’s Waldo and Weapons of War

Over the past couple of weeks, and over the past several months, two questions regarding certain aspects of the war with Iran have continued to crop up. Both are rather interesting questions, and both seem to have complex answers.

No, I’m not talking about why we’re doing this, that or the other thing, or for that matter, why we’re not doing this, that or the other thing. These questions are a bit more eclectic…perhaps more on the ethereal side of things but one thing is certain, both involve conspiracies…and corresponding theorists.

Let’s just be honest, if it’s in the news, its fodder for conspiracy theorists and that’s nothing new. Conspiracy theories have been around since ancient times and have been centerpieces of civil, and not so civil debate from watering holes to water coolers. Anything that’s unknown automatically lends itself to unending chatter, and even some things that are verifiable facts become the subject of those who simply refuse to accept facts as facts.

In the latter category – the Earth is round. It is NOT flat, but that hasn’t stopped the Reynolds Wrap cap crowd from proclaiming we round Earthers and full of beans. Here’s the question they just can’t answer…IF the Earth IS flat, what’s on the underneath side of it? I ask because regardless of how flat one makes a pancake, it still has two sides.

The Iran War – Options vs. Alternatives Part 2

The strategy employed by the U.S. against the Iranian regime should be pretty clear by now except to some critics of President Trump who are getting close to stage 3 TDS. The strategy, as I have said many times, is to use our military to cut the Iranian regime off from the one thing they need the most…money…while systematically eliminating remaining targets that threaten not only our military, but Iran’s Arab State neighbors, shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, and potential ground operations that may well be coming soon against the IRGC.

Evidence that the strategy is working can easily be found if one pays attention to reports, not only from our military, CENTCOM or our media, but also from more unlikely sources like Iran itself.

Sure, there are those who are fit to be tied over pauses in the action, and over “negotiating” with the enemy, but I believe that those who have adopted the talking points of the IRGC, in that “The U.S. is losing the war,” or that “Trump is a fool and doesn’t know what he’s doing,” would rather continue to virtue-signal their own personal armchair quarterback belief that they could do better if they, not President Trump were running the show.

As for the most recent “pause” for so-called “negotiations,” just over a week ago, it wasn’t President Trump, nor was it Steve Witkoff or Jared Kushner who suggested it, rather it was Admiral Bradley Cooper, Commander of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) who advised it and for a very interesting reason…the U.S. military had run out of targets related to the Strait of Hormuz. This isn’t to suggest that Iran has nothing remaining with which to threaten shipping, just that the IRGC hasn’t exposed any of what they may have left or where they’ve been hiding it for about a week.

The Iran War – Options vs. Alternatives Part 1

Political analysts, think-tank sorts, some religious and/or theocratic scholars, and various other critics have been quick to argue that President Trump is “mismanaging the war” because he simply “does not understand radical Islam or the Iranian regime’s death-cult mindset.” Some on the right side of the aisle also claim that “Trump is losing the war.” Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. I believe our president has a much better understanding of the radical Islamic mindset than do some of his critics, I believe he has a much deeper understanding of the broader Middle East mindset than his critics claim he has, and I know that there is no easy way to fight ANY war, especially one with so many moving pieces as this one.

While President Trump’s primary stated purpose for this war is to prevent Iran from ever having a nuclear weapon, we all know that the only way to ensure that is to create regime change in Iran. Here’s the problem with the U.S. engineering regime change – we have a terrible success rate in doing that. Viet Nam, Korea, and several recent attempts in the Middle East…including in Iran in 1979 leap to mind. But that’s not the only issue we face. Go too fast and you create a vacuum of power. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt, don’t want to do that again.

Go too slow, you wind up as a tourist in Hanoi pretending it was an adventure on your bucket list for decades.

Hormuz and Beyond

Far too many people, even some on the right side of the political aisle have a narrow view regarding the Strait of Hormuz and are far too quick to condemn Trump for “mishandling the war.”

They claim that President Trump has made the war against Iran “all about oil” and “all about the Strait of Hormuz” proclaiming over and over again that “we don’t get any oil from Hormuz, and we should have left the Hormuz situation to those that do get their oil from it.” To suggest, or believe that the U.S. doesn’t benefit from shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, or that others should have been left to deal with it because we don’t benefit from it is myopic and in some cases, hypocritical.

It’s time to set the record straight, especially for those who have complained that the war is all about oil, and everything else has been ignored.

After 4 very long years of the Joe Biden occupancy of the Oval Office, after 4 very long years of nonsensical yarns blathered by the dazed and confused Joe Biden, after 4 very long years of watching Joe Biden stumbling, bumbling, falling on stairs, falling off his bike and wandering aimlessly about the White House lawn…what I’m about to get into should come as no great surprise.

After the whole world saw Biden shaking hands with invisible people…time and time again, after the whole world listened while Biden related a conversation he had had with an Amtrak Conductor years after that Conductor had died, a story Joe told time and time again, after the whole world watched creepy Joe sniffing girl’s hair…time and time again and listening while the old dolt related a yarn about his uncle being EATEN BY CANNIBALS…what I’m about to get into certainly isn’t breaking news.

In 2020, Joe Biden campaigned from his basement, and when he was allowed out of his habitat, crowds were, at best, sparse, comprised of 10’s of people, and Joe wasn’t allowed to talk to the press. But he supposedly got 81 million votes.

Uh-huh.

The Mullah’s Madness Unmasked

On April, 8^th, 2026, President Trump announced a ceasefire with Iran which was initially supposed to last two weeks. Pakistan, working as the middleman introduced a framework for a ten point “peace agreement plan,” which has now, in various forms, been on the table for the past month. Up until now, all “negotiations” have failed, and while I strongly disagree with “negotiating” with terrorists, and make no mistake, Iran is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, the “negotiations” have been pretty limited to President Trump telling Iran what to do, and Iran saying, “no.”

If we go back to the end of the first week of military operations, President Trump demanded “unconditional surrender” from Iran to halt US and Israeli air strikes, stating he would accept no deal otherwise. He asserted that Iran’s military was ineffective and called for the nation to “wave the white flag” To be crystal clear, while some Republicans are clinging to that statement and are expressing dismay that President Trump has seemingly backed away from it, “unconditional surrender” was never the reason for going to war with Iran, it was but a suggested off-ramp for the Iranian regime to bring the devastating bombardment to a halt quickly.

The Clock is Ticking…What Comes Next?

On February 28^th, 2026, President Donald Trump began what no U.S. President had the courage to do over the past 47 years – he began military action against the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, Iran. In concert with Israel, over the past two months, the radical Islamic regime’s military assets have been pounded into the dirt, pounded to the bottom of the sea, and eliminated from the air. The ranks of the regime’s leadership have been decimated, and their ability to continue striking Israel, their neighbors and U.S. forces has been severely weakened, but not completely eliminated.

Likewise, the Iranian regime’s ability to rearm, resupply and finance their proxy armies has also been severely damaged, but not completely eliminated, and the regime’s hold over the Strait of Hormuz, which they rely upon for shipping oil, their primary source of income has slipped away and is now all but controlled by the U.S. and a naval blockade.

But this war is not over. Unless and until whatever remains of the Iranian regime has been driven out…out of power, out of Iran and/or permanently eliminated, the threat to Israel, the Middle East, Europe and indeed to the United States still exists.

Brute Force and Common Sense

So, the war against the terrorist regime of Iran has been ongoing now for nearly two months and despite the loss of their navy, their air force, most of their ability to target our bombers and the loss of better than 50 of their regime leaders, Iran continues to make one absurd claim after another, most of which revolve around how they haven’t been hurt, and are still a strong power in the region.

They’re not.

They know it.

We know it,

And they know that we know it.

For the past 47 years, the Iranian regime has been chanting “Death to America” and “Death to Israel,” and they have insisted that they are at war with both America and Israel. In act, those have been more than just words as the terrorist regime’s actions have killed thousands of both Americans and Israelis. Israel has, up until now, always responded to the constant attacks against the Jewish state and the Jewish people coming from Iran or their proxies in a bigger tit for a smaller tat sort of way, but October 7^th, 2023 changed that.
