Weekend Edition: More PR Than Money Can Buy

We can’t be policing the whole world.

How many times have you heard that?

It’s a false statement and I suspect even those who employ it, know it.

It’s not about policing, it’s about leading and the two are far different things. Now, perhaps more than ever before, the world needs a leader.

Obama doesn’t think so and neither do his followers.

Ron Paul doesn’t think so either and, of course, neither do HIS followers.

They are wrong. Dead wrong. And if we’re not careful, we’ll all be dead because they’re wrong.

Since the beginning of this nation, we have been that leader. In the war of independence, we defeated the world’s most powerful military force. Was it a fluke? Clearly, they thought so across the pond and so, they tested us again in the war of 1812.

We defeated them again.

Some thought that the war between the states would be our end. It wasn’t. In fact, it made us stronger.

Yes, there have been times when we stumbled…Korea…we stumbled. Vietnam? Yes, we stumbled.

Those were wars, on the world stage, battles.

While stumbling in the battles, on the world stage, we were still the leaders. The cold war loomed through both those conflicts and those who thought maybe we had lost our resolve found that, under Kennedy, we had certainly not.

While Nixon stumbled at home, on the world stage, he opened doors. Because we were the world’s strength, China and the Soviet Union, the world’s other two powers, began at least, to talk to us.

Reagan, through firm and unwavering resolve, won the cold war without firing a shot.

A Potato Will NOT Get Us All Killed

Back in 2002, we caught a Member of the Muslim world, Abu Sufian Ibrahim Ahmed Hamuda bin Qumu , in Pakistan and locked him up in GITMO.

He wasn’t there because he let his kid play in a cul-de-sac.

Well, Back in 2007, we let him go. We sent him to his home country…LIBYA…on the ONE CONDITION that he would be KEPT imprisoned there.

Yesterday…we learned that this very Member of the Muslim world, Abu Sufian Ibrahim Ahmed Hamuda bin Qumu  …TIED TO AL QAEDA FINANCIERS WHO PAID FOR THE ORIGINAL 9-11 ATTACKS…MAY HAVE ACTUALLY LED THE TERRORIST ATTACK ON OUR LIBYAN CONSULATE WHICH KILLED 4 AMERICANS!!!!!

Now…Obama HAD to KNOW this on Tuesday evening when he appeared on Letterman,  as the report ON it was obtained by Fox News Yesterday.

And KNOWING this…he told Letterman and the world that, “The message we have to send to the Muslim world is we expect you to work with us to keep our people safe.”

I had to run that one back on my DVR and played it over and over again.

Did he REALLY say that?

Is that what he REALLY thinks???

Yep.

“The message we have to send to the Muslim world is we expect you to work with us to keep our people safe.”

I am going to explain this as delicately and with as much insight as I possibly can. I am going to make this so crystal clear that even liberals stand an outside change of grasping it.

I am going to make this as nonpartisan as is humanly possible so that those independents who are, at this moment, undecided as to how to vote in November, can make a completely unbiased decision.

Here we go…

Obama’s Pattern of Death and Deceit

Regarding the attack in Libya a week ago today, here is what we know.

First the embassy in Cairo was attacked.

The embassy released a twitter statement apologizing for the event.

The embassy doubled down on that apology.

Mitt Romney released a statement criticizing the apology.

The Obama administration then disavowed the apology.

Hillary Clinton issued a somewhat reworded apology and blamed the event on a You Tube Video.

The attack in Libya then occurred.

Our Ambassador to Libya, another diplomat and 2 Navy Seals were brutally murdered.

Hillary Clinton reissued her statement and doubled down on the “blame the video” rhetoric.

Mitt Romney held a press conference where the press badgered him over the timing of his statement the day before.

Obama made a Rose Garden statement where HE claimed that the 2 events were in response to the video, before jetting off to Vegas for a fund raiser.

The Tea Party Effect at the Convention

With one night to go…It’s already been quite a Convention.

So far, Republicans have been showcasing the differences between  the Romney/Ryan ticket and the Obama administration’s ideology.

As it turns out, liberal/socialist loons have been all too happy to help.

It started even before the Convention with Chris Matthews yelling at Priebus about how Romney is a racist because he mentioned his OWN birth certificate and place of birth.

Then, there were the Code Pinko whackos dressed up like women’s reproductive organs.

Now, as the Convention has progressed, the bats are most certainly out of the belfry.

On the first night of speeches, the race baiting MSNBC decided NOT to show speeches made by conservatives who, just happened to be, minorities. This of course means that in the goo filled minds of liberals in control of MSNBC…If we don’t SHOW minorities speaking…They don’t exist.

This of course follows the 3 year old trick of closing one’s eyes and hence, being invisible.

The Weekend Edition: Tea Party Roots and the Convention

This weekend, we stand on the doorstep of the 2012 Republican Convention.

That convention will begin on Monday, come rain or shine…Hurricane or not In Tampa and just like the expected weather, the event itself will be somewhat stormy.

Not every Republican is happy with the event because not every Republican is happy that Mitt Romney will officially become the GOP Nominee.

Various factions of the Tea Party are holding out hope that their choice, somehow, will become the nominee.

Such is the nature of the Tea Party with which I am proud to identify.

In those early months of the Tea Party, liberals tried, in vein, to label us as everything from racists to angry mobs, to ready for the padded rooms at Bellevue.

But, do you remember the first label? The very first one so falsely attributed to the Tea Party?

Astroturf.

It was April 15th, 2009. TAX DAY. That’s when Nancy Pelosi stepped to a microphone and stated, “This [tea party] initiative is funded by the high end — we call call it astroturf, it’s not really a grassroots movement. It’s astroturf by some of the wealthiest people in America to keep the focus on tax cuts for the rich instead of for the great middle class. “

Astroturf.  NOT a real grassroots movement.

Some of the wealthiest people in America trying to keep the focus on tax cuts for the rich.

The Battle Hymn of the 2012 Election

Over the weekend, I was struck by the words of Paul Ryan at a rally in Manassas Virginia.

It was how he opened his comments.

What he said has been the clarion call of conservatives since the 2010 midterm election.

As the music played at each rally announcing Paul Ryan as Mitt Romney’s running mate, I could help but think…

We need an anthem. No…We need a battle song.

What we DON:T need is a rehashed song bent and twisted to meet the need. Any old song will do if that’s the criteria.

No.

What we need is a  song, written by someone who feels the way WE do. A song which expresses OUR clarion call.

We need a song which speaks directly to US, of who WE are and to what WE must do.

It needs to be a song OF the People, BY the People and FOR the people.

That’s why, when I heard Paul Ryan’s opening words in Manassas on Saturday…I knew EXACTLY what our song should be.

EXACTLY!!!

If you are not yet familiar with Ava Aston…You should be.

A while back, I found the song that she wrote and it shook me to the core.

A Question for the Anybody But Mitt Crowd

Over a considerable amount of time and through the ability to do copious amounts of research, I have become reasonably good at figuring out political quandaries.

I don’t always get it exactly right but, I honestly wish I weren’t right as often as I am.

Finding the answers to questions regarding political ideology, political history, how dots are connected and the end games of certain politicians have become a passion.

I’d like to think I’ve become pretty good at it.

Currently, however, the answer to a most perplexing political question eludes me.

I’m asking for your help.

There is no cash prize involved, like the sum given to the brilliant mind which created the $50.00 light bulb but rest assured, you’ll have my unending gratitude.

Please, somebody…Explain to me exactly how…

Splitting the 2012 presidential vote between Romney, Gingrich, Paul, Cain, Palin, Johnson, Dummett, Tittle and any other number of known or unknown candidates of personal choice will defeat Obama.

Conservatives agree, after all, that Obama needs to be defeated and that if he isn’t, the situation is dire.

In that, at least, there IS agreement.

Thus, the quandary…

Cokie Plays the Race Card…GO FISH!!!

In What can only be described as a desperate attempt to brand the 2012 election as racist and/or to keep some hope of racial division alive, yesterday, Cokie Roberts made a bazaar statement on NPR.

“You remember well the Reagan Democrats, those ethnic white voters who had been Democrats for many years, turned out for Ronald Reagan and have been fairly predictable Republicans since then Now, it’s a smaller percentage of the population, of the voting population than it used to be, but white voters are still much more Republican than any other group in the electorate.

“They went for McCain in 2008 by 55 percent, and I think that, you know, getting those ethnic voters excited is really what Romney has in mind here. It’s more for the folks at home, the descendants of the people that he will be speaking to in Poland.”

So…Cokie is saying that the only reason Romney went to Poland and gave a speech was to excite…”WHITE ETHNIC VOTERS.”

I   HAVE A VERY SIMPLE QUESTION FOR Cokie Roberts:

Obamacare IS a Fundamental Transformation Tax

Obamacare is THE largest TAX INCREASE, the most deceitfully CONTRIVED and UNSCRUPULOUSLY passed bill in American history!!!

As a law, Chief Justice Roberts was absolutely CORRECT in finding it CONSTITUTIONAL as a TAX law and THAT is as FAR as I believe he could possibly go in his ruling. The Supreme Court had no choice but to hear arguments and adjudicate upon the MERITS of the law itself and in that light, Chief Justice Roberts was 100% correct or…Was he?

Here’s a MAJOR problem though…According to the Anti Injunction Act from March 2nd, 1867…NO TAX LAW CAN BE ADJUDICATED UNTIL AFTER IT TAKES EFFECT and in the case of Obamacare, the Supreme Court should NOT have ruled on it in whole…AS A TAX LAW…until after 2018 but that would require yet ANOTHER round in 2 years at the High Court.

Now then, what neither he nor any of the Supreme Court could do, considering the nature of the action by which it was BROUGHT to the Highest Court, was adjudicate it upon the MANNER in which it was passed. I suggest that had THAT aspect been the focus of the case, the outcome may well have been QUITE different.

Roberts and the Court found it to be a TAX law and CONSTITUTIONAL because it’s a TAX law.

Oh…Obama TOLD us it WASN’T a tax and that nobody in the middle class would see THEIR taxes go up…”Not one single dime.” But…And I know this will come as a GREAT shock…Obama was lying. He wasn’t misspoken. He wasn’t misquoted. He wasn’t taken out of context. He wasn’t misunderstood or any of the rest of the lame excuses so often used by politicians.

It’s NOT conservative spin, right wing propaganda, parsing of words, misrepresentation by the right, racist, scare tactics or any of the other things the liberal/socialists are want to use as dismissive talking points or labels either.

Obama was flat out, bald faced, down and dirty, through is teeth, without blinking an eye and without a second thought…

LYING!!!

And one can EASILY believe he was LYING because HE, and a handful of others, KNEW that the ONLY way to obtain passage of Obamacare, was to proceed Unconstitutionally and WITHOUT a SHRED of ethics nor rules adhered to.

Here is how it went down and WHY it SHOULD be regarded as UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

The Palin Effect Felt in Nebraska

Reports of the death of the Tea Party have been greatly exaggerated.

One can easily suspect 3 things.

1)      Nobody who ascribes to the Tea Party values ever thought they were dead.

2)      Liberals knew the Tea Party wasn’t dead but they were hoping beyond hope against another shellacking in November.

3)      The Republican establishment is failing to relegate the Tea Party to the sidelines.

Proof of these things comes first in the results from Indiana where long time establishment mainstay, Sen. Lugar, lost his bid for another term and now, from Nebraska.

On the Husker Nation’s home turf, 2 establishment choices had been considered the odds on favorites for Ben Nelson’s soon to be abandoned Senate seat. Nelson’s Cornhusker Kickback doomed his career as Obamacare relied on bribes to secure votes.

Nebraska, a red state, was all but set to nominate either Don Stenberg of Jon Bruning to run against former Nebraska Governor and Senator Bob Kerry.
