The Albatross That Is Quid Pro Quo

The albatross is a superstitious relic written about in Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s poem “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.” In that poem the narrator killed the bird and his fellow sailors eventually forced him to carry the burden of his crime by wearing the dead bird around his neck. Ever since, the albatross has become a metaphor for a psychological burden that feels like a curse.

The Democrat party has an albatross, a burden that is a curse from which they have but one means of escape…they must remove said albatross from their ship. And that albatross is Joe Biden. He’s in trouble…deep trouble…and the peril for his party is real if they fail to cast the albatross overboard for the trouble Joe Biden is in is much more than political, it’s legal in nature and it’s international in scope. The peril for his party is of his party’s own doing as they continue backing Biden out of a combination of desperation, arrogance, and hatred of Biden’s foe in the upcoming election…President Donald J. Trump.

We want to be very clear here that while desperation over losing the 2016 election and a defacto third term in office for Obama…with Hillary Clinton being but the facade of power in the U.S…coupled with the arrogance of the Democrat party feeling that they were entitled to a third Obama term to finish the “fundamental transformation of America” into a socialist state, did and still does indeed play a significant role in this dire saga. And it’s not blind faith in Joe Biden that has driven the Democrat party to the brink of political disaster…it’s simply their blind hatred of President Trump which has now led them to the edge of the abyss.

The story of the birth of Jesus, as told in two books in the Bible, is a good story full of hope, and promise. That story eventually gave rise to a major religion, Christianity, and it has been told, and retold for the past couple of thousand years.

It’s a story…but it’s a good story.

That story has Jesus being born in a manger, because there was no room at the inn, shepherds, wise men, gifts meant for a King, and so much more. Christians around the world celebrate the story of the birth of Jesus, and hold it dear. There’s nothing wrong with that.

But it is a story that relies on faith rather than on fact…and one should not try to replace the latter with the former.

Thanksgiving…Without the Gravy

Oh boy…Thanksgiving…according to most liberals, the most politically incorrect holiday between Columbus Day and Christmas.

The first Thanksgiving was celebrated in 1621 at Plymouth Colony by the Pilgrims…that much pretty much everybody knows, but there’s a lot about that first celebration that nobody knows because only two accounts of it were ever written down.

The Mainstream Media Monkeys Up Racism

The fake news mainstream media propagandists are at it again, this time going after Florida gubernatorial candidate Ron DeSantis and trying to label him a racist.

True to form, any time liberals are losing an argument on merit, they cry “racism” and hope that the mere accusation is enough to brand their opponent as unworthy of the position.

Last week, DeSantis won the Republican nod in the primary to run against liberal, and socialist, Andrew Gillum who as the Mayor of Tallahassee, Florida has an abysmal record regarding both the economy and crime.

After his primary victory, DeSantis was doing an interview with Fox News when he made a comment that liberals, and his opponent, who happens to be black, seized upon as racist.

Politics and The First Christmas

chr 1It is difficult to escape the political undertow in today’s world. Politics is in play in everything we do, from our daily routines to events half way around the world. Our schools, our streets and roads…regulations imposed on everything from our businesses to the water we drink…wars, conflicts, diplomatic relations with nations both friend and foe…we can’t get up in the morning, proceed with our daily business or go to bed at night without political interference.

This time of the year, we do our best to ignore, to whatever extent possible, the world of politics in favor of time-honored traditions that revolve around Christmas or Chanukah, but we should not forget the role of politics IN Christmas…the first Christmas to be precise.

Just as the death of Jesus on the cross was politically motivated, so too was the story of his birth.

While the scriptures reveal that Joseph and Mary traveled to Bethlehem to pay their taxes, the truth goes politically deeper than that.

Swamp Scum and the REAL Russian Collusion

We are now nearly a year, give or take a few days, from the anniversary of last year’s election…an election that Hillary Clinton was absolutely sure she would win.

Bill Clinton was sure of it as well…as were Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Donna Brazile, the whole of the DNC, Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, Rod Rosenstein, Barack Hussein Obama, James Comey, and just as sure of Hillary’s impending victory, was one Robert Mueller.

All of those key players in what we now see unfolding, or unraveling as various illegal activities all tied to the Obama organized criminal enterprise had just known for years, that Hillary Clinton would succeed Obama that they all engaged in high crimes and misdemeanors, feeling all the while safe in the knowledge that once elected, Hillary would sweep all of it under the proverbial rug.

Weed Weasels, Statues and the Truth

So…today it’s statues that are being removed. Statues of Confederates to be precise, and why? Because some people claim to be offended by them.

It’s a conundrum really.

The terminally offended, which one can most usually find in the deep weeds of their natural habitat…on the left side of the political aisle…say that those statues, of Robert E. Lee, Jefferson Davis and the like just have to go. They must be removed because they are tangible reminders of the era of slavery.

Really?

Reminders of slavery? So, if those statues are removed…what? History is scrubbed clean of the stain of slavery?

It doesn’t work that way.

A Most Fictitious Farewell…Now Get Out!

ofw 1Just this past Tuesday night, a spectacle of spectacles took place in Chicago. In what is arguably the nation’s biggest gun-free…target rich zone, where more than 750 murders took place in 2016, a 58% spike over the previous year, and where a total of 4,368 people were shot last year…

Obama gave his farewell speech.

For the record, in the liberal gun-free Mecca of Chicago…more than 90 people have been shot so far, since January 1st of this year.

But there he was, Mr. Gun Control, and the nation’s leading firearms salesman for 8 years running, licking himself all over…much like my dog does in front of company…telling the assembled socialist collective what a great job he’s done leading our nation…from behind.

Frankly, I was surprised he didn’t drag his butt across the carpet when he was finished, but let’s have a look at some of the highlights from that spreading of manure.

The Snowflake’s Blame Game Epic Fail

Well, the time has come to update folks regarding the Jill Stein/Hillary Clinton recounts in three states…Michigexc-1an, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

Hillary Stein-Clinton was looking for voter fraud in those states…and she, or they, found it.

There was, indeed, voter fraud…on behalf of Hillary Clinton…of which those of us who pay attention to such things knew would happen well in advance of last month’s election…and the recount efforts have now exposed it for all to see.

First…let’s have a look at Michigan.

In Michigan…which was “to close to call” on election night, although in our election night coverage, Diane Sori and I officially, and as it turned out, rightfully called Michigan for Donald Trump days before it was made official…the Hillary Stein-Clinton recount focused the bright light of reality directly where Hillary didn’t want it.

In 50% of Detroit’s precincts, no recount could be done because…the numbers of the votes counted by machines was decisively higher than the number of votes cast by those who signed in at those precincts.
