Liberals in Full-On Meltdown Mode

There are a few things from the start of the Republican National Convention which should surprise nobody.

First, we had Chuck Todd from the Obama propaganda wing known as NBC, stating that, “There are folks with the Romney campaign who think, ‘Boy, Romney can’t catch a break ever since he named Paul Ryan. He got a little momentum after the Ryan pick and then he’s disrupted by two storms. One, a political storm in Todd Akin which we just brought up. But now an actual storm, and when you think when this storm moves to and closer to Louisiana, the specter, the sort of shadow of Bush and Katrina does hang over this convention.

Seriously? THIS is where the liberal media wants to go?

If there is ANY specter or shadow of Katrina it casts itself directly over liberals.

Louisiana had a liberal governor who did NOTHING in the face of the COMING storm and woefully dropped the ball in its wake. The liberal media has, since Katrina, blamed Bush for not sending in the National Guard to evacuate people when, in fact, it would have been illegal to do so without the request of the state’s Governor. She failed to make that request.

It was also the prevue of New Orleans’ Mayor, another liberal, who fled the city for higher ground…IN DALLAS.

And let’s not even get started on the 10s of MILLIONS of dollars given to New Orleans to shore up their levies over the decades which decades of liberal officials spent elsewhere.

Today’s One and Only Convention Speech

Today, at the Convention, not much is going to happen. They’ll gavel in…Go into recess…And hit the cocktail parties because of the big storm.

All the speaker who were scheduled to orate today from the podium, have had their slots shifted and some, like the Governors of the gulf states, have far more important thing to attend to.

ALL the speeches set for today…ALL of them, ar postponed.

All but one.

I figured that, since the podium was open…

Why not?

(ahem)

Greetings to…well…nobody in particular.

I saw on NBC News a couple of days ago, where Neil Young died. This came as quite a shock to me and, I’m reasonable sure, to Neil Young.

It was Neil Armstrong who passed away but, to NBC…Really…What’s the difference? One was an American Hero who became the first man to walk on the Moon and the other is a guy who horned his way into somebody else’s band.

I’m sure NBC’s coverage of this convention will be filled with the same attention to fact as their announcement of the passing of Neil Young.

Weekend Edition: Saluting Neil Armstrong

“I believe this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before the decade is out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to Earth. No single space project in this period will be more impressive to mankind, or more important to the long-range exploration of space; and none will be so difficult or expensive to accomplish.”

Those were the words of a visionary who would not live to know whether or not his vision would be fulfilled.

For those of us who follow NASA, Kennedy’s vision and his challenge were everything.

As a boy, I watched, each time, as NASA sent a man into space. I watched too, as they returned. I remember when the Apollo 3 died in a training fire on a launch pad and thinking that what we all wanted, Kennedy’s vision, was lost.

We were wrong.

I remember watching and listening, on a Christmas Eve as, in orbit around the moon, Genesis was read by our astronauts on Apollo 8.

It was a story I had heard in church and Sunday school for as long as I could remember but, it had never meant so much.

And then, when I was not quite nine years old, it happened.

On TV we watched as Apollo 11 took flight. Even on TV you could tell it was different. It was louder. It was a little slower than the others as it lifted off. Maybe others didn’t notice but, I did. I did because I had memorized every flight. Every rocket. Every launch and every splash down.

I knew exactly what a launch would look like and sound like but, this one, Apollo 11, was different and, so was I.

I knew exactly where they were going and I knew that if they came back, nothing would ever be the same again.

On board were Michael Collins who would not walk where no man had ever walked but, without him, the others wouldn’t make it back. That made Michael Collins as important as anyone who ever rode a rocket.

Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin was there and he would…He WOULD walk where they were going.

And, Neil Armstrong.

He would be the first. If they made it, he would be first.

The Weekend Edition: Tea Party Roots and the Convention

This weekend, we stand on the doorstep of the 2012 Republican Convention.

That convention will begin on Monday, come rain or shine…Hurricane or not In Tampa and just like the expected weather, the event itself will be somewhat stormy.

Not every Republican is happy with the event because not every Republican is happy that Mitt Romney will officially become the GOP Nominee.

Various factions of the Tea Party are holding out hope that their choice, somehow, will become the nominee.

Such is the nature of the Tea Party with which I am proud to identify.

In those early months of the Tea Party, liberals tried, in vein, to label us as everything from racists to angry mobs, to ready for the padded rooms at Bellevue.

But, do you remember the first label? The very first one so falsely attributed to the Tea Party?

Astroturf.

It was April 15th, 2009. TAX DAY. That’s when Nancy Pelosi stepped to a microphone and stated, “This [tea party] initiative is funded by the high end — we call call it astroturf, it’s not really a grassroots movement. It’s astroturf by some of the wealthiest people in America to keep the focus on tax cuts for the rich instead of for the great middle class. “

Astroturf.  NOT a real grassroots movement.

Some of the wealthiest people in America trying to keep the focus on tax cuts for the rich.

Friday Fume

As the polls start to shift, the liberal LOONS are getting twitchier by the minute!!!

They’re seeing their grip on power slip faster t than their GRIP ON SANITY!!!

In desperation, they are grasping the thinnest of threads as they dangle over the abyss and knowing they are about to take the plunge…they seem more and more bent on trying to take us all with them!!!

But guess what?

We’ve GOT all our marbles and we believe in our values…AMERICAN VALUES and unlike the liberal lemmings…WE WILL NOT GO WILLINGLY OVER THE CLIFF!!!

My friends and fellow Patriots…Today is Friday and…

I’m fuming.

For GOD’s sake…

The Freedom From Religion Foundation dipsticks are at it again.

This time, all the way from Wisconsin, they are trying to force an investigation into a GEORGIA high school because the football coach ALLOWED LOCAL CHURCHES TO PREPARE PRE-GAME MEALS FOR THE TEAM!!!

HEAVEN forbid…

The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the National Debt

You know all those statistics thrown about where…If you take all of something nobody gives a rip about, and laid them end to end, they’d stretch from point A to point B?

As an example: If you took all the women George Clooney has dated, and laid them end to end…

(Go ahead and make your own jokes about how tired you’d be)

They would reach from Malibu to Manhattan…Give or take a Stacy Keibler.

I hate those kinds of statistics but, it’s not going to stop me from using one in this article.

We’re talking about our national debt.

Staggering? Is that how you would describe it?

Maybe you have heard that our national debt is skyrocketing. It is you know. Maybe MORE than you know. Alarming? That’s another term you’ve probably heard.

No doubt you’ve heard something about a “fiscal cliff” during national debt discussions.

Oh…If ONLY that were the extent of it. It’s not of course but, we can dream can’t we?

Hey, Obama…What Happened???

It was just 4 years ago that things were SO different.

What happened?

That is the question which must be haunting Obama night and day.

4 years ago, he was a rock star and today, a has been.

4 years ago, anything that had anything to do with him was a mob scene with people pushing and shoving to just get a glimpse. Even if they couldn’t get close enough to see, they could say they were there.

Last week, in his Windy City, a fund raiser was, like his glass, half empty.

Perhaps it was the price of admission.

$51.00 per head.

That’s right, Obama only managed to half fill a room at just fifty one bucks per person. That would have NEVER happened just 4 years ago.

On Principle and In Fact, AKIN MUST GO!!!

In The most important election since 1860, a great deal is at stake.

To be clear, it’s not just the white house.

In order to start the process of taking our nation back, restoring the principles of our founders and framers, congress is equally as important as the presidency.

With the House currently controlled by conservatives, the urgency to keep it that way is pressing.

Also pressing is the need to swing control of the Senate from a liberal majority to a conservative majority.

There seems to be little doubt as to the House remaining in the control of conservatives but, each and every seat up for grabs in the Senate is crucial.

There is something else of a crucial nature which must be brought forward.

Obama’s Lies Unchallenged by Press

There was no zip. No razzle dazzle.

There was no bounce in his step or in his voice.

Clearly, he didn’t want to be there and who could blame him? The last time he did something like this, his words came back to haunt him and immediately so.

“The private sector’s doin’ fine.”

Nonetheless, just minutes into the daily press briefing, while Jay Carney was trying to weasel out of another round of questions, through the door and onto the platform he came.

“I’m told you’ve been missin’ me.”

It was remarkable. Truly remarkable.

Obama, yesterday, after being shamed into it by members of the white house press corps, took questions from reporters for the first time in 8 weeks.

Truly remarkable the number of lies which can be told in a few brief minutes.

Asked about negative campaigning, Obama responded:

Ground Zero Cross – Atheists Have No Prayer

To Atheists,

You’re upset over the inclusion of the Ground Zero Cross in the Memorial Museum. You’re suing over it.

Really?

Well, too bad.

You claim the Cross is causing headaches and, “dyspepsia” among your non believers.

Get over it.

You claim that the Ground Zero Cross is nothing but “an ugly piece of wreckage that does not represent anything … but horror and death.”

I am sure, that to you, that is exactly what it does resemble because, you have no faith. However, the fact that YOU are devoid of faith does not mean others are equally devoid.

That cross, the Ground Zero Cross DOES mean something quite significant to others.
