Minneapolis is Selling Your 1st Amendment Rights

Last year, Minneapolis wanted to “defund the police” and move away from law enforcement as we know it.

They did just that. They slashed funding to their local law enforcement agencies and what happened? Exactly what Conservatives said would happen. Crime in Minneapolis skyrocketed, and nobody with a working brain cell was surprised.

After months of dealing with the inevitable outcome of less police, and less law enforcement capabilities, Minneapolis suddenly wanted to add funds to the police, hire MORE police officers and bring back law enforcement to their city.

If Laura Ingraham is correct, and democrats are hiding their “true agenda” I would submit that they’re doing a pretty piss-poor job of it.

That agenda was on full display during the Justice Amy Coney Barrett hearings. The democrats are in favor of killing the soon to be born, they’re in favor of disarming American citizens, they’re in favor of socialism, and they’re in favor of legislating socialism from the bench.

The democrats are against your rights…all of them, they’re against your ability to determine your own path in life, they’re against you keeping more of the money you earn, and they’re against the greatest judicial system on the planet.

The Intellect and Conscience of Independence

On July 4th, we celebrate our nation’s birth and this year, 2020, it will be the 244th time we have done so but that date, while by no means suspect, should be seen in context. One of our founders thought the celebration would occur on a different date and he, in no uncertain terms, put it in writing using the social media of the day.

The date was July 1st, 1776 when John Adams, a prolific letter writer and a visionary founder of our nation penned a letter to his wife Abigail Adams, in which he made what at the time was a series of bold predictions.

“The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.”

Adams missed the mark by 2 days, believing that the day the document was presented to the Continental Congress, not the day it would be adopted, would be the celebratory day, but this excerpt from a simple letter offers much more, I believe, than a 48 hour premature pronouncement of celebration.

That letter, I submit, is a look behind the scenes and provides a fresh look at how one of our founders perceived the moment.

I’ll return to this letter after a look at the historical context which encouraged Adams to put his pen to parchment.

Jefferson – 17 Days To Immortality

Imagine if you will, going to work one day where you had become known as the quiet one who hardly ever spoke out. On that day, you were appointed to a committee and that committee’s task was to prepare a major report which would set the direction of your company for years to come.

Daunting though that might seem, now, imagine being given a deadline of less than 3 weeks to compile that report.

Oh, it gets better.

The little committee tells you that YOU’RE in charge of the project. Oh, they’ll HELP but, YOU get to write it and THEY’LL look it over, maybe give you a little advice or make a change or two but it’s YOUR baby.

Mr. Biden, It’s Time For Your Pudding

That is one of the most well-known sentences from arguably THE most famous document ever written. With those words, Thomas Jefferson ushered into being the greatest nation on Earth, and those words have echoed throughout the world to this day.

That document, our Declaration of Independence, and those words should be known by all Americans, and until recently, were taught in our schools.

In fact, anyone over the age of 35 is, or should be as familiar with that sentence as they are with their own names…

Patriotically Correct and Proud of It

Okay, I admit it. I’m confused.

Not the sort of confused in that I don’t know which bathroom I’m supposed to use…that’s liberal confused, and if I ever go down that particular manhole, I hope someone has the common decency to put me out of my misery.

Manholes. We can’t call them manholes any more, at least not in Berkeley, California because they just passed a city ordinance dictating that manholes must now be called “maintenance holes.” Apparently, the women of Berkeley are feeling left out by not having something named after them that leads to a sewer.

In Berkeley, you are no longer allowed to be somebody’s brother or sister. You are only allowed to be a “sibling.” By the dictate of the new ordinance, such gendered pronouns as “he” and “she” are be replaced by “they” or “them,” which no doubt will cause no end of issues in certain circumstances.

On Private Militias and Their Future

“A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” – the all-important Second Amendment to the United States Constitution.

 

Recently, so-called “private militias” have become a hot-button issue of contention for those who simply do not understand the true nature of militias and why they are desperately needed in these trying political times. And while “private militias” existed long before the framing of our Constitution as well as their having played an important part in our nation’s founding, this article is not about the history of American militias per se as their history can be easily “googled,” but it is about why “private militias” are today not only gaining in numbers both start-up and membership wise, but why they can and must be accepted as robust defensive adjuncts to help aid our country’s state defense forces…forces more commonly known as SDF, state military, state guards, state militias, or state military reserves…and why it has become so imperative to address the numerous other rolls “private militias” can play in today’s America.

When one thinks of Christmas, the true and first Christmas, one thinks of tiny Bethlehem. That’s where it started. Bethlehem.

So too, perhaps via divine providence, is Bethlehem a key to our nation’s birth.

American Greatness Defined

Recently, some anti-Trump agitator posted a question on Facebook asking those who support President Trump…”when was America great anyway?”

Obviously, this was a person who doesn’t think America has ever been great, nor should America be great and therefore, the campaign slogan “Make America Great Again” is a non-starter. This person was also sucking around for an argument, hoping to irritate Conservatives and draw them into some mindless altercation where the poser of the question could then start in with their anti-American nonsense.

With that clearly in mind, and knowing full well that commenting on Facebook simply didn’t provide the necessary space to properly answer that idiot’s question…I decided to dedicate a bit of time to the answer here, in The National Patriot.
