New Voter ID Laws Have Liberals Walking Funny

Liberals are getting their collective panties all wadded up – but what else is new? This round of bloomer bunching is all about new voter ID laws and liberals are nearly beside themselves.

Right now, at least 34 states have instituted new voter ID laws which require, among other things, that when voters show up at the polls, they have ID and in some cases…OH THE HUMANITY…They will need a PHOTO ID!!

Why…According to many liberals…the Republicans are intentionally disenfranchising 30 million voters!

Ummm…Huh?

Wendy Weiser who was the co-author of the Brannan Center Report stated, “When you have millions potentially unable to vote, it will undoubtedly have political consequences.”

Really? Unable to vote?

Congressman John Lewis (Dem. – GA) is calling these new voter ID laws a “Poll tax.”

Seriously? A tax?

The Cain Scandal -Problematic but Not Yet Dire

This whole Herman Cain “scandal” is starting to look ridiculous. The more we learn, the more it looks like a ginned up hit piece against a GOP front runner. It’s not without its points of fact – but those few points, at least for now, seem relatively small.

Let’s look at what we know as facts:

Fact 1) Two women, 10 years ago, made allegations of sexual harassment against Herman Cain when he was the Chairman of the Board for the Restaurant Association.

Fact 2) The Restaurant Association made the decision that it was less expensive to settle out of court that to take the case to court.

Fact 3) One of those women was paid $35,000, equal to a year’s salary, let go and she signed an agreement to not talk about it.

Fact 4) We don’t know, at this point, what the settlement was regarding the other woman.

Fact 5) Herman Cain was not fired by the Restaurant Association.

For now, regarding what took place some 10 years ago with Herman Cain and these allegations, that is what we know as facts.

Here are the troubling things regarding the surfacing of this story in regard to Herman Cain:

Coming Soon to a Supreme Court Near You – Obamacare

In less than 2 weeks, we will know whether or not the Supreme Court will hear the case against Obamacare. As it now stands, more than half the states are engaged in that action and it is widely believed that the fate of Obamacare will rest in the hands of the Court.

Before we get to that, a refresher in the issues at hand might be a good thing.

At the heart of the lawsuits regarding Obamacare is the “individual mandate.” That is, of course, the part of Obamacare which makes it mandatory for people to purchase their healthcare from a government approved…government…healthcare provider.

For those who don’t, a fine disguised as a tax will be levied against them at a rate of $750.00 or 2% of income.

I say “disguised” because this is neither an income nor an excise tax – but a punishment or a means of enforcement and while Obama and his administration can call it whatever they want to call it; the fact remains, it is a punishment…Not a tax. Proof of this lies in the fact that the tax…er…Mandate is $750.00 or 2% of income…Whichever constitutes the higher amount.

U.S. Slaps Israel in the Face!!!

In a strange turn of events, though not an unexpected turn, the U.S. has cut 60 million dollars worth of funding to the U.N. – but this situation is far from over and  the ramifications are very interesting.

Today, the U.N. Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization voted 107-14 with 52 abstentions thus admitting the Palestinians as full U.N. Members.

According to our State Department spokeswoman, Victoria Nuland, “Palestinian membership as a state in UNESCO triggers longstanding legislative restrictions which will compel the United States to refrain from making contributions to UNESCO.”

Actually, Palestinian Membership granted by ANY U.N. committee or group would trigger such a move and I’ll get back to that.

Of the UNESCO budget, we, the United States is responsible for about $80 million per year or roughly 22% of that total budget and in November, we were scheduled to make a $60 million payment…That is now NOT going to happen…

Or WILL it?

Putting the Polls and the Debates in Perspective

It’s time I think, to take another look at the GOP field with regards to the debates and their positions in the polls. While there is plenty to cover, it can actually be boiled down rather neatly if you know at what to look.

To start with, let’s look at the debates.

It would take days to cover each and every little nuance of all the debates thus far and doing so would likely yield little in the way of usefulness. Not that what these candidates have said ISN’T useful, it’s just not where we need to focus for the purpose of this article.

In What America do YOU Believe?

Has the fool on the hill finally seen the light? Has Obama started to come around to OUR side? It certainly seems like it if you listen to the words he is now employing on his latest campaign swing.

“If you get sick, you’re on your own. If you can’t afford college, you’re on your own. If you don’t like that some corporation is polluting your air or the air that your child breathes, then you’re on your own.”

Sounds a lot like…Self Reliance to me.

Here’s the code.

Obama = Big Government.

On your own = Self Reliance

A Progressive March to the Brink of Self Destruction

The election of 2012 will be the – THE – most important election in our 235-year history. We’ve heard this said and while many agree, I believe it needs context. To say an election is THE most important, one really needs to know which previous election set the standard.

To do that, I believe we must go back and have a look at the election of 1860.

It was the 1860 election which gave us President Lincoln – but it was what led to that momentous moment which makes the 1860 election so important and to this day, the most…MOST important we have ever seen.

We all know that slavery was the…THE issue in that election but few people know why. Of course there are the known factors in that slavery was wrong, the south wanted it, the north did not and the divide would lead to civil war – but what was it which lit the fuse?

To be frank, it was the Kansas–Nebraska Act.

In 1854, that Act, which replaced the Missouri Compromise, was written by and pushed to passage by Lincoln’s future opponent Stephen Douglas.

A Patriot, AZ Sheriff and Maybe a Force in the House

Look out D.C. because you just might find a new Sheriff in town!!!

Arizona Sheriff Paul Babeu is strongly considering a run for the House in 2012 and The National Patriot could not possibly be happier to hear it!

In Pinal County, AZ, Sheriff Paul has formed an exploratory committee looking into this possibility – and as we all know, one does not form such a committee without a serious reason.

Sheriff Paul has become nationally known – but unlike Sheriff Joe, also from Arizona – Sheriff Paul does not seem to seek publicity for his own reelections but because of a deep seeded drive for the safety of those he has sworn to protect. While both are fine law enforcement individuals, they do have a decidedly different style.

Sheriff Babeu has brought more attention to the legal aspects, the safety aspects and the dire consequences of illegal immigration than any other single law enforcement officer in the country. The lack of federal control over the border, the flood of drugs, the rise in violence and the staggering financial burden of illegal immigration do not happen in Sheriff Paul’s BACKyard…they happen every day in his FRONT yard.

This Patriot Sheriff has been for years trying to wake up national law makers and make his county, his state and the nation more safe but has been met by frustration over and over again. First, that frustration came from his own Governor and now, that FORMER Governor is heading up Homeland Security; and in that position, Napolitano has consistently claimed the border is safer now than ever before.

Obama, the Emperor, Has No Clothes

None of this should come as any surprise. None of it. The National Patriot has all but predicted it, and now it’s coming to pass.

The Obama doctrine is coming home to roost in the most dangerous part of the world and the result will be an even more dangerous world.

Last week, I posed the question, “What’s next for Libya?”

In that article, I pointed out how the vacuum had been created with the ouster of Gaddafi and how the Muslim Brotherhood was standing in the wings.

Yesterday, as the Libyan National Transitional Council declared liberation following the killing of Gadaffi, they went exactly where I knew they would go.

That council has made it crystal clear that Sharia Law will be the basis of their new government which ensures that their people, the Libyans who fought for their freedom from a brutal dictator of 42 years, will now see it replaced by an even more brutal regime.

Is Herman Cain Striking Out?

Over the last several weeks, conservatives have been raising Cain. Herman Cain’s rise in the polls has been steep and sudden. It wasn’t that long ago that most conservatives were only vaguely aware of Cain and knew him best as the former CEO of Godfathers Pizza.

That started to change when Cain announced, several months ago, that he was a Presidential candidate for 2012. After a couple of debates, Cain started to gain some traction but it wasn’t until he started talking about his 9-9-9 tax plan that his numbers really started taking off.

Now, as more people start analyzing the 9-9-9 plan, it has started to look a little tarnished. For some, though Cain denies it, it seems to raise their taxes. It’s simple and that’s what caught attention but, when it’s put to specific questions, it may well be too simple and in some ways, unworkable.
