Last week, United Airlines got woke. They announced that over the next decade, 50% of all 5,000 pilots they train will be women, or people of color.
Good for United Airlines.
They have decided that skin color and gender is far more important than the pesky, nit-picky requirement that their pilots be able to deliver their passengers to the scene of their destination rather than to the scene of the crash.
Personally, I don’t give a happy damn what color or gender the pilot is so long as they know how to fly the plane, but when you make color and gender the deciding factor in who you train to be the pilot…my major concern isn’t your major concern.
There’s a lot of this sort of wokeness going around and none of it makes any sense whatsoever.
