I Do, and We as a Nation Should, Stand With Israel

On Wednesday, November 2nd, Israel test fired a missile, said to be ballistic, which is also reported to have the range to reach Iran. This comes after a weekend leak of growing support for a preemptive strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

While such an attack by Israel against Iran has always been on the table, the news, or at least the reports of an eminent strike have been ramped up.

Iran, for their part, promises that Israel would be punished for such an attack.

To understand why this is much more a hot issue today than, say, a week ago, one must understand what has led to this – and then, what the implications would be should it happen.

New Voter ID Laws Have Liberals Walking Funny

Liberals are getting their collective panties all wadded up – but what else is new? This round of bloomer bunching is all about new voter ID laws and liberals are nearly beside themselves.

Right now, at least 34 states have instituted new voter ID laws which require, among other things, that when voters show up at the polls, they have ID and in some cases…OH THE HUMANITY…They will need a PHOTO ID!!

Why…According to many liberals…the Republicans are intentionally disenfranchising 30 million voters!

Ummm…Huh?

Wendy Weiser who was the co-author of the Brannan Center Report stated, “When you have millions potentially unable to vote, it will undoubtedly have political consequences.”

Really? Unable to vote?

Congressman John Lewis (Dem. – GA) is calling these new voter ID laws a “Poll tax.”

Seriously? A tax?

Coming Soon to a Supreme Court Near You – Obamacare

In less than 2 weeks, we will know whether or not the Supreme Court will hear the case against Obamacare. As it now stands, more than half the states are engaged in that action and it is widely believed that the fate of Obamacare will rest in the hands of the Court.

Before we get to that, a refresher in the issues at hand might be a good thing.

At the heart of the lawsuits regarding Obamacare is the “individual mandate.” That is, of course, the part of Obamacare which makes it mandatory for people to purchase their healthcare from a government approved…government…healthcare provider.

For those who don’t, a fine disguised as a tax will be levied against them at a rate of $750.00 or 2% of income.

I say “disguised” because this is neither an income nor an excise tax – but a punishment or a means of enforcement and while Obama and his administration can call it whatever they want to call it; the fact remains, it is a punishment…Not a tax. Proof of this lies in the fact that the tax…er…Mandate is $750.00 or 2% of income…Whichever constitutes the higher amount.

Holder Sues for Right to Continue Immigration Failures

Yet another state, this time, South Carolina, has been added to the list of states now being sued by this administration over their laws aimed at stemming the tide of illegal immigration. According to the Obama administration, individual states have no right to protect their citizens from, try to stop the wild out-of-control spending related to or stop employers from hiring illegal aliens.

As a state, just try and do something about it, and you will be sued.

On the other hand, make your state or your city a sanctuary for illegal aliens and what exactly will this administration do?

Nothing.

A DECLARATION TO RESTORE THE CONSTITUTIONAL

REPUBLIC NATIONAL CALL FOR UNITED ACTION

A call to action has been issued! Will or can you attend?

Patriots Union.org and Veteran Defenders.org have issued  the call to action.

“When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.”

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.” – from the U.S. Declaration of Independence

An undisclosed number of American Veterans and former service members have come together to prepare and present this Call-to-Action on behalf of the U.S. Constitution, the Republic, the Rule of Law and equal justice for all freedom loving citizens of the United States of America.   1. We CALL upon every member of federal, state and local government, legislative, judicial, law enforcement and military, who have taken an oath to protect and defend the Constitutional Republic from all enemies, foreign and domestic, to act upon those oaths for the stated purpose of restoring the Constitutional Republic.
  2. We CALL upon ALL veterans and veteran organizations in America, who still believe in their oath to protect and defend, to unite with us at once – in this Declaration to Restore the Constitutional Republic.

U.S. Slaps Israel in the Face!!!

In a strange turn of events, though not an unexpected turn, the U.S. has cut 60 million dollars worth of funding to the U.N. – but this situation is far from over and  the ramifications are very interesting.

Today, the U.N. Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization voted 107-14 with 52 abstentions thus admitting the Palestinians as full U.N. Members.

According to our State Department spokeswoman, Victoria Nuland, “Palestinian membership as a state in UNESCO triggers longstanding legislative restrictions which will compel the United States to refrain from making contributions to UNESCO.”

Actually, Palestinian Membership granted by ANY U.N. committee or group would trigger such a move and I’ll get back to that.

Of the UNESCO budget, we, the United States is responsible for about $80 million per year or roughly 22% of that total budget and in November, we were scheduled to make a $60 million payment…That is now NOT going to happen…

Occupy WHAT???

After a full month of “Occupy” protests I have come to the conclusion that the vast majority of those…”Occupiers” are really just looking for options. They don’t feel they have any.

So, to help those who just feel lost, I have decided to offer a few suggestions.

1)      Occupy your own dwelling.

2)      Occupy a Port-a-Potty

3)      Occupy Common Sense

4)      Occupy your OWN bank account

5)      Occupy Rehab

6)      Occupy a country which doesn’t allow  you  to “Occupy” anything

7)      Occupy a job

8)      Occupy your pants

9)      Occupy a mental ward

10)   Occupy a shower

I’m just one guy and I am certain our TNP readers can come up with far more great ideas here than can I. Friends, please…I encourage YOU to offer YOUR suggestions…YOUR best options for the “Occupiers” who are just plain lost, out there, wandering the wilderness in search of the most appropriate locations to…Occupy.

Stirring the Pot – A Dangerous Sign in Libya

And there it is. Proudly waving in a stiff breeze…There it is.

Hanging from the front of the building is a different flag but on the top of the building…There it IS.

First, the building itself.

That’s where it all started. It’s the site of the skirmish. This building is where Libyan rebels first had a direct challenge with Gaddafi loyalists and now it’s viewed as symbolic seat of power. That building, in the photo above, is the courthouse in Bengazi, Libya.

The large flag…The one hanging from the front of the building sort of folded over from the wind, THAT flag is the rebel flag.

Now then, the one on the TOP of the Bengazi courthouse. The flag that’s standing nearly straight out as a strong wind blows. Yes, that black flag. THAT flag represents quite a group.

Has the fool on the hill finally seen the light? Has Obama started to come around to OUR side? It certainly seems like it if you listen to the words he is now employing on his latest campaign swing.

“If you get sick, you’re on your own. If you can’t afford college, you’re on your own. If you don’t like that some corporation is polluting your air or the air that your child breathes, then you’re on your own.”

Sounds a lot like…Self Reliance to me.

Border Agent Jesus E. Diaz Jr. was named in a November 2009 federal grand jury indictment with deprivation of rights under color of law during an October 2008 arrest near the Rio Grande in Eagle Pass and has now been sentenced to 2 years behind bars.
