As the situation in Iran continues to unfold, everybody seems focused on the pounding the regime there has been taking for the past three weeks and rightly so. The constant bombardment by U.S. and Israeli forces makes lots of noise, and Iranian regime leaders are falling faster than Joe Biden on a set of stairs.
Sure, Iran still has some fight left in them, at least they say they do. Iran’s navy has been sunk. Their air force has been blown to bits. The regime’s command and control centers have been virtually wiped out. Iranian air defense is in a shambles.
The Iranian stockpiles of missiles are being blasted out of existence. Their missile launchers have been clobbered, and their fleets of drones are being picked off.
Iran’s military installations on Kharg Island are smoldering, and their ability to launch attacks against their neighboring nations has been cut by 80-90 percent. Even their military production factories have been bombed back to the stoneage.
It has gotten to the point where the original regime leadership was wiped out in the first 30 seconds of action, and now the replacements for the replacements are being vaporized, but whoever is pretending to run the regime is claiming their cardboard cutout Supreme Leader is doing fine and they say they’re winning the war.
It’s a bit like Monty Python’s Black Knight.
U.S. Central Command released the following video last week to show what the joint U.S./Israel operation is doing to Iran’s command and control facilities.
Of course, if you were to ask the Iranian regime about those buildings, they’d tell you that with a bit of aluminum siding and a few potted plants they’d be as good as new.
While liberal loons have taken up for the islamist Iranian regime of death and destruction, even Al Jazeera, Qatar’s state-run media says Iran is losing…and they’ve been pretty cozy with Iran and Iran’s proxies over the years. According to Al Jazeera, “The US-Israeli strategy against Iran is working.” The author of the article, Muhanad Seloom, said last week, “When you look at what has actually happened to Iran’s principal instruments of power – its ballistic missile arsenal, its nuclear infrastructure, its air [defenses], its navy and its proxy command architecture – the picture is not one of US failure. It is one of systematic, phased degradation of a threat that previous administrations allowed to grow for four decades.”
Meanwhile, in other news…Nancy Guthrie is still missing, we’ve heard absolutely nothing regarding the blathering idiot who squirted Ilhan Omar (another blathering idiot) with apple cider vinegar more than a month ago, and…oh yes…Cuba is about to collapse upon itself.
Yep, Cuba…that bastion of communism 90 miles off the coast of the free state of Florida went dark last week as the power went out. Well, to be fair, it wasn’t completely dark as parts of a couple of key Cuban cities were illuminated at night by the Cuban people, having had quite enough of their commie regime, lighting Cuban communist party headquarters ablaze.
It started in the streets of Morón, Cuba on Friday, March 13th, as protesters, fed up…rose up and broke into the Communist Party headquarters building, dragged some furniture outside and lit it on fire. Chants of “Burn it all down!” and “Freedom! Freedom!” could be heard on videos posted to social media. That action took place just a few hours after Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel acknowledged in a televised address that members of the Cuban government had been in talks with the Trump administration, which had cut off oil shipments to the island for the past three months.
That’s a sign of desperation by the Cuban regime.
To be clear, neither socialism nor communism ever works. Oh sure, it sounds good when you tell people that by turning every aspect of their lives over to government control, the government will turn your country into a utopia…but it never works out that way. The geopolitical landscape is littered with failed examples of such utopian dreams. The best that socialists can hope for is that everybody ends up equally poor, but that’s really the last gasp before the collapse. Margaret Thatcher said it best, “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.”
So, how correct was Thatcher? Well, last Monday, Oscar Pérez-Oliva Fraga, Commie Cuba’s deputy prime minister and minister for foreign trade and investment who is also (by the way) a great-nephew of Fidel and Raúl Castro, said that Cuban exiles are welcome to invest in the island. According to Fraga, returning Cuban exiles would for the first time be able to openly own businesses on the island, invest in large-scale infrastructure projects, and (get this) hold bank accounts with state-run banks.
Two things really stand out in that statement. First, Cuba has run out of other people’s money, and second, if you’re dumb enough to return TO Cuba, you can put your money into banks run by the Cuban commie party where they will treat it as a new source of “other people’s money.”
Let’s just be clear here, Cuba has been propped up for decades, going back to the 1950’s, by Russia, and they have for years been on the receiving end of cheap oil from both Russia and Venezuela…until recently. Maduro is out of power in Venezuala, and Russia’s supply of cheap oil…from Iran…has dried up. Add to that the fact that Russia has their hands full against Ukraine combined with the blockade of Cuba by the U.S. and you can now see why the promised “utopia” that never really was came crashing down in but three month’s time.
So, who are these Cuban exiles that Cuba now wants back, and where are they currently living?
Honestly, the only exiles Cuba is interested in now, are those who fled the communist revolution and now live in the United States. And why does Cuba want them back? Well, it’s not because the exiles are poor and desperately want to return to the communist fold…it’s because they have become successful in the U.S., many working hard, many owning businesses and making a living for themselves and their families. To be brutally honest…the desperate and failing Cuban commie regime isn’t looking for socialists or communists to return home…they want CAPITALISTS because neither socialists nor communists can bail out the destitute despots of the Cuban government.
Cuba is at the tipping point, but not the tipping point that liberal idiot, congressman Hank Johnson mentioned several years ago with regard to Guam.
It is not an imbalance of weight distribution that is about to capsize Cuba…it’s an imbalance of political ideology, but nonetheless, fools continue to believe that communist Cuba is worth saving, and the U.S. is solely at fault for Cuba’s problems. Liberals in the U.S. are now tripping all over themselves trying to prop up Cuba through protests, but they seem confused by what dictatorship they’re supposed to be supporting at any given moment. They’re running out of lapel space for all the various pins, and all the flags they’re being paid to wave are starting to look the same.
But it’s not just our home-grown morons now advocating in favor of keeping Cuba communist…it has spilled over into the realm of the absurd.
I give you…Greta Thunberg.
Yep, you heard that correctly…the grumpy gremlin who once so famously scowled, “HOW DARE YOU,” with regard to the burning of fossil fuel, is now scolding those at whom she scowled for blocking oil from reaching Cuba.
Guess what Greta is doing now. She’s trying to organize a flotilla to take “humanitarian” supplies to Cuba. She tried that twice a year or so ago to get “humanitarian” supplies into Gaza, but she was, alas, turned away both times. As it turned out, her flotilla of supplies didn’t even contain enough supplies for the dingbats on the dingies and when Israel scooped them up…both times…the Israelis fed them before sending them home.
Greta…you moron…people have been joining flotillas to get OUT of Cuba for DECADES, and you are trying to gin one up to get INTO Cuba? That’s a whole new level of stupid.
Let’s be honest, the social media shrew was just trying to collect likes on her live stream, and despite her claims of being “kidnapped” by Israel, all she got was a couple of free meals and a plane ticket back home.
Greta’s efforts to free Cuba from the brink of attaining freedom will be as useful to that communist regime as “Queers For Palestine” was to Hamas.
The only remaining question is…which regime falls first?
If I were a betting man, I’d put my money on Cuba, but whatever is left of the junior Ayatoilet and his regime won’t be far behind.
