Back in 2023, NPR quit Twitter because Elon Musk slapped the label of “government-funded media.” Naturally, the dolts at NPR wadded up their panties saying the label was inaccurate and misleading, because  NPR is a private, nonprofit company with “editorial independence.”  They said NPR receives less than 1 percent of its $300 million annual budget from the “federally funded Corporation for Public Broadcasting.”

That was then, and now, the dolts over at NPR have their collective panties twisted into knots because…their federal funding was just yanked out from under them.

Congress, in what’ been called a “rescission package,” just cut $9 billion in federal funding and eliminated all federal funding for NPR and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Naturally, elected liberals and the liberal propagandist media immediately started claiming that without NPR being federally funded…people were going to die. NPR CEO Katherine Maher issued a statement claiming that, “Nearly 3-in-4 Americans say they rely on their public radio stations for alerts and news for their public safety.”

Here’s senate liberal loon, Amy Klobuchar shoveling BS like a manure spreader.

First of all, 75% of Americans are NOT getting their weather or news alerts from NPR. That’s just pure crap. If you have a cell phone, any smart phone and most people do have smart phones, regardless of what carrier you’re with, local alerts trigger a warning alarm along with information regarding the nature of the alert directly to your device.

Second, Klobuchar has the nerve to bring up the flooding in Texas as a reason not to cut NPR’s funding, but that weather event killed well over 100 people and left many more than that missing. Why? Were they not watching or listening to NPR in those moments? Are people in Florida safe from hurricanes only because of NPR? Get a clue. It is the apex of arrogance to believe that ONLY NPR broadcasts can save people from…the weather. And what of other news? Well, according to a Pew Research Survey, NPR’s listenership is 87% democrat, and NPR deliberately declined to offer news coverage on the assassination attempt on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh in 2018, and ignored Joe Biden’s business dealings with Hunter Biden, among other omissions.

How about NPR’s coverage of the fake Russian Collusion liberal narrative? NPR took pathological liar, Adam Schiff’s word for everything and ran with it. COVID? NPR dismissed the lab-leak theory which turned out to be true, and acted as though it was complete nonsense. Hunter’s laptop? NPR almost completely ignored that too, virtually only mentioning it to claim it was Russian disinformation and Republicans were full of crap to claim otherwise. The list of stories missed, ignored or completely botched by NPR is long indeed, but they never bothered to own up after their “journalism” was totally debunked.

Admitting their malfeasance and liberal slant to every topic they covered simply went against the rules of propaganda. The fact of the matter is that NPR and PBS have for far too long been a U.S. taxpayer subsidized propaganda arm of the DNC spreading fake news, ignoring the truth, and in far too many cases, indoctrinating kids through what used to be kid-friendly shows.

Nobody is going to die because NPR lost their taxpayer dollars, but if they do, it will be solely on the shoulders of their 87% democrat, propaganda loving, fake news addicted audience that fails to pony up the cash out of their own pockets to make up the difference.

Good luck NPR.

Of course public propaganda NPR wasn’t the only liberal media circus tent to collapse over the past week or so, as CBS finally pulled the plug on the ’Late Show” with Stephen Colbert.

Just over a week ago, CBS announced that The Late Show would come to an end next May, and almost immediately, liberals jumped all over it and blamed President Trump. After nearly a moment of introspection, liberals also deemed the cancellation as a violation of free speech, fascist, and the end of democracy. To be clear…it is none of those things.

CBS said ending the Late Show was a financial decision, and it is. While CBS may not be able to read the writing on the wall, at least we know they can read a balance sheet. The Late Show had a staggering $100 million dollar budget. Colbert was reportedly being paid between $16-$20 million per year. He had a staff of 200 people, and the show was LOSING a reported $40 million bucks per year. Did politics play a part in the upcoming cancellation? Probably, but not in the way liberals want you to believe it did.

Colbert has been hosting that show for 11 years, and his entire run has been nothing but following the fake news party line, and hating Trump. Late night TV shows are supposed to be funny, and Colbert wasn’t funny. He was spiteful, hateful, wrong on every issue, preachy, lecturing, ranting, sobbing and stupid…but he wasn’t funny. While he was at the top of the ratings in what’s referred to as the broadcast media…the late night race between CBS, ABC and NBC, Colbert was drawing 1 million fewer viewers that Gutfeld over on Fox, and when one really looks deeper into the numbers…it’s shocking. CBS, as a broadcast media outlet is fed to 299,861,665 Americans while Fox is labeled as cable TV reaches just shy of 70 million Americans.

That means that Colbert’s available audience is better than four times the available audience every night for Gutfeld, and yet Gutfeld pulls in more than 1 million more viewers. Based on the numbers, from the grossly inflated budget to the miserable ratings, CBS can no longer afford to keep feeding the Trump Derangement Syndrome fueled hate-fest on the air because advertisers aren’t willing to pay more money for less exposure.

It’s the economy stupid.

As for the whole “violation of first amendment rights” crap being spewed by liberals, the First Amendment clearly states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” CONGRESS did not cancel Colbert’s show…CBS did that. To put an even finer point on it, nobody is entitled to a TV show platform. That’s something you have to earn by being good at whatever it is you do and TV executives believing that people might want to watch it…but that comes with a caviat…it also has to be something for which advertisers are willing to pay.

Liberals have become socialists, and the idea of capitalism is repugnant to them. The notion that TV is a business that must make money to survive…that the product being broadcast has to appeal to viewers AND advertisers, to liberals is just plain wrong but they’re certainly not going to allow the facts get in the way of their hatred of President Trump.

Liberals  continue to call Colbert’s cancellation censorship, and continue to claim that Trump is behind it, but in doing so, they’re hoping you forget that it was THEIR party that just a few years ago was cancelling conservatives. Ask Rosanne Barr, or Tim Allen, or James Woods…that list just goes on and on. It was the liberals in charge when Obama colluded with social media giants like Twitter  and Facebook to de-platform Conservatives or prevent them from posting. If you were on the right side of the political aisle, and expressed your views on the Russia collusion hoax, or COVID, or Hunter’s laptop…poof…you were banned from social media and it was proven, and admitted to by the heads of those social media giants that they were taking their orders from the DNC and the Obama regime.

Remember when Conservatives were being arrested for speaking at school board meetings? Remember when Trump himself got booted from social media platforms? Remember when Conservatives were not allowed to speak or hold events on college campuses? That was ALL actual government sponsored censorship directed and orchestrated by liberal political entities, and the same liberals now up in arms over Colbert’s show being yanked…said nothing back then.

Perhaps the most brain-dead reaction to a show that was bleeding money being cancelled I’ve ever heard of came from Sunny Hostin on “The View.” Hostin said, “My concern is, if it is political, then everyone should be concerned. People on the right should be concerned. People on the left should be concerned. Because it’s very clear that, if it is political, this is the dismantling of our democracy. This is the dismantling of our Constitution. Right?”

Wrong. Only an abject liberal idiot would think that cancelling a TV show 10 months down the road when it’s contract schedule runs out due to the fact that it is losing wads of money every year equates to the dismantling of the U.S. Constitution. I suspect that a scientific device which is small enough to measure Sunny Hostin’s intellect has not yet been invented. Perhaps Hostin, rather than trying to opine on things she is incapable of grasping, should ask to see a spreadsheet regarding The View’s budget and ABC’s return on investment. Obviously, somebody will have to explain it to her, but I suspect she should be more concerned with the future of her own employment than with liberal doomsday prognostications.

Johnny Carson hosted The Tonight Show for better than 30 years as the King of Late Night and the hallmark of his run was that he was funny. Now I know that the political landscape is polarized today, but it was also polarized in Carson’s time. When Johnny was interviewed on CBS’ “60 minutes,” By the uber-left liberal Mike Wallace, the topic of using “The Tonight Show” for political commentary was brought up. Here’s how that went…

Seth Meyers, Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel, if they want to be a financial asset to their companies should learn from the master.

It’s too late for Colbert, because HIS bottom line is THE bottom line.
