Obama Resorts to Pure Propaganda

By Craig Andresen

Did anyone really think, or believe, even for a moment, that President Obama, given his socialist agenda and ideologies, would not scrape the bottom of the barrel by resorting to propaganda? Of course he would. He is, and he’s using the age old standby to do it. Obama is complicit in the making of a film about the killing of bin Laden.

Not that Hollywood wouldn’t have put it together anyway – but it’s how this is being done which is beyond disturbing.

The makers of last year’s The Hurt Locker, apparently have for, as they claim, several years, been filming a “documentary” about the Afghan war. According to those involved, it was nearly complete when, all of a sudden, bin Laden was killed and behold … a new ending for the film must be shot and edited into the finished product.

Ok … so far … I can buy it but this is where things get … hinky.

According to Congressman Peter King, the pentagon may have been funneling classified material to the film makers to aid in their project. King is demanding a congressional investigation stating:

“The Administration’s first duty in declassifying material is to provide full reporting to Congress and the American people, in an effort to build public trust through transparency of government.  In contrast, this alleged collaboration belies a desire of transparency in favor of a cinematographic view of history.”

A Reckoning, Not In but FROM Wisconsin

The vote in Wisconsin yesterday which placed 6 republicans up for recall by a liberal base infuriated over the successful legislation put forth in April limiting collective bargaining by unions was NOT a shot over the bow, not a referendum and not a precursor. It was a reckoning.

4 of the 6 republican senators held their seats in Wisconsin. Of those who lost, Dan Kapanke won his seat in a heavily democratic district by a very narrow margin last November and was in the greatest danger of losing this recall and Randy Hopper faced the ire of democrats for his support of the April legislation as well as from republicans who have been rightfully rankled over his tribulations regarding an affair with a young staffer outside his marriage.

This recall vote and the GOP success in it should send a clear message to liberals for several reasons.

The Obama Plan Finally Revealed

The Obama plan for the economy is now clear. It’s a 3 part plan.

1)      Retreat

2)      Lecture

3)      Campaign

That’s it…lock stock and barrel. It’s as easy as 1,2,3…A,B,C…

On Friday, S&P dropped the United States from the AAA rating we’ve held since 1917. We held AAA through the 1ts World War…through the Great Depression…through the 2nd World War…through the malaise of Jimmy Carter. The United States has been able to withstand everything thrown at her…everything until…Obama.

CREDIT DOWNGRADE…The Ripple Effect & Who’s at Fault

By Craig Andresen

On Friday, August 5th 2011, for the first time in history, the United States credit rating was downgraded. This unprecedented event will have political ripples as well as consumer ripples. This IS a serious event and the current administration KNOWS it despite their actions.

Before we get to the dodge and weave being suggested by many pundits, in regard to how Obama should react to this news, we should look at what this means to the average American consumer.

If you have a mortgage, a car loan, or you’re thinking of such in the near future, expect to pay a higher interest rate. Those who have a locked in mortgage are safe in that regard but those with variable rate mortgages, will find their interest rates going up.

Winners, Losers and the Lack of Leadership

By Craig Andresen 7-31-11

In a week and a weekend when the war of words in Washington DC rose to extreme caliber as deadlines approached and rhetoric led the day, there were indeed winners and losers.

While the American people are still looking for leadership from the hallowed halls and the White House few if any feel like winners. Congress continues to conduct their business regardless of the prevailing wishes of We The People. In recent polls, 66% of the people have indicated THEY want or demand a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

Deal vs Solution…The Great Debt Debate

Over the last several months we have seen continued battles over the debt. There have been possible government shutdowns, bailouts, proposed bailouts, calls for cutting spending, calls for higher taxes, a gang of 6, those who believe we have a revenue problem, those who believe we have a spending problem and a President who believes the best way OUT of the hole is to make the hole even DEEPER.

Obama wants to scare everyone into capitulation with liberal tax and spend ideologies and stonewalling while those who set our nation’s credit ratings seem set to sweep away our liberty in a tsunami of default.

Hero? I Think Not.

By Jennifer Stephens on May 13, 2011

A toy company, HeroBuilders, has created an Obama action figure with him dressed as a Navy SEAL from SEAL Team 6, our heroes who took care of bin Laden. What an insult to our SEALs. (And as a Marine I have to say, insulting the SEALs is a seriously bad idea. Hazardous-to-the-health bad idea…) Obama has never served, and certainly not as an elite SEAL. He has never endured the training they go through. He has never made the sacrifices they make.

They are heroes, he is not.

The Wrong Side of the Right Thing

By Craig Andresen on May 5, 2011

After the 2008 election and in fact before it, one by one by one, liberals both in and out of government stepped up and decried that enhanced interrogation techniques were wrong, would not lead to useful information and should never be employed.

Obama, Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and on and on all made such statements and made them emphatically. They all called for the shuttering of Gitmo…PROMISED it in fact.

“Democracy” and the Dismantling of Our Republic

By John Brewer on April 27, 2011

“This democracy we have is a precious thing…” — Barack Obama.

I suppose I’d be hard-pressed to find a soul among us who hasn’t committed a substantial amount of our adult life watching the news, reading magazines, blog articles, newspapers, listening to talk-radio or chatting with sea-bound grobians among the citizenry. And, I suppose I’d come up empty-handed looking for a soul among us who hasn’t heard or read the word“democracy” kicked around more frequently than a hacky sack at a marathon Grateful Dead-Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young-Phish-Mamas and Papas-Doobie Brothers-The Birds-Simon and Garfunkel-Jefferson Airplane reunion tour. I suppose that, at the tender drinking age of double-decade-uno, had I decided to create a drinking game contingent on the usage of “democracy” among politicians and analysts and generally-untutored droids, I wouldn’t have the capacity to write this right now, as my body would be 10 years dissolved into the dirt and photos of my liver would be circulating among medical journals worldwide. How did he die? If Joe Biden were to answer, he’d say it all came down to a three-syllable word: Democracy.
