Trump Endorses Romney…Who Benefits?

BREAKING NEWS!!!

Today, in Las Vegas, Donald Trump WILL endorse Mitt Romney. Even through early morning, it was thought the endorsement would go to Gingrich but, it has now been confirmed…it’s Romney.

How much weight does a Trump endorsement carry?

Maybe not as much as one would think.

While Trump draws a crowd wherever he goes and hitting the campaign trail for Mitt would be a draw, outside that, little if any effect is likely to be seen.

Yes, Trump adds bankroll but there is another effect that may work against Romney regarding the Trump endorsement.

Adding Donald Trump to the list of Romney endorsements is simply adding yet another moderate.

Bob Dole, John McCain, Jon Huntsman, Chris Christie…all endorsing Mitt Romney, none looked at by core conservatives and solid conservatives.

Trump in fact, recently changed his voter registration from Republican to undeclared and has for months, even after bailing out of the race, hinted at a possible independent run for the White House.

Doesn’t sound much like a dyed-in-the-wool conservative, does it?

One thing made clear by the upcoming endorsement today is that Trump will not be making that independent run after all.

Rocking the Boat or the Voice of Realism?

Here’s the deal. Straight forward and in plain talk. I have never been accused of being politically correct and that’s not likely to change today.

What I’m about to say will probably set a few darn good conservatives ablaze but…So be it.

It will also send the Ronulans into orbit.

As we close in on the Iowa Caucus and other important early state primaries, I am seeing and hearing more and more of the “Only MY candidate can…” and My candidate is the ONLY one who will…”

Crap.

ANY of the GOP candidates CAN and WILL do this and that. Some may do one thing better or faster than another and another may do something else faster and better but ALL of them have the ABILITY to do…whatever.

And the Cain Endorsement Goes TO…

As Herman Cain “suspended” his campaign on Saturday, he promised that soon, he would endorse a candidate and in my article, “CAIN SUSPENDS CAMPAIGN,” I suggested he make that endorsement as soon as possible.

Now, we learn that Mr. Cain will, TODAY, make his endorsement.

It WILL be Newt Gingrich.

This will no doubt please some and anger others, but Newt will receive the Cain Endorsement later this morning.

Here’s the conundrum for some Cain supporters.

Cain has been called the “Ultimate Outsider” and many of his most ardent supporters have clung to him because of his Tea Party stance. Now, Mr. Cain will endorse the man many feel is the “Ultimate Insider” Newt Gingrich.

While polls over the last week have shown that should Cain bow out of the race, most of his support would go to Gingrich with some falling to Romney or Paul, and I speculated that Gingrich would receive the Cain endorsement, it is yet to be seen just how MUCH of Cain’s support will fall to Newt in reality.

2012…Win It or Lose It…It’s Up To Conservatives

Ron Paul followers believe that ONLY Ron Paul can save the country. They are wrong. Sarah Palin’s supporters believe that only Sarah Palin can save this country. They are wrong. The same can be said of almost all of the supporters of the individuals in the GOP field, and they are wrong.

The sooner conservatives come to this realization, the sooner we can start saving this nation; but in order to reach this realization, conservatives must come to grips with a few things.

1)     NO One Candidate Can Save This Nation.

It’s a simple premise – which will probably have some conservatives up in arms – but it’s true. No ONE single candidate can do it because no ONE single candidate is capable of doing it alone no matter who it is and no matter how hard that candidate’s followers or supporters are clinging to them.

Don’t Count Out THE Donald!

Many of us have been throwing around ideas that would include adding Donald Trump to the race. You have to admit, even if you are not a fan, the man is entertaining and has swagger!

So what are we to do??  Should we convince Trump to go for the Democratic nomination? Think about it for just a moment…

Could the Obama machine stand up to the challenges of Trump? I would love to see the debate between them as Trump corners Obama and demands specific answers and rebuts the threadbare Obama mantra…

On Increasing Employment:

O:  I will add more jobs and fix the economy.

T:  What do you know about providing jobs? You have never had one. In fact, you wouldn’t get an interview with me because of your failure to produce records, college transcripts, job references, and your total lack of skills. I, on the other hand, have hired many workers throughout my life.

Narrowing the Field

To call the race to the republican nomination in 2012 a process would be nothing short of a gross understatement. The road to that destination is long, bumpy, full of twists and turns and full of speed traps.

Warning signs are also a key feature along this road and by all means, those signs should be heeded. The best course of action is…go slow…in order to avoid the hazards.

Independent Impact

Donald Trump has made a lot of noise over the last couple of weeks regarding the birth certificate issue which has propelled him to the top of many polls of possible GOP contenders. As I have said before, Trump is unelectable as his background, numerous bankruptcy filings, marriages and business dealings would preclude him as a serious candidate.

There is also his history of donations to democrat candidates in the past including his donation to Rahm Emanuel’s mayoral bid in Chicago. Add to that, Trump’s past advocacy of Obama and frankly, no matter WHAT he brings to show and tell in his investigation of Obama’s past, at best, Trump is a RINO and the conservatives will have little to do with him in the long run.

Can Barak Trump Donald?

From the time of his election, and yes, in fact, since his nomination, there have been questions regarding Barak Obama’s citizenship. The constitution is clear, “No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.”

 

If one thing is clear regarding Obama and the liberal/socialist machine which protects him it is that they have established a pattern with their tactics. To see this tactic, one needs to step back and look at individual issues.
