Camouflage and Christmas Lights

Every year, it seems, somebody asks me what I want for Christmas.

Over the years, the list has changed.

As a boy, my list included toys, maybe a new bike or a sled and maybe, just maybe, a puppy.

Such a list, I believe, is still the norm for kids today.

As I grew older, the list included more, substantial items.

A calculator, a new stereo, hiking boots and maybe, just maybe, a puppy.

By the time I was in college, my Christmas list had evolved to include a new camera lens, something for my first car…a 1977 Chevy Chevette,  money for spring break and maybe, just maybe…

Friday Fume – The 100th Anniversary Edition

Today is a National Patriot milestone of sorts.

Friends and Patriots…THIS is our 100th Friday FUME!!!!

While I would love to take time to celebrate this monumentally minute feat, there’s just too much to be done and if we don’t find a way to laugh just a little…We’ll all go NUTS!!

Lois Lerner, on administrative leave is STILL logging into her EMAILS at the IRS…I’ll bet she can’t erase the evidence faster than the NSA can grab it.

The NSA has been collecting data on EVERYBODY and all they really needed to do to find out what CONSERVATIVES are thinking…IS ASK US…WE’LL BE HAPPY TO TELL EM TO GO TO HELL!!!

Morally bankrupt Bill Maher insulted and mocked TRIG PALIN!!! Just goes to prove that special needs kids are at least 100 flights above the ilk of socialists. Weekend Edition: 2nd Amendment Crusade (Pt 2)

Neither Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Feinstein nor any of the rest of the socialist ilk in Washington give a damn about your safety or the safety of your children.

In yesterday’s Weekend Edition, we pointed out what we’re up against as Patriots when it comes to the assault on the 2nd Amendment.

That assault didn’t start yesterday or 4 years ago.

It began with the introduction of socialism into the highest levels of our government and Woodrow Wilson. Over the decades, socialism has progressed, grown and now, it is not just knocking at the door, it’s trying to kick the door down.

I believe, at the heart of it all, IS the assault on the 2nd Amendment.

Why the 2nd?

Of the 27 Amendments to our Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the 2nd is the growling, snarling dog patrolling the perimeter fence.

Socialists want to pull the dog’s teeth thus, infringing on your God Given right to protect your liberty.

Of all the Amendments spelled out in the Bill of Rights, the 2nd is the ONLY one to include the words, “SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.”

Our founders and framers well knew the danger to the republic should the amendment which protects all others, be infringed.

The poorest states in America are all run by liberals.

The poorest cities are all run by liberals.

Every high crime city in America is under the control of liberals.

Think about that.

Weekend Edition: 2nd Amendment Crusade (Pt. 1)

Just a couple of days ago, Melody Valentin…A n elementary school student, found in her pocket a folded and torn piece of paper…A square with the bottom quarter torn away.

She threw it in the trash and another young student, obviously a victim of indoctrination, programmed to be scared to death and to inform on offenders, then notified the government, in this case, a teacher, the nearest figure of authority.

“He yelled at me and said I shouldn’t have brought the gun to school and I kept telling him it was a paper gun but he wouldn’t listen.”

The teacher yelled at Melody, telling her that the cops should be called and that she should be arrested.

He searched her in front of her classmates.

Melody’s classmates started calling her a murderer.

Little Melody Valentin was suspended and the incident will now be a part of her permanent record thus reinforcing to her classmates that even possessing a folded and torn piece of paper which may or may not simply LOOK like a gun is something for which they will be punished and possibly arrested.

Where did this indoctrination of today’s youth and affront to common sense take place?

Why…In the very birthplace of freedom…Philadelphia…of course.

This was NOT last week’s ONLY such event.

Last week, a 5 year old girl from Mouth Carmel, PA  was interrogated for more than three hours, forced into psychological testing and then suspended by school officials.

Why?

A Patriot’s First Thanksgiving

As We prepare for Thanksgiving, the travel, family, friends and a feast, too many individual traditions are there to mention. Some may volunteer to serve those who through circumstances are homeless while others may take time to visit retirement communities.

Some will remember our troops in various ways and I hope we all take a moment to thank them for all they do to maintain our freedoms.

There will be laughter, prayers, football, food and stories told tomorrow.

Some will, no doubt, speak of the first Thanksgiving, the Pilgrims, the Indians, their hardships and how they came together.

I would, this year, like to take you back to a Thanksgiving long ago which most never think of on this holiday.

Before Thanksgiving WAS an official holiday it was still celebrated. Perhaps now as we celebrate it today but, indeed it did hold meaning.

The Thanksgiving of which I hope you will remember is that of 1776.

A newly declared independent nation was at war.

Thanksgiving was no longer thought of as a Puritan or holiday of religion although the thanking of God was a certain factor. In 1776, it was a holiday for Patriots.

Traveling to the home of relatives was generally not done unless of course, those relatives lived in your community. Distance was one thing and naturally, by carriage or horseback, such travel would have been quite time consuming.

Weekend Edition: I WILL STAND UP!!!!

Our Declaration of Independence, one of the greatest documents ever written, ends with these words:

“And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.”

Those words, which should ring in the ears of every American are followed by 56 signatures.

Each man who affixed his name on that Declaration believed in those words and each did indeed pledge to each other their Lives, their Fortunes and their sacred Honor.

Do you think THEY…”Stood Down?”

Emphatically…They did NOT!

Did the Patriots who fought and died for the idea behind that document…”Stand Down?”

NO THEY DID NOT.

In the ice and snow of Valley Forge…Did Washington…”Stand Down?”

No.

In the years after the war of revolution, when called upon to pen the Constitution, did James Madison “Stand Down?”

No. No he did not.

In the War of 1812, when things looked darkest and the British was sacking the White House…Who “Stood Down?”

No one. In fact, Dolley Madison took the portrait of Washington from the wall and saved it…for the NEW White House.

In the quest to put an end to slavery, did Lincoln “Stand Down?”

The burden of the war between the states was great but, no…NO HE DID NOT “stand Down.”

Our country is FULL of people who never “Stood Down” and it always has been. From those who, with an idea and firm resolve gave birth to this great nation, fought for it, died for it and settled it to those who built it, powered it, explored it and added to it.

Did those who came here from lands far away, who felt free upon seeing Lady Liberty and who learned the language and our culture to make a better life for themselves, their children and their children’s children “Stand Down?”

Certainly not.

His advisers told him not to say it, they told him not to use the line in his speech. It was too forceful they told him…It would be upsetting.
