1775 or 2012 – Separated by Centuries Not by Issues

236 years ago, yesterday, a nation rose from tyranny and oppression. A people, with unalienable rights endowed by the Creator, had had enough of Imperial rule and said so boldly, courageously and with the knowledge that they had a choice.

Patrick Henry understood that choice.

In a speech before the Virginia House of Burgesses, on March 23, 1775, Henry swung the vote convincing his Colony to send troops to the Revolutionary War when he proclaimed, “What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death!”

12 years earlier, Patrick Henry, a bar keeper turned attorney had argued in a case that the King was but “a tyrant who forfeits the allegiance of his subjects.”

In 1765, a law student and guest in the House of Burgesses, Thomas Jefferson, listened while, regarding the Stamp Act, Henry offered resolutions to nullify them. Henry, at that time, was met with fierce opposition and his resolutions were termed as treasonous to the King. What Patrick Henry said in response, lit the fire in Jefferson that would lead him to be elected to the House of Burgesses 6 years later.

Obama’s Strategy Exposed

As we head into the back straight of the 2012 election, speeding toward November 6th, expecting the dirtiest campaign in history, one thing is clear.

Obama only needs about 2 dozen more.

2 dozen more…what…exactly?

Distractions.

About 1 per week should do it. 24 weeks…24 distractions.

This week’s distraction is, of course, gay marriage. He’s for it again. Oh yes, Obama was against it then he was  for it before he was against it  again and then he was evolving and now…he’s for it…again.

In this week’s distraction, he rolled out a new pre-distraction distraction. Joe Biden who went on the Sunday shows and let it slip that he had no problem with gay marriage. OH THE HUMANITY of yet another Biden gaff. This was no gaff. This was a planned distraction to pave the way FOR the distraction.

It’s Time for the Tea Party Movement to End

There’s an incendiary headline for you.

The time for the Tea Party movement to die is now. Right now. It has served its purpose and now it’s time to kill it off, say goodbye and bury the movement forever.

Bury the MOVEMENT…Not the idea or the ideals but the MOVEMENT.

The Tea Party MOVEMENT is dead…LONG LIVE THE TEA PARTY!!!

That’s right…it’s now time to turn the movement into a full fledged PARTY before the next presidential election. Such things cannot happen overnight and time must be taken to do it the right way but do it we must.

If you are as tired as I am of being held hostage by the Republican Party establishment, WE have to make it clear to THEM that we’re just not gonna take it any more.

The Republican Party, the party of conservatism, REAGAN’S party has become the just barely right of center but leaning toward the center party and because of what we have been through for DECADES, that’s no longer good enough.

The Inaugural Address That Must be Delivered

As it appears Romney IS now the inevitable GOP nominee, I believe THIS is the address we MUST hear on day 1.

Thank you and good afternoon.

My name is Mitt Romney and I am the President of the United States of America.

There are some things we need to get straight and the sooner the better.

Let me start…Now.

This great nation is a mess. Our economy, our government, employment, our debt. It’s all a mess.

This is something which needs to be made crystal clear. I did not inherit this mess. I have chosen to correct it. The time for blame is over and the mess is what it is regardless of how or who created it. I ran for President and was elected to this office to correct the problems not to blame others for them.

It’s a tremendous undertaking. It will not be fast. It will not be easy.

But rest assured, we will begin today to take the appropriate steps to make things right again.

The first and most important step we can take in this regard is to start getting government out of the way. Our future will be built exactly the way our great past was built: On the ingenuity of, on the creativity of and with the hard work of the private sector. If government stands in the way of what made our nation great, we can never reclaim our greatness.

Senator’s Aid Goes After Blogger Stacy Swimp?

We All know that liberals running for office in 2012 will do anything to advance their cause. They’re desperate and attacking their opponents with anything, is going to be par for the course.

A week or so ago, an ad by Senatorial Candidate Pete Hoekstra was deemed “Racist” by liberals because it featured an Asian actress, speaking in somewhat broken English, regarding our national debt and Stabenow’s reckless spending.

Naturally, liberals called it “racist” as they had no way of combating the ad with facts, merit or by pointing out any Obama policy which could prove it false.

To that end, conservative blogger and activist, Stacy M. Swimp, penned an article calling out liberals for once again, playing the race card where it doesn’t apply. He was right to do so.

Apparently, Swimp hit a nerve.

Trump Endorses Romney…Who Benefits?

BREAKING NEWS!!!

Today, in Las Vegas, Donald Trump WILL endorse Mitt Romney. Even through early morning, it was thought the endorsement would go to Gingrich but, it has now been confirmed…it’s Romney.

How much weight does a Trump endorsement carry?

Maybe not as much as one would think.

While Trump draws a crowd wherever he goes and hitting the campaign trail for Mitt would be a draw, outside that, little if any effect is likely to be seen.

Yes, Trump adds bankroll but there is another effect that may work against Romney regarding the Trump endorsement.

Adding Donald Trump to the list of Romney endorsements is simply adding yet another moderate.

Bob Dole, John McCain, Jon Huntsman, Chris Christie…all endorsing Mitt Romney, none looked at by core conservatives and solid conservatives.

Trump in fact, recently changed his voter registration from Republican to undeclared and has for months, even after bailing out of the race, hinted at a possible independent run for the White House.

Doesn’t sound much like a dyed-in-the-wool conservative, does it?

One thing made clear by the upcoming endorsement today is that Trump will not be making that independent run after all.

Can we give it a rest? Can we just give it a rest?

I’m talking about the nonsense put forth by so many reports that Obama has now kicked off his 2012 campaign. Every day, after an Obama speech, someone claims that Obama has kicked off his campaign.

Bull.

Obama kicked off his 2012 campaign the day he took office back in 2009 so can we please give the “He just kicked off his campaign” stuff a rest?

That’s one of the biggest problems with this administration…That they have never, for a single minute, been OUT of campaign mode. Rather than seeing to the business of the country, rather than seeing to the business of the people, Obama has spent his entire term engaged in the business of Obama.

What the Iowa Results REALLY Mean

Imagine how different the next few debates are going to look to Rick Santorum. He’s going to be at or near center stage and he’ll actually be asked questions.

On the other hand, imagine how much the same the next few debates are going to look to Jon Huntsman who just found out that when voters in Iowa aren’t picking corn, they’re arranging the podium order for the next few debates!

The OTHER Rick…Perry…will have the best seat in the house for the next few debates…The best seat in his OWN house as he heads back to Texas to reassess his campaign. Nobody goes home to “reassess” and then comes back to be a player in the race.

Want to know why?

Because those who donate money are now reassessing THEIR strategy and right now, they’re looking toward investing in center stage Rick over living room Rick.

Ron Paul’s Connection to Doom

Much of what we have seen regarding various GOP candidates and what I refer to as smelly shoes in their closets, is old news. It’s stuff that happened a decade or two ago. Sometimes longer ago than that.

This isn’t old news.

This is FRESH stink and it’s a stink Ron Paul and his Ronulan Paulbot lemmings are going to have a tough time explaining away.

On July 6th, 2010, Ron Paul co-wrote an article with Barney Frank for the Huffington Post regarding the slashing of a trillion dollars from national defense spending. At a time when our national defense is being weakened by a president who supports our enemies and turns his back on our allies, Ron Paul joins forces with Barney Frank to slash defense spending?

Yep but that’s just the tip of the proverbial iceberg.

Together, FrankenPaul, issued the “Sustainable Defense Task Force.”

This “Think tank” of progressive liberal non thinkers was “Tasked” with rendering our defense capabilities null and void for the most part but disguised as a “cost cutting” fiscal task force.

Disguising his true intentions is a Ron Paul trademark.

This is Why Iowa Matters

Tomorrow, voters in Iowa will caucus. It’s not a primary as we have come to define primaries but still, it is something of a popularity contest.

The main difference between the caucus and a primary, is that no delegates are won.

So…why bother?

Because those who place well, or win the Iowa caucus head into early primary states…New Hampshire, South Carolina, Florida and the like, with more momentum.

If there is one thing we can expect from the 2012 Iowa caucus, it would be to expect very little to change moving forward.

We should expect the race to remain contentious. We should expect the race to remain divided. We should expect the race to remain populated and we should expect the race to remain a roller coaster sort of affair.

The key word in all we should expect is…
