Happy Thanksgiving

Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor; and Whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me to “recommend to the people of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness:”

Now, therefore, I do recommend and assign Thursday, the 26th day of November next, to be devoted by the people of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being who is the beneficent author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be; that we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks for His kind care and protection of the people of this country previous to their becoming a nation; for the signal and manifold mercies and the favorable interpositions of His providence in the course and conclusion of the late war; for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty which we have since enjoyed; for the peaceable and rational manner in which we have been enable to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national one now lately instituted for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed, and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and, in general, for all the great and various favors which He has been pleased to confer upon us.

And also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions; to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually; to render our National Government a blessing to all the people by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed; to protect and guide all sovereigns and nations (especially such as have shown kindness to us), and to bless them with good governments, peace, and concord; to promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and us; and, generally to grant unto all mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as He alone knows to be best.

This was the first, the very first Thanksgiving proclamation of Thanksgiving issued by a United States President and the words are unlike any one might expect to hear from an elected official today.

Cell phones for “free,” well not really !

Currently there are mailings going to people from Assurance Wireless. Headline from this mailing offers a free cell phone to the addressee at no cost to the addressee. The cost is covered by the Universal Service Fund, FCC. Well actually by the citizens who own cell phones, use cable, or even the internet. Imagine that! You work and pay for your cell phone, or your cable and internet, all the while you are supporting someone else, so they can have a cell phone.

Take a close look at your cable bill and your phone bill. I am being billed over 2 dollars a month for this Universal Service Fund. That adds up to a lot of money when you consider how many citizens have cable and cell phone or even house phone. So the FCC receives this money monthly. Who is in charge of the money? Where is it spent? Since the FCC receives this money, why then must they also receive tax dollars from the budget? Questions I intend to look into.

Regulation costs are passed onto the consumer!

Ah but it is finally Friday – and as we all know, on Friday, I get to let off a good deal of steam. This Friday is no different and you can bet, if liberals are out there…

I’m fuming.

Over at the liberal asylum, perhaps better known as the United Nations, it’s been a banner week. The white coat and blue beret crowd has finally let it slip that the vast majority of their CLIMATE CHANGE or GLOBAL WARMING or STUCK ON STUPID…whatever they’re calling it this week… reports HAVE BEEN WRITTEN BY GRAD STUDENTS!!!

Ummm…These aren’t your high level genius in the making grad students…THESE ARE GARDEN VARIETY GRADUATE STUDENTS WITH LITTLE OR NO EXPERIENCE IN THEIR FIELD OF STUDY!!!

Oh yeah, we’ve all been led to believe that the “CLIMATE BIBLE”…THAT PIECE OF JUNK SCIENCE WHICH IS CALLED “THE PANEL OF CLIMATE CHANGE REPORT”…RESPONSIBLE FOR THE WORLD AGENDA AND TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN WASTED SPENDING…Is not written by some PHD or weather guru of great renown, NOT penned by the greatest mind in global rectal temperature taking…not authored by GOD on stone tablets… Continue reading →

A Call to Action

A DECLARATION TO RESTORE THE CONSTITUTIONAL

REPUBLIC NATIONAL CALL FOR UNITED ACTION

A call to action has been issued! Will or can you attend?

Patriots Union.org and Veteran Defenders.org have issued  the call to action.

“When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.”

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.” – from the U.S. Declaration of Independence

An undisclosed number of American Veterans and former service members have come together to prepare and present this Call-to-Action on behalf of the U.S. Constitution, the Republic, the Rule of Law and equal justice for all freedom loving citizens of the United States of America. Acting together as one, via The Veteran Defenders of America, co-sponsored by civilian patriot group The Unites States Patriots Union, LLC – we issue the following CALL.

  1. We CALL upon every member of federal, state and local government, legislative, judicial, law enforcement and military, who have taken an oath to protect and defend the Constitutional Republic from all enemies, foreign and domestic, to act upon those oaths for the stated purpose of restoring the Constitutional Republic.
  2. We CALL upon ALL veterans and veteran organizations in America, who still believe in their oath to protect and defend, to unite with us at once – in this Declaration to Restore the Constitutional Republic.
  3. We CALL for ALL citizens who still desire freedom and liberty, to stand with us in peaceful protest, and carry our demands to right the wrongs against our nation in the preservation of freedom, liberty, justice and the rule of law.

A Silent Witness

Since that day, in 1886, the world has changed and through it all, one has born witness to it all. Standing as a silent guardian, a light in the darkness, never blinking, never wavering. One has been there from that day to this.

Since that day, in 1886, 12 new states have been added to our nation.

23 Presidents have held office…2 of them died too soon.

Americans have gone from the surrender of Geronimo to WWII heroes speaking a language few could understand.

Since that day in 1886, it would be 2 more years before Kodak produced its first consumer camera, 17 years before the Wright Brothers took to the air and 22 years before the invention of the electric toaster.

Since then, we have flown, gone to the moon, sent mechanical ambassadors to Mars and our dev8ices have left our solar system.

Through 2 world wars, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and more, a witness to our soldiers leaving, returning and mourning those who either never made it back or came home as the ultimate heroes, has been right there.

Our Patriot Readers ROCK!!!

Well, here we are. The National Patriot has completed our first quarter as a site and we want to bring you up to date with where we’ve been and what has happened in the last month.

One month ago today, I told you we were at a loss for words and we offered to you, our thanks.

Today, we are completely humbled.

Gaddafi’s Final Moments – GRAPHIC

About 9 hours ago, Gaddafi met his end at the hands of Libyan rebels in Sirte. While there is some question as to exactly how it all went down, one thing is clear…His own final demise was brutal.

Kaddafi…Qaddafi…Gaddafi…DEAD!!!

No matter how you spell it Kaddafi…Qaddafi…Gaddafi…is reportedly D-E-A-D this morning.

According to reports from Reuters, the former Libyan thug, the Madman of the Middle East, who have vowed to go down fighting has fulfilled that promise.

The reports claim Gaddafi was trapped near his hometown of Sirte, shot in the legs, both of them, captured and died of his wounds at the hands of Libyan rebels.

The former dictator, the longest ruling ever in Africa, has been on the run for months and now, though unconfirmed by U.S. officials, has met his end. A State Department official has confirmed to Fox News that Gadaffi had indeed been captured but gave no more details than that.

Apparently, according to some reports, he was found hiding in a bunker near Sirte when rebels discovered him.

Who exactly the rebels are and what will happen next, if indeed these reports are true, remains a question.

Hillary Clinton had just paid a visit to Libya and their transitional government committee but the door is now wide open. We know many, thousands if not tens of thousands of weapons have gone missing in Libya over the last few months and those weapons include shoulder fired surface to air missiles and the Muslim Brotherhood IS in the area.

Liberal pundits are already, just minutes after this announcement, giving credit to the Obama policy of leading from behind in this…”Kinetic Action” as they try to make the case, now based on the actions of unknown rebels, that Obama’s policy has been vindicated.

Now, both Reuters and Libyan TV are reporting Gaddafi has been killed.

As long as Qaddafi was at liberty, the interim government was prevented from establishing its legitimacy and a stable administration. His capture completes the rebel victory. The interim regime must decide whether to try the deposed ruler before a local court or hand him over to the international court.

For the rebel forces, Qaddafi’s capture or death would be a major psychological and political triumph. However, Libya remains bitterly polarized between pro- and anti-Qaddafi factions with scores of rival militias and hundreds of tribes at each other’s throats. Qaddafi’s demise rather than promoting unity and ending the conflict could trigger wider civil bloodshed.

More reports, though unconfirmed, are now stating Gaddafi had either been shot in the head or possibly killed in a NATO strike but more sources are now stating that Gaddafi, one way or another, is indeed dead!

KEYNESIAN V AUSTRIAN

Our current economic malaise was forecast and has been explained by only one “school” of economic theory: the Austrian.

One other “mainstream” school–the Keynesian Model–continues to fumble around with empirical data in a quest to venture conjecture constantly refuted by that pesky little thing called “history.” The Keynesians, each to each, may vary in their opinions on government size and the amount of monetary inflation; however, they are lock-stepping, hand-in-hand, on a quest for that ever elusive mathematical model. It’s a thought experiment confined in a hermetically-sealed “statist” box. They’ve abandoned their logic for faith in bizarre assumptions.

Austrian Economic Theory was founded on an understanding that the human ability to act combined with the natural desire to survive leads to a purposeful action. Humans act with purpose! Meddling in the affairs of folks acting towards a purpose only gums-up the purpose and the very folks trying to act on it. Interlopers butting in between other people who have agreed to cooperate for their mutual benefit are obstructionists at best and deal killers at worse. There may be compromises as individuals adapt to the force of those interventions allowing for diminished satisfaction, but the end results are inevitably spoiled. The Keynesian Cultists see humans as guinea pigs to be experimented on.
