ANSWER THE QUESTION…YES OR NO!!!

During a presidential election year, there is one pressing question which must be answered. Especially if you are the incumbent.

Reagan was the first to pose the question and, in the closing months of the 1980 election, the answer propelled him to the white house over Jimmy Carter.

Today, that same question is being asked and the answers from the incumbent’s party are…

Astonishing.

Are you better off than you were 4 years ago?

It’s a simple question.

It’s a question which requires a one word answer.

Are you better off then you were 4 years ago?

Yes or…No?

Well, at least it seems like a straight forward question.

Early this morning, in an interview, Gretchen Carlson posed that question to Minneapolis Mayor Archie Ryback.

Rybacks response was stunningly confusing.

A Clarion Call to True Patriots

My friends and Fellow Patriots,

It is now official.

We have a Nominee for President and Vice President.

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan were officially placed in nomination at the Republican National Convention yesterday in Tampa Florida.

No more conjecture. No more grasping at straws or hanging by threads hoping that somehow, someone else would be nominated.

We, as conservatives, have one chance. One chance to start the process of restoration. We have One chance to start the process of rebuilding this nation. We have one chance to begin again.

One chance.

While we applaud those who, over the long and sometimes contentious primary season and through the weeks leading to yesterday’s roll call vote in Tampa, who steadfastly supported various candidates in their efforts, those campaigns did not bear fruit.

For my part, as an early endorser of Newt Gingrich, and as one who, before that, had held out hope of an Allen West candidacy, I put aside my own adherence to a single candidate for the greater needs of this nation.

As a Patriot, a Tea Party Patriot, a student of history and a Reagan Conservative, I know that no single president or single election will finish what must be done to restore this nation to its rightful place as a world leader and economic power.

This election, on November 6th, 2012 is no exception.

The Weekend Edition: Tea Party Roots and the Convention

This weekend, we stand on the doorstep of the 2012 Republican Convention.

That convention will begin on Monday, come rain or shine…Hurricane or not In Tampa and just like the expected weather, the event itself will be somewhat stormy.

Not every Republican is happy with the event because not every Republican is happy that Mitt Romney will officially become the GOP Nominee.

Various factions of the Tea Party are holding out hope that their choice, somehow, will become the nominee.

Such is the nature of the Tea Party with which I am proud to identify.

In those early months of the Tea Party, liberals tried, in vein, to label us as everything from racists to angry mobs, to ready for the padded rooms at Bellevue.

But, do you remember the first label? The very first one so falsely attributed to the Tea Party?

Astroturf.

It was April 15th, 2009. TAX DAY. That’s when Nancy Pelosi stepped to a microphone and stated, “This [tea party] initiative is funded by the high end — we call call it astroturf, it’s not really a grassroots movement. It’s astroturf by some of the wealthiest people in America to keep the focus on tax cuts for the rich instead of for the great middle class. “

Astroturf.  NOT a real grassroots movement.

Some of the wealthiest people in America trying to keep the focus on tax cuts for the rich.

The Battle Hymn of the 2012 Election

Over the weekend, I was struck by the words of Paul Ryan at a rally in Manassas Virginia.

It was how he opened his comments.

What he said has been the clarion call of conservatives since the 2010 midterm election.

As the music played at each rally announcing Paul Ryan as Mitt Romney’s running mate, I could help but think…

We need an anthem. No…We need a battle song.

What we DON:T need is a rehashed song bent and twisted to meet the need. Any old song will do if that’s the criteria.

No.

What we need is a  song, written by someone who feels the way WE do. A song which expresses OUR clarion call.

We need a song which speaks directly to US, of who WE are and to what WE must do.

It needs to be a song OF the People, BY the People and FOR the people.

That’s why, when I heard Paul Ryan’s opening words in Manassas on Saturday…I knew EXACTLY what our song should be.

EXACTLY!!!

If you are not yet familiar with Ava Aston…You should be.

A while back, I found the song that she wrote and it shook me to the core.

DID OBAMA ADMIT HIS SOCIALIST VISION?

On Saturday, throughout the announcement that Paul Ryan is Mitt Romney’s Vice Presidential running mate, both men spoke about  their VISION  for America.

It must be noted that a VISION is far different than a POLICY.

Politically speaking, POLICY is how one intends to achieve the VISION. If 2 different people share the same VISION but believe in different POLICIES to achieve that vision, a healthy debate can take place as to the best way to get there.

However…

If they have diametrically opposed VISIONS, then there exists an ideological rift.

This is VERY important.

Okay. On Saturday, both Romney and Ryan expressed their VISIONS.

First, Mitt Romney stepped to the microphone and said of Paul Ryan:

“His leadership begins with character and values.”

Romney went on to state:

Obama to Biden: “Oh…Cabin Boy…”

America now has a choice.

Romney/Ryan or Obama/Biden.

The former stands for everything the latter doesn’t and liberal/socialists know it.

Yesterday, I predicted the liberal/socialist response and it wasn’t hard to see coming. Liberals are scared and they’re trying to do everything they can to fake glee over the announcement that Paul Ryan is the VP choice.

It became very obvious very quickly that the pre-approved liberal talking points went out in a hurry and equally clear that liberal pundits had been sweating it out waiting on those emails.

One by one, each repeated the exact same line. Word for word.

“The Paul Ryan plan will end Medicare as we know it.”

Interview after interview, pundit after pundit, the liberal/socialist line was repeated over and over again.

“The Paul Ryan plan will end Medicare as we know it.”

You’re darn right it will and what liberal/socialists don’t want you to know is exactly what Paul Ryan DOES know…

If we don’t end Medicare…”AS WE KNOW IT…” it will come to an end altogether.

Friday Fume

And so, we’ve all survived another week. It’s been a long week of liberal lies and insanity but the more they talk, the deeper the hole they’re digging themselves into.

It seems that, more and more, all we have to do to counter their inane behavior is use their own words!!

Let’s all sit back, take a deep breath, grab a beverage and have at it!!!

It’s FRIDAY my friends and…

I’m fuming.

If you were to ask the Emperor if HE knows the definition of the word, “Truth” he would most likely tell you that he does.

That would, of course, be a lie.

There he was, the Lyin’ King, spewing forth another load of bull in Mansfield Ohio when he stated, with great certainty…

“And you do not have to take my word for it. (Fat chance…) Just today, an independent, non-partisan organization ran all the numbers on Governor Romney’s plan. This wasn’t my staff. This wasn’t something we did. Independent group, ran the numbers.”

He was…LYING!!!

He was referring to, “On The Distributional Effects Of Base-Broadening Income Tax Reform,” which, in and of itself is a pack of lies.

Ya see…That “study” was written by…Samuel Brown, William Gale, and Adam Looney….OKAY?

Obama…STFU You Lying Sack of CRAP

So desperate is the liberal press to demonize conservatives that they will, as Rahm Emanuel so famously put it, “Never let a crisis go to waste.”

They continue to fall on their collective faces in the process.

It really started with the advent of the Tea Party movement.

Labels like “Astroturf” didn’t stick so, liberals tried a more demonizing approach by attempting to slap labels like, “angry mobs” “insane” “violent” “racist” and others on the Tea Party faithful.

All those labels were manufactured and false.

Try as they may, liberals just couldn’t make the labels stick because the actions, the demeanor, the nature and the principles of conservatives just kept proving them wrong.

Then came the horrible happenings in Tucson Arizona back in January 2011.

That’s when Congresswoman Gabby Giffords was shot along with many others and 6 people, including a 9 year old girl were killed.

Instantly, the liberal media jumped all over the crisis, not wanting to let it go to waste and they, as fast as they could, labeled Jerod Laughner as a right wing extremist who was prompted into his horrific actions by Sarah Palin.

Wrong again.

Laughner had not a hint of a tie to any conservative organization nor to Sarah Palin in any way, shape or form.

No matter. The left and their media are would not be swayed from their chosen but, clearly false path.

Along came the tragic event in Aurora Colorado.

Friday Fume

As we get closer and closer to the election…Liberals get closer and closer to the RUBBER ROOM.

They continue to grow more and more desperate and hence, they become more and more unglued.

We should fully expect liberals to foolishness to go completely off the scale and this week has been no exception. We, as conservatives can either pull our hair out or…laugh at them while we watch them flail about.

So what do you say Patriots? Shall we keep the pressure ON???

It’s Friday and…

I’m fuming.

Well, well, well…How about we start things off today inside the demented mind of Harry Reid?

In the last few days…ol’ Harry has stated and doubled down on something that even HE admits, he doesn’t know if it is true or not.

This jackass is flitting about saying that in the last 10 years…Mitt Romney has paid no taxes.

He says, “I am not basing this on some figment of my imagination. I have had a number of people tell me that.”

Who, Harry? WHO’S been telling you that???

The National Patriot Celebrates

Friends and Fellow Patriots, the time has come to do something we clearly don’t do often enough.

We need to say…THANK YOU.

It’s just 2 words and they don’t come close to what we owe you, our readers, for all you have done for us at The National Patriot.

Tomorrow marks our 1 year anniversary.

Yep, The National Patriot is 1 year old and we  hope that you’ll indulge us as we step just slightly away from politics for just 1 article.

Because of you, our Patriot readers, The National Patriot has become one of the fastest growing new conservative sites available and we thought it might be time to let you in on why we do what we do here.

In February of 2011, my cousin, Patty Robichaud and myself decided to try our hand at writing political articles for a website called, Politicular. After 3 months, the purveyor of that site decided to go in a different direction although he did offer to sell us the site which we built for him.

It didn’t seem like a good idea and besides, nobody knew how to pronounce the name of that site.

Heck…Neither did we.

Patty and I took a month or so off but, to be quite honest, we missed it.

In Early July of last year, I approached Patty with the idea of starting over. Our OWN site.

A Name which could be pronounced even if my own last name eludes most people.

We enlisted Joe Ammendolia to assist with the technical aspects and within a couple of weeks, we had a site empty and waiting for content. Well, Patty had, with great foresight and wisdom, managed to archive what we had done at Politicular and so, she added that to our new site…Which explains why our archives at The National Patriot go back a few months deeper than our 1 year anniversary.

We recruited a few friends to contribute when they could and, on July 27th, 2011, we launched The National Patriot!!

The idea was simple.
