As we get near the 2018 midterm elections, with an eye on 2020, the democratic party thinks they have it all figured out. They’re busy, even as you read this, laying the groundwork for their new and improved political platform.

Given the direction they’re going, they must believe they’ve finally unlocked the key to their 2016 presidential defeat.

The liberals just weren’t…

Liberal enough.

In light of that epiphany, the left side of the political aisle has decided to slide even further to the left, because…apparently…the socialists weren’t socialist enough to win in 2016, and by becoming more socialist than Castro, they think they’ve got a shot at it this November, and in 2020.

To highlight the plunge over the abyss of socialism that they now believe will raise them to new heights…

Syria…A War In The Shadows

By Craig Andresen and Diane Sori / Right Side Patriots on American Political Radio

Misinformation is a key strategic component of any battle plan. George Washington knew this as being the nature of war in regards to the public and the press.

The war in Syria has for many years been classified by both the mainstream media and by politicians at large as the Syrian Civil War, but nothing could be further from the truth for the fact is that the civil war in Syria is a proxy war being waged by just about everybody except the Syrians themselves.

To fully understand this concept one must first know the players involved in what’s happening inside Syria and why they are so engaged.

And while we hear daily about the “rebels” who are trying to oust duly-electd Bashar al-Assad from power, know that for the most part those “rebels” are not all Syrians per se but are outsiders being driven and financed by entities outside of Syria.

Syria…Beyond the Red Line

By Craig Andresen and Diane Sori / Right Side Patriots on American Political Radio

War is a dirty game replete with casualties. Collateral damage…as in civilian deaths…is part of the nature of war, but when it’s children who die only then does the world mourn. And when those children are gassed and die gasping for breath only then does it seem that the world get a conscience and a will to fight back.

“The evil and the despicable attack left mothers and fathers, infants and children, thrashing in pain and gasping for air. These are not the actions of a man; they are crimes of a monster instead,” President Trump said upon hearing that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad had once again (allegedly) used chemical weapons against innocent civilians.

True Colors and Seething Hatred

By Craig Andresen – Right Side Patriots on American Political Radio

President Trump’s first State of the Union Address was, to put it mildly, amazing. To hear that sort of respect for the members of our military, both past and present…to hear that sort of respect for our country, and for our allies, and that sort of hard line approach to our nation’s enemies… It was refreshing.

I was, after the 8 years of the Obama regime, hoping, perhaps with expectations set too high, for a positive, straight forward, and powerful message from our President, and to be quite frank about it…I was shocked by how far my expectations were exceeded.

Congressional liberals, on the other hand were…even for them…shockingly, repugnant.

There were plenty of great take-aways from that Address, but what, I believe, will stick with me the longest, was the loathsome behavior of liberals in that chamber.

When President Trump spoke of the respect our flag deserves…

Lessons Learned from Liberals in 2017

By Craig Andresen – Right Side Patriots on American Political Radio

History is a funny thing isn’t it?

It has often been said that those who fail to learn the lessons of history, are doomed to repeat it, and that much is certainly true.

President Ronald Reagan once said, “The trouble with our Liberal friends is not that they’re ignorant; it’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.”

That too is very true.

So…now that 2017 is history, and because liberals are liberals, perhaps it’s time to have a look at just what lessons we learned from those who “know so much that isn’t so.”

To begin our history lesson…

Col. Tom’s Great Day

By Craig Andresen – Right Side Patriots on American Political Radio

Unless you happen to live in the Great state of Nebraska, more specifically, in the western part of the state known as the 43rd Legislative District, you probably aren’t familiar with the name, Tom Brewer.

Considering the rich history of this state, only a single Member of the Legislature is a Native American.

Tom Brewer.

Only a single Member of the Nebraska Legislature wears a Purple Heart.

Tom Brewer.

Back in 2003, while serving our country in uniform, Tom Brewer was shot six times, broke 12 ribs, broke his sternum and was hit by shrapnel. He once told me that it was a good day, because he lived through it.

In 2011, in Afghanistan, an RPG tore him up again. It hit just feet from where he was, but that was a good day too.

After 6 tours, and the multitude of injuries he sustained, Tom Brewer wanted to go back. His doctors told him that enough was enough, and that it was time he called it a day.

A good day.

Since his retirement from the U.S. Army, Tom Brewer has found other ways to serve and one such way was creating a program for wounded Vets to learn new skills…coping skills…by taking them on horseback into the mountains of Montana and showing them that they were still relevant…and more importantly…still vital.

Today, Tom Brewer…Col. Tom Brewer…has become Nebraska State Senator Tom Brewer, representing the 43rd District…after campaigning, on the back of horses and mules across a 500 mile trek of his district with several of the men who served our nation with him.

Just a day or so ago, I reached out to Tom, as I had a few things I wanted to discuss regarding a bill he has currently in committee. I sent him a Facebook Message, asking him to give me a call, and knowing he’d get back to me as he always does.

He did…with a return message on Facebook. He told me to hold my thought on his bill, and we would discuss it in a few days. You see…Tom was a little busy…too busy to deal with a legislative bill…to busy, apparently, to handle his duties as a State Senator.

This was his message, and knowing the man as I do, I wasn’t one bit surprised.

“I am in Dallas Texas with the children of some of the men who died in my command (Gold Star families) part of a project called Operation Snowball Express. Probably one of the most difficult things I’ve ever had to do is to explain to a child why they lost their Parent. It makes what we do in the legislative chamber seem easy.”

Senator Tom Brewer had once again become…Col. Tom Brewer…and he was explaining to those children why a parent didn’t come home to them, what those parents meant to this country, to those who had served with them, and what those parents meant to him.

He said it was “probably one of the most difficult things” he’s ever had to do.

More difficult than being shot six times, breaking 12 ribs and his sternum, or having a rocket propelled grenade blow him up. More difficult too than the more than 30 surgeries he’s endured to repair all the damage done to his body while in the service of us all.

More difficult than serving our country for 36 years.

More difficult than surviving leukemia, which Tom Brewer has also done.

Read that message again…

“I am in Dallas Texas with the children of some of the men who died in my command (Gold Star families) part of a project called Operation Snowball Express. Probably one of the most difficult things I’ve ever had to do is to explain to a child why they lost their Parent. It makes what we do in the legislative chamber seem easy.”

I should tell you too, that he wrapped up that message with this…

“It has been a great day”

Veterans…Our Every Day Heroes

By Craig Andresen – Right Side Patriots on American Political Radio

Veterans Day.

A singular day set aside to honor those who have served this nation, the cause of freedom and liberty throughout the world, and here at home.

One day, when we should all come together and offer our thanks to those who, throughout the decades and centuries, have preserved our freedom, our rights and our way of life.

Just one day?

No…

That’s simply not right.

Do we enjoy our liberty just one day of the year?

Trump: The End of the Deal

By Craig Andresen and Diane Sori / Right Side Patriots on American Political Radio

I am announcing today that we cannot and will not make this certification…We will not continue down a path whose predictable conclusion is more violence, more terror, and the very real threat of Iran’s nuclear breakthrough.” – President Donald Trump

Last Friday, after listing all of Iran’s past and present nasty deeds and nuclear deal violations…our president under the guise of the ‘Congressional Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act’ rightfully decided not to ‘recertify’ Obama’s ‘very bad’ nuclear deal…a deal subject to recertification every 90 days.

A campaign promise kept and thank you Mr. President for doing so.

North Korea’s Fate is in Kim Jong-un’s Hands

By Craig Andresen – Right Side Patriots on American Political Radio

The question being bandied about on social media, as well as the mainstream media over the past few days is simple…should a preemptive strike be launched against North Korea?

Given the complexity of the issue itself, perhaps the question is, in fact, too simple.

In a recent Facebook comment to that very question, John Hawkins, the owner of Right Wing News, answered that simple question in what one would assume was a well thought out way by stating that, “Not unless we were very sure a nuclear attack was coming. Reason being…A conventional strike would lead to Seoul being leveled almost no matter what we do. A nuclear strike is a terrible post WW2 precedent to set, rains fallout on South Korea and China and could alarm China enough (are they nuking us or North Korea) to cause them to launch nukes. Our best options would be sanctions, blockades and working with China (which Trump is having some success doing) to get the Norks to get rid of their program.”

As I said, one would assume that to be a well thought out response, but assumptions are often, and in this case, most definitely wrong…and let me count the ways…

Scaramucci – The Best Case Scenario

By Craig Andresen – Right Side Patriots on American Political Radio

Late last week, the White House press room was shaken, not stirred and suddenly Sean Spicer resigned from his dual role as the Press Secretary/Director of White House Communications, and the quick as lightning Sarah Huckabee Sanders was in, as Press Secretary…and Tony Scaramucci was the new Director of White House Communications.

What was, by all appearances, a smooth of a transition in those roles as possible, actually holds deeper meaning in the overall aspects of the Trump administration.

To begin with, let me be candid in my assessment of the outgoing Sean Spicer.
