Yesterday, a blow was struck for freedom of speech and it wasn’t in the United States Supreme Court.
The ACLU had nothing to do with it.
No flags were burned.
Unlike in Wisconsin, where those feeling entitled to out of control pensions paid for by the taxpayers, what was occupied yesterday did not fall victim to millions of dollars in damage.
In fact, those involved yesterday felt entitled to nothing more than their 1st Amendment rights.
There were no reports of violence, drug use, sex crimes, public defecation or arrests and the only deaths were those of chickens. Thousands of them.
Those who manufactured the controversy, as they usually do, masterminded their own epic fail and this fail was much more visible than most.
While they will, no doubt, call those involved in yesterday’s stand for free speech every name in the book and attempt to brand them in vile terms there are some things they need to have pointed out.

Along with all the bombast regarding personal attacks on Mitt Romney, one should fully expect Obama to ratchet up yet another aspect of his agenda between now and the end of September and, if Romney and his staff are smart, they will take today’s news and pounce on it like they have the “You didn’t build that” stance Obama has taken lately.
When it comes to this election, the most important election since 1860, far too many conservatives are asking the wrong questions or, I believe, taking the wrong stance.
Syria is primed and ready to fall. The clock is ticking on Assad and his brutal regime and it’s now in the 11th hour.
