As the 2024 campaign enters the homestretch, the final five months, now is the time for the two main parties to ramp things up, connect with the voters, and lean into their respective policies in regard to what they mean for the future of our country.
The 2024 presidential election offers an almost unique opportunity…four years worth of Trump’s policies vs four years of Biden’s policies. We can make direct comparisons…apples to apples without the unknowns entering into the fray.
Aside from the policies of which we are all familiar, there are other things that weigh into the overall aspect of this particular presidential election…the intangibles if you will, and from those, we can draw insight, if not conclusions.
Donald Trump is who he is. You like him or you don’t but he’s not going to change and that’s important because we know exactly what we can expect. Far too often political candidates present themselves differently depending on who they’re talking to, trying to appeal to individual voters or voting blocks by pretending to be this, that or the other thing. That’s not Trump, and that was on full display a couple of weeks ago when he held a rally in the South Bronx.
That crowd was a demographic melting pot of black, Hispanic, white, male and female voters and Trump did absolutely nothing to alter his message. He wasn’t talking to ethnic hyphenated Americans…he was talking to all Americans and that resonates with voters. There stood a billionaire talking about the issues that all Americans care about, and that blue-collar, hard-working 9-5 Americans are concerned about. Trump didn’t lower himself to whatever are the perceived day to day issues they deal with…he raised them up with his understanding of what all Americans deserve…economic stability, safety, law and order, and the chance to take full advantage of the opportunities offered to American citizens in our great nation.
What makes Trump’s rallies work is that he’s able to speak about the future of America by reminding voters of our recent past. Regardless of what you might think of him personally, his policies during his first term worked. He cut taxes and slashed regulations leading business owners, big and small to grow, expand and thrive. With that came new jobs and higher wages, lower unemployment and fewer people living below the poverty level.
During Trump’s first term, we became energy independent which led to lower prices at the pump, lower heating and cooling bills in American homes, and by producing more of our own oil, OPEC was forced to drop THEIR prices to compete.
At the border, Trump had illegal crossings at an all-time low, and while he wasn’t able to complete the wall thanks to congress, his “stay in Mexico” policy worked not only to stem the flow of illegals, but also to stem the flow of drugs coming across, keeping cartel business on the Mexican side of the border.
On the world stage, Trump’s first term rebuilt the peace through strength strategy started by President Reagan, instilled fear in our enemies and respect from our allies. Trump’s policies regarding foreign affairs had our NATO allies taking on a bigger share of the funding for their defense, had the Middle East more stable than it had been for decades, and his policies put the U.N. on notice that we were no longer going to fund their corrupt activities.
Trump issued no apologies for American greatness, unlike Obama, and he offered no condolences for dead terrorists unlike Biden.
The results of Trump’s first term are tangible, and while “never Trumpers” within the republican party may not like the way he went about installing and enforcing those policies, they worked. That means that the anti-Trump sentiment in the Republican party amongst voters is purely personal. Maybe they just don’t like his bombastic nature, or maybe he said something mean about their preferred candidate leading up to the 2016, or now the 2024 elections, but however they got their feelings hurt, his policies are not what they’re against, or they’re flat out lying if they claim their aversion is to his policies.
Simply put, America was better under Trump than it was under Obama, and it was far and away better than things are now, which leads me to Joe Biden and his campaign.
After three and a half years of Joe Biden’s policies, America is in dismal shape any way you look at it. For Biden to run on his policies during his time in office, he and his campaign have to lie. Biden claims that inflation was over nine percent when he took office, but that’s a lie as it was just 1.4 percent when Trump left office. Biden claims that Americans have more money to spend, but voters know the truth and their bank accounts prove Biden is lying about that too.
For years, Biden claimed there was no crisis at the border…another lie, but now he’s claiming that republicans in congress are preventing him from fixing the crisis he told us for years didn’t exist. More than nine million illegal aliens have poured across our border during Biden’s time in office…an all time high, the drug cartels are shipping mass quantities of deadly drugs into our country and illegal aliens from around the world are coming across unhindered, putting national security at risk because Biden allows it.
Taxes have gone up under Biden, inflation has skyrocketed, homes are unaffordable to most Americans thanks to high interest rates, the jobs Biden claims he created are mostly people returning to work after COVID lockdowns, and nearly 2/3 of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck while credit card debt soars to all-time highs.
On the world stage, Biden is an abject disaster. He surrendered in Afghanistan, leaving Americans and our allies behind and that move has established Afghanistan as a terrorist nation. Biden has allowed Iran to regain economic strength that had been eroded away under President Trump, and Iran is now an eyelash away from becoming a nuclear nation. Biden’s policies allowed Russia to invade Ukraine, are assisting HAMAS and hindering Israel in Israel’s war for existence, China is now a breath away from invading Taiwan, and Biden has our U.N. and Department of State observing moments of silence and issuing condolences for the dead Iranian butcher.
Lacking ANY positive achievements in his term, the Biden 2024 campaign is stuck trying to convince voters that everything is fine, and that given another term, he will fix the problems his policies created in his first term. Outside of that, his main focus trying to instill fear over a second Trump term, while demonizing and degrading half of American voters.
“MAGA republicans are a threat to democracy.” That is the ongoing theme in the Biden campaign, and it’s pure B.S.. Biden, his campaign, elected liberals and their propagandists in the mainstream media sneer at “MAGA republicans” as though it’s an insult. Imagine deriding and vilifying Americans who want America to be Great Again, as though that is the worst thing on Earth for America to be.
“A threat to democracy?” Really? First of all, we’re a Constitutional Republic, not a democracy, and second, it’s Biden and his Department of Injustice that is trying to railroad HIS opponent through kangaroo, Banana Republic courts and put him in jail for crimes that not even the Soros bought and paid for prosecutors can define.
With Trump now being convicted in NY, there can be no doubt that the Biden campaign will try to leverage a transparently political vendetta into referring to Trump as a “convicted felon” even though polls show that the vast majority of Americans see that and other pending trials for exactly what they are…ginned up charges meant to interfere with the 2024 election.
Add to all of that, the fact that Joe Biden is a cognitive mess. Over the past couple of weeks, Biden has spoken at two graduations. First, at Morehouse, he told the assembled grads that they are nothing but victims because they’re black, and that America offers them nothing but systemic racism. That’s not very inspiring, and it’s flat-out wrong. The second graduation Biden spoke at was at the U.S. Military Academy where he told the ARMY Cadets that he was once appointed to the NAVAL Academy and turned it down because they had Roger Stauback as their quarterback, and he didn’t think he could compete.
First of all, Joe Biden was a receiver during his short stint as a football player, not a quarterback, and second, there is absolutely NO record in existence showing that Biden was EVER appointed to the Naval Academy.
To be clear, Joe Biden not only was never appointed to the Naval Academy, he also has never been appointed to al Old Navy store.
Last week, Joe even needed help while trying to put on a KC Chiefs helmet.
There was also a third speech given by Joe Biden in the past couple of weeks…the one he tried to give to the NAACP. It THAT failed attempt at public speaking, Biden called the NAACP the NAAC and thanked them for giving him “this organization,” rather than for giving him some award. In fact, after that disaster of a speech, the Biden White House had to make NINE corrections to the provided text of his brainless remarks including to one portion of it where he referred to those who entered the Capitol on January 6th, 2021 as “ERRECTIONISTS.”
The compare and contrast between Trump and Biden really is like comparing ice cream to horsecrap isn’t it? I mean, there are some people who wouldn’t say horsecrap if they had a mouth full of it, and every once in a while you run across somebody who’s lactose intolerant even though they actually like the taste of ice cream. Those people can take Lactaid and enjoy the icecream sort of like using a clothespin on their nose in the voting booth, but there’s nothing you can do to enjoy another four years of horsecrap.
What’s driving the liberals out of their minds is that a broad spectrum of people relate to Donald Trump because he relates to them, he understands them, and the proof that his policies can and will make their lives better is evident to them because they remember what it was like just four years ago.
On the other hand, there is absolutely no enthusiasm connected to the Biden campaign. Trump draws in massive numbers at his rallies, but Joe can’t even fill a broom closet for a campaign stop. Trump banters with the people at his rallies, but Joe can’t even read from the teleprompter. Trump is navigating these farcical trials like a ninja while Joe needs help finding his way off a stage. Now, Joe wants to hire a meme czar to create social media content to counter the daily Biden jokes that simply write themselves.
This election however, is about more than just the policies the two candidates brought to the table in their terms in office, as the very future of the Republic now depends, more than ever before, on the outcome of this election. Those who believe in the rule of law, in a system of fair justice and about the Constitution, regardless of their personal feelings regarding the Republican nominee, and regardless of hurt feelings must vote for Trump or risk the clear and present danger of a full-on Marxist or banana republic form of government.
Those who prefer Marxism over freedom and liberty can vote for Biden and Obama’s fourth term, or aide and abet Obama gaining a fourth term by either not voting for president, or by voting for anyone other than Donald Trump.
Let’s make Joe Biden the first presidential candidate to be defeated by a…“convicted felon.”
