At the end of my commentary earlier this week, I stated that, “make no mistake…this country is at a crossroads and America hangs in the balance.”

I stand by that statement, but at the same time issue this warning…it’s worse than you might think. The 2020 election this November is critical. Polls show that President Trump is behind Joe Biden, and while I don’t put much stock in such polls, remember, the 2016 polls that had Hillary running away with that election, we can’t dismiss current polls given what we have to lose.

At stake is not just an election. It’s not just the next four years. What’s at stake is the nation itself and our nation’s future. President Reagan said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

Truer words were never spoken, but I’ll make one update to Reagan’s quote…We are now but one election away…

The liberal elite have grown tired of waiting for their agenda to “fundamentally transform America” over time. They’ve been at it, laying the groundwork for it, planting its seeds, watering them, and fertilizing them for decades. Obama’s eight years leading the seditious revolution nearly got the job done. Four years under Hillary would have finished the job, and America as we have known it. President Trump has erased a good deal of the tyranny Obama instituted and now liberals have grown desperate. Desperate not just to stem the bleeding away of their ultimate goal, but to make that goal a reality as fast as possible.

To those ends, the liberal elite are no longer content to hide that agenda. They no longer feel the need to disguise it, or try to bring it along by stealth means. They are now up front, open, transparent and brash about what they want this country to be, and they’re counting on brainwashed democrat voters to blindly continue their support of an agenda that even they won’t like once it becomes the new law of the land.

What we see today, every day in places like Portland, Seattle, NYC and just about any other big city under the thumb of liberal control is that agenda on full display. Gone are the trial balloons. Gone too are the dry runs. It is what it is, and it’s in full swing, on full display, and liberals want to expand it nationwide.

For the purpose of this commentary, I’ll use Chicago as the example because Chicago is the liberal elite’s Midwest Mecca, and the model for what they want for the entire nation.

Just a few days ago, on Monday morning, Mayor Lori Lightfoot said, “We are waking up in shock this morning. These individuals engaged in what can only be described as brazen and extensive criminal looting and destruction. And to be clear, this had nothing to do with legitimate, protected First Amendment expression.”

I call BS on that statement in the most adamant sense of the phrase. Lori Lightfoot wasn’t “in shock” Monday morning. Neither she nor the liberal elite were shocked by last weekend’s lawlessness in Chicago. Yes, it was a bit worse than last year, but let’s be honest…it’s been getting steadily worse for a decade, and Lightfoot and her liberal elite pals know why too.

In fact, BLM held a rally in support of those who had been arrested in Chicago and called the $60 million dollars in damage caused by the looting...”reparations.” Ariel Atkins, a BLM organizer said, “That is reparations. Anything they wanted to take, they can take it because these businesses have insurance.”

The liberal agenda has been implemented in Chicago for some time. The city has been run by liberals since…well…Chicago’s last Republican Mayor was William Hale Thompson, and his time in office ended in 1931. Since then, corruption has been the calling card of Chicago politics, and over the past decade or so, Chicago has become a virtual gun-free zone and liberal policies have replaced common sense slowly but surely.

Now…Black Lives Matter has been painted on Chicago’s streets, the BLM is making demands while the Marxist ANTIFA is running the show. That didn’t just happen last weekend either. That’s been the case since the end of May. All of that has come with the requisite arson, looting, destruction of public and private property, assaults, shootings, murders and the targeting of the police.

The mainstream media calls it “peaceful protests,” but anyone with an ounce of common sense knows better.

Crime is skyrocketing in Chicago, and Lightfoot knows why but she’s pretending to be shocked by it. Crime is what it is in Chicago now because of the liberal policies put in place by Lightfoot and her elite cronies. The cops are standing down, partly on orders from Lightfoot’s ivory tower, and partly because they know the lives and freedoms of individual cops are now on the line.

If Chicago’s police take the action necessary to prevent further crime by the criminal element, they will come under legal fire from liberal politicians in the Windy City, and by the rules of social justice, those cops will lose their jobs, and some will be sent to prison for simply doing their jobs.

Social justice is what liberals intend for the replacement our nation’s judicial system because social justice isn’t based on the rule of law, it’s based on feelings. Feelings, of course are arbitrary, and liberals want that so as to be able to alter “justice” on a whim. Remember…not just for Chicago, or any other liberal run blue city, but nationwide. And who gets to decide whose feeling get hurt and who is responsible? Liberals and the liberal elite.

If garden variety liberal voters, or democrats at large think such a system of fake moral outrage will protect them, they are dead wrong, and I give you Ellen DeGeneres as a prime example. DeGeneres is a liberal’s liberal, and her show and career have been built on “feelings.” All of a sudden, people who worked for DeGeneres claimed their feelings were hurt, and Ellen DeGeneres is now facing the end of her career in abject shame. Was she a tyrant to work for as so many of her current and former staffers claim? I don’t honestly know, but so what if she was? How many of her staffers who are now leveling accusations against Ellen DeGeneres were being forced to remain employed by her?

Of course they had every right to look for other employment if they didn’t like their jobs…but that’s not how social justice works. Social Justice demands that the offending party be ousted, shamed, ostracized and fired, and that’s where the liberal system becomes the abject failure…those who registered their offense, and employed social justice will soon be out of a job…and they’ll blame Ellen.

Lightfoot says she doesn’t want to defund the police…she wants to “reform” the police.

It’s virtually the same damned thing. Reforming the police takes the bite out of the dog that guards the safety of Chicago’s residents and that’s the primary reason crime is skyrocketing in Chicago today. Criminals now know they have little, if anything to fear. The criminals are now running Chicago’s streets. The ANTIFA and BLM goons act with impunity because they know the cops in Chicago have been put on such a short leash they can’t take action to quell the riots. Garden variety street thugs and gang members in Chicago now know that all they have to do is claim they can’t breathe, and the cops will face prosecution…not the criminals. It’s open season on law-abiding Chicago citizens because liberals and their policies have made the streets safe for criminals, and increasingly dangerous for law enforcement.

Watch these videos from various blue cities and know that those perpetrating the violence are liberal, democrat voters who are pretending to be offended and faking moral outrage as an excuse for extreme violence. They no longer fear arrest due to liberal policies, and they feel they have a license to kill.



More and more cops…good cops…are calling it quits because of such liberal policies, and as they do, crime reacts accordingly. For more on that trend, read Diane Sori’s op-ed from earlier this week, “Crime Numbers Up…Police Numbers Down.”

Neither Lori Lightfoot nor the liberal elite woke up “shocked” by what’s happening in Chicago any more than liberal mayors and the liberal elite are “shocked” by what’s transpiring in Portland, Seattle, L.A., Oakland, Detroit, NYC or any other blue city in any blue state. Lightfoot claims that the police are coming for the criminals, but both she, and the criminals know that’s not true.

In Chicago last weekend, there was a feeding frenzy of looting with criminals posting their liberal condoned lawlessness to social media. Liberals taking advantage of the agenda with shopping bags full of merchandise they didn’t pay for gleefully walking in and out of such stores as Nordstrom, Walgreens, Macy’s, Coach, Gucci and Louis Vuitton. One video from Chicago last weekend even showed a U-Haul truck pulling up to be loaded with stolen items from a vandalized and ransacked store.

Last Monday morning, Chicago police managed some 100 arrests, but there were easily ten times that many criminals involved in the looting and violence. During those early morning hours, 13 cops were injured in clashes with the criminals who no longer fear the defanged police.

The criminals also have no fear of the justice system, and that too is being orchestrated by the liberal elites. The aim, I believe, is to simply overwhelm the system. It has already become nearly impossible to keep up with the numbers of arrested criminals, and soon, the courts in Chicago and elsewhere will have to cut those arrested loose. The court dockets can’t handle the tsunami of cases, and the jails are already busting at the seams. That means, no prosecutions, and more releases of criminals which will increase crime on the streets.

The idea behind the liberal agenda is to intimidate people, strike fear into the lives of law-abiding citizens, and ultimately make them beg liberal governments for protection…protection the liberal elite will only pay lip-service to, but will never actually provide. It’s the liberal agenda in action…create victims, and then claim to be the only entity that can be relied upon to solve the problem.

Too cynical? Not when you consider the fact that the mess we see in Chicago, Seattle, Portland, Detroit, L.A., Oakland and so many other blue cities was orchestrated by those city’s liberal leaders, and now those same liberal leaders are telling their citizens, as Lightfoot did in Chicago last Monday morning, “To those who engaged in this criminal behavior, let’s be clear: we are coming for you. We are already at work in finding you and we intend to hold you accountable for your actions.”

There you go…liberals created the problem, orchestrated it, fanned the flames, stood down their police forces and now they’re claiming they intend to hold those they set loose on their cities accountable? What a crock of crap.

It all comes down to November 3^rd. If liberals hold the house, take the senate and the White House, the agenda will be set, and the “fundamental transformation of America” will be completed. Obama will serve his defacto 3^rd term and the liberal models that are now Chicago, Portland, Seattle and so many others will become the new national norm. The rule of law and our Constitution will be replaced by liberal social justice, and the squishy feelings of the liberal elite will become the tyranny used to intimidate, shame, and persecute those who dare to speak or act against them.

Liberals will stop at nothing to push their hideous agenda over the top, and America into the abyss, and Conservatives cannot afford to be complacent.

Their ultimate goal is to have our children recite this in schools…”I pledge allegiance to ANTIFA’s flag of the anarchist states of Amerika, and to mob rule for which it stands, one nation under no God, divided, with social justice and victimhood for all.”

If you think it can’t happen here…you’re wrong…dead wrong.

We are but one election away from that.
