Let’s set the gaffes and the now all too obvious dementia aside for the time being and focus on what has become a glaring problem for both him, and the democrat party.

Joe Biden has been accused of sexual assault by Tara Reade.

According to Reade, that assault took place back in 1993 when she was a staffer for then Senator Joe Biden. The accusation is that Biden kissed her…touched her inappropriately, and even penetrated her with his fingers…all without her consent.

There are some parallels here with the Christine Blasey Ford accusations against now Justice Brett Kavanaugh that must be addressed.

Blasey Ford accused Kavanaugh of sexual assault back in the summer of 1982, but didn’t step forward until 2018 when Kavanaugh was nominated to a post on the U.S. Supreme Court. Like the Reade accusation against Biden, Ford’s accusation was long past the statute of limitations by the time she stepped forward.

As I stated numerous times in 2018 regarding the accuser against Kavanaugh, she should have gone to the police as soon as it allegedly happened. Reade should have done the same, but neither did.

In the case of Blasey Ford, after coming forward with her accusation, she was completely unable to corroborate it with any evidence, or any witnesses. Nobody from her circle of friends at the time of the alleged assault backed up her story. In fact, nobody at the party where the event supposedly took place could even remember Kavanaugh being there, and he produced testimony showing that he couldn’t have been there.

Blasey Ford claimed to remember vividly every detail of the alleged assault, except for the date, the exact place, the time and apparently who was at the supposed party. She had nothing, filed no police report, and failed to even tell anyone about it for decades.

On the other hand, Tara Reade claims to clearly remember the date, the place, the time and she did tell people including her mother, her brother, and a close friend almost immediately after the alleged event took place, and she also confided in a neighbor just a couple of years later regarding what she claims happened. But no police report. Reade does however claim to have filed an official complaint with her bosses in Biden’s office, but apparently not about the specific allegation in the news today, but about other sexual harassment events of which she was the victim.

That begs the obvious question…where are those records now?

Well, the University of Delaware holds the key to those records, literally, as those records have been locked away. Officials with the University of Delaware are now refusing to release those records, and a number of those officials have both close personal, and financial ties to Joe Biden. The University of Delaware has had those records, lots of them, in fact, better than 1,875 boxes of documents, photos, videos and various files along with some 415 gigabytes of electronic files in their hands since 2012. The University of Delaware said they would release those records to the public two years after Biden’s last day in public office, but literally a scant few hours before Biden announced his bid for the White House in April, 2019, the University of Delaware said they would not release them until two years after Biden retires from public life.

That effectively keeps the official records that could well contain damning proof of Biden’s assault against Tara Reade locked up throughout this campaign, or longer.

Reade claims that the official report should be in the records, Biden claims it never happened, and while Biden has agreed to release his records from the National Archives, he has also refused to authorize the release of the records from the University of Delaware and that begs two questions…what is in those records in Delaware that Joe Biden wants to remain under lock and key, and why doesn’t Reade have a copy of the official report she claims to have filed back in 1993?

My guess is that IF she filed such a report back then, it found its way into the office paper shredder before she was out of the office lobby and therefore doesn’t exist today which would mean that there is nothing to back Reade’s allegation in those University of Delaware documents, but there is something else that neither Biden nor his team want out in the public domain.

So…is Tara Reade telling the truth? Was she sexually assaulted by Joe Biden in a hallway in 1993?

Simply, and honestly there is no way to make a definitive determination one way or the other and while I’ll get back to the question of guilt in a bit, I suggest that the real story here isn’t whether or not Joe Biden did what Tara Reade says he did, rather how people are reacting to the allegation.

In the case of Blasey Ford, a woman who waited decades to make her allegation public and had absolutely no corroboration, liberals instantly, and virulently jumped on the bandwagon with the #MeToo movement. Stormy Daniels was also a liberal icon for her baseless allegations against President Trump. And what about the vigina costume wearing marchers at Trump’s inauguration? Liberals came out of the woodwork telling us all that we MUST believe the “survivors” and that women who make such accusations, even decades after the alleged activity HAD to be believed.

Liberals went on the attack, and the men who were accused were determined by liberals to be GUILTY unless they could somehow PROVE their innocence.

Meanwhile, Conservatives stood steadfastly on the rule of law that one is presumed innocent until proven guilty…the exact opposite of the fundamentally transformed system of justice being pushed by liberals.

The tables have now turned on the liberals. It’s one of their own who stands accused. Where are they? Where are all the women who dressed up as handmaidens for the Kavanaugh hearings? Where is the parade of vagina costume wearing women who marched against President Trump at his inauguration? Where is the “#MeToo” movement that descended on social media to demand that “we must believe survivors” in backing the allegations, baseless as they were against Justice Kavanaugh?

Like cockroaches, they have scurried back into the woodwork when the light of reality is shining on one of their own chosen party.

But the tables have also turned on Conservatives. It’s now a liberal who stands accused. Where are the Conservatives who planted their flag on the innocent until proven guilty rock?

Social media today is replete with Conservatives proclaiming Biden’s guilt…based on what? An accusation and nothing more…just like liberals proclaimed Kavanaugh’s guilt a couple of years ago while today, liberals are starting to demand that proof be shown.

I said that I’d get back to the question of guilt, and so I shall. There is no more evidence of Joe Biden’s guilt in the case of Tara Reade than there was evidence of Brett Kavanaugh’s guilt in the case of Christine Blasey Ford.

While Reade seems more believable based on the fact that she told people what happened when it allegedly happened, she, like Blasey Ford failed to file a police report, and both waited decades to air their allegations in public.

While there are ample videos of Joe Biden being creepy with adults and children, invading their personal space, brushing his hands across them where his hands ought not to be, sniffing their hair and so on, which is a pattern of grossly inappropriate behavior, the Tara Reade accusation is nothing more than that…an accusation.

The mainstream media should also be held accountable here. If Biden had an “R” behind his name, the media, democrat voters and the democrat party would pillory the man 24 hours a day, but Biden is a democrat, he’s one of their own, and their presumptive 2020 nominee.

Biden’s not fair game to them, he’s a protected species.

The mainstream media wasted no time, and spared no effort in proclaiming the guilt of both Kavanaugh and Trump in the face of unprovable allegations, but now that same media is desperately trying to provide cover for Biden.

A year ago, Tara Reade tried to reach out and tell her story, to get legal help, or at least legal advice. She went to “Time’s Up,” an arm of the National Women’s Law Center that provides legal support to alleged #MeToo victims. “Time’s Up” wanted no part of it, and they provided a rather flimsy excuse regarding how they could endanger their 501c status if they got involved in a spat involving a national political candidate, but there’s much more to it than that.

“Time’s Up” has SKDKnickerbocker, handling public relations. The Managing Director of that particular public relations firm is Anita Dunn whose resume reads like a who’s who of the liberal elite as she has worked  for numerous elected liberals from the Carter administration through working on both of Barack Hussein Obama’s campaigns.

A couple of years ago, Anita Dunn gave voluntary advice to one Harvey Weinstein, telling him, “you should accept your fate graciously, and not seek to discredit those who your behavior has affected.”

Anita Dunn is now THE top adviser to Joe Biden’s presidential campaign, and in Biden’s statement regarding Tara Reade’s allegations, Biden said, “I don’t know why she’s saying this, I don’t know why after 27 years, all of a sudden this gets raised, but I’m not going to question her motives, I’m not going to attack her. She has a right to say whatever she wants.”

That sure does sound like not seeking to discredit those who his behavior has affected to me, but does it prove that Tara Reade’s allegations are true? No, no more so than Blasey Ford’s allegations proved anything and that’s the point.

As Conservatives, we took the high road where allegations against Kavanaugh and Trump were concerned. We insisted on innocent until proven guilty and in those cases, the accusers had no such proof of guilt. The fact is…Tara Reade has no more proof of guilt regarding Joe Biden than the accusers of Kavanaugh or Trump had.

Biden’s guilt or innocence in this case is neither the real story, nor the real question that should be asked. The real story, and the real question should be why the political reaction to such similar allegations under such similar circumstances have now garnered the exact opposite reactions from voters of both political parties than they did just a couple of years ago.

As Conservatives, we would be very ill-advised indeed to give up the moral high ground we took a couple of years ago by pointing out the abject hypocrisy of liberals while engaging in that same sort of hypocrisy today. Regarding Biden v. Reade, we must hold the high ground.

Innocent until proven guilty is still the rule of law. Nothing has changed in that regard and if we, as Conservatives now brand Joe Biden guilty based on nothing but an unprovable allegation, we have sunken to the level of liberals.

There have been many variations of the quote, but from a political standpoint, I believe Will Rogers said it best…“Never roll around with a pig in the mud as it won’t take long before nobody can tell you from the pig.”
