Ronald Reagan once said, “It isn’t so much that liberals are ignorant. It’s just that they know so many things that aren’t so.”

There can be no greater affirmation of the spot-on truth of that statement than the liberal’s reaction to the Trump presidency. Liberals have lifted knowing things that aren’t so to an art form over the past four years, and there is no sign of that particular mental affliction abating any time soon.

While the impeachment will live forever as a glaring example of liberal’s knowing so much that isn’t so, Trump Derangement Syndrome amongst liberals infected their ideology much, much earlier than that. To really understand the depth of the liberal pandemic, we can trace its origins to the day Donald Trump became the Republican nominee, and to be fair, even before that.

In the run-up to the nomination, during the primary season of 2016, Bill Maher asked his panel which of the candidates stood the best chance of winning the general election. Ann Coulter responded…

“Of the confirmed candidates? Donald Trump.”

That was met by typical liberal mocking, laughter, and abrupt dismissal.

After Trump had secured the nomination, liberals far and wide, from elected office to any liberal near a microphone summarily dismissed Trump’s chances of winning over their anointed, and entitled Hillary Clinton.

On election night, all the mainstream media had Trump’s chance of winning at just three percent, but that was at the beginning of their collective election night broadcasts. As the night wore on, and as the numbers began to change, mainstream media liberals who knew…just KNEW that there was no way Donald Trump could POSSIBLY win, began to grow nervous, then worried, and then…mad.

By the early morning hours of November 9^th, 2016, liberals were in full-on melt-down mode.

They KNEW he couldn’t win, but as Reagan so aptly predicted…what the liberals knew wasn’t so.

Immediately, liberals claimed “Russian collusion,” and manufactured a fake dossier that “proved” it. Liberals KNEW they had Trump, after faking evidence to gain FISA warrants so as to spy on American citizens connected to the Trump campaign, and they set into motion an investigation that would cost the American taxpayers more than $40 million dollars with which to prove what they claimed was so.

The Mueller report ended up proving that what they just knew, wasn’t so.

Then, it was the phone call. Liberals just KNEW that there was a quid pro quo attached to that phone call between President Trump, and Ukraine’s President Zelensky, and Adam Schiff told us that he had the evidence. Impeachment proceeding were set into motion and the liberals in the House called one witness after the next to prove the quid pro quo, but a curious thing started to happen. Not one of their witnesses knew anything about it. None of them could testify beyond what they had presumed, or heard from somebody else, or what they heard from a friend who heard it from a friend.

Liberals KNEW it was quid pro quo, until that fell apart, and then they KNEW it was extortion, before they KNEW it was bribery.

All of those things that liberals knew, that just weren’t so.

Finally, liberals knew…they just KNEW that President Trump had abused his power, and that he had obstructed congress. They KNEW it, and they claimed that their evidence was indisputable. INDISPUTABLE. They told the whole world that their evidence was INDISPUTABLE, but that just wasn’t so, as every Republican member of two separate House committees…disputed it.

Liberals told us all that they had to finish their work on impeachment in the House because our nation’s security was at stake. They KNEW that if they didn’t impeach President Trump before Christmas, our country would be in grave danger, and they told us all that they KNEW their case was irrefutable.

Then, Nancy Pelosi held onto those articles of impeachment for more than 30 days because what they KNEW was a grave, time sensitive national security issues…just wasn’t so.

Liberals told the world that they have proven their case in the House, that Trump’s guilt was indisputable, and that their evidence garnered in the House was more than enough to have President Trump removed from office by the Senate…except…the President’s team of attorneys did dispute their claim that Trump was indisputably guilty, and the House Managers immediately demanded MORE evidence on top of what they had told us was more than enough to have Trump removed from office.

If you’re keeping track, that’s more stuff liberals knew that wasn’t so.

From the floor of the Senate, the House Managers demanded witnesses, and documents while continuing to proclaim their case to be beyond dispute, and more than sufficient. As it became clear that the Senate was not going to allow for more witnesses, the liberals then ramped up the rhetorical nonsense of things they KNEW, but just weren’t so.

The standard line, oft repeated, and to be continually repeated ad nauseam until the end of time became, “It had no witnesses. No documents. It is a tragedy on a very large scale.” That’s what Chuck Schumer said right after the vote in the Senate that ended the prospect of witnesses appearing before that body. “No witness. No documents.” Those words have become the new liberal mantra, and every liberal from the halls of congress, between shining seas, and across the mainstream media landscape have repeating them like trained parrots.

Liberals want you to know…they INSIST that YOU know, and repeat, “NO WITNESSES. NO DOCUMENTS.” They want you to KNOW that…but it just isn’t so.

You see, during the House proceedings, there were witnesses, and there were documents. In fact, there was a parade of witnesses auditioning for prime time in the basement of the House for a couple of weeks before those who won a part in the Kabuki Theater production of Kangaroo Court made their grand stage debut. 17 witnesses testified in public in House hearings.

For those keeping score, that’s reality 17, liberal lies 0.

As for documents, liberals want you to believe there weren’t any, except that also just isn’t so. In the House, there were 28,000 pages of documents that were part of that mountain of indisputable, iron-clad evidence, which makes that score, reality 28,000, liberal lies 0.

17 witnesses, and 28,000 pages of documents WERE presented as evidence in the impeachment of President Trump in the House, and over in the Senate, the House Managers spent hour after hour, monotonous day after monotonous day playing video clips from those 17 witnesses, and blathering on about those 28,000 pages of documents that they KNOW proved their case in an INDISPUTABLE manner until those liberals made the claim that none of those witnesses existed, and none of those 28,000 pages of documents ever existed either.

“NO WITNESSES. NO DOCUMENTS,” other than the 17 witnesses and 28,000 pages of documents NONE of which proved what they claim to KNOW, and all of which have been roundly disputed.

Sadly, liberals really do tend to “KNOW so many things that aren’t so,” but I’ve a theory…

Liberals believe they actually won in 2016, and they believe their claim to unilateral power is…indisputable. In fact, I believe they KNOW it.

They KNOW that Hillary won the 2016 election despite irrefutable evidence she didn’t. They KNOW that their current, yet I believe temporary control of the majority in the House means that they have an indisputable right to dictate their whims to the Senate, and they KNOW that their made-up, fabricated nonsense, their hypothetical renderings of future events, and their rhetorical blathering takes precedent over the facts, and the Constitution.

Ronald Reagan once said, “It isn’t so much that liberals are ignorant. It’s just that they know so many things that aren’t so.”

Reagan may well have been a bit hasty regarding the part about liberal ignorance, however outside of that…
