The 2020 presidential campaign is going to be a doozy, and it will begin to heat up in the next few months. Currently, there are some 23 or 24 liberals who have thrown their wadded panties into the ring, and that number will grow before the list starts to thin itself out due to attrition.
As I have said before, the liberals have no way of winning on real issues, so they are running on a combination of social, and social media issues, special interest issues, identity politics and pandering. As a party, they really don’t have a platform, and as individual candidates, they have no planks that deal with anything of substance.
There is something however, that it seems the liberal candidates, and most likely around which the party itself will coalesce…and it should come as no great surprise…
Pure, unadulterated lies.
As Conservatives, we don’t take it well when a right side of the aisle politician gets caught fabricating crap that is transparently false. We demand that elected official either step down, or be replaced in the next election.
We have standards.
Liberals don’t, and it seems that a majority of liberals voters simply don’t care when they are being lied to, nor to they tend to give a happy crap when the liars they voted for get caught lying. Most liberal voters are so used to being told lies, by their elected officials, and their chosen sources of fake news, that they simply accept the lies as the truth they want to hear, parrot the lies themselves, and reelect the liars.
Here’s the lie that will dominate the liberal 2020 campaign, from the early stages to the race for the nomination and clear through to the 2020 election itself…Trump is “illegitimate because he colluded with Russia and obstructed justice” to win in 2016.
It’s a bald-faced lie. It’s been proven to be a lie via the Mueller report, and regardless of 
how clearly it is shown to be a lie, or how often it’s shown to be a lie, that will be the campaign talking point from each and every 2020 liberal presidential candidate going forward.
Don’t think so? It’s already started.
Last week, at a campaign swing in New Hampshire, a woman in the audience told Joe Biden that, “He is an illegitimate president in my mind. That’s it. He’s illegitimate and my biggest fear is that he’s going to do it again with the help of Vlad, his best pal, and we’re going to be stuck for six more years with this guy, and that is terrifying, it’s terrifying.”
Biden’s response was predictable. “Folks, look, I absolutely agree.”
Well, there you go. We’re off and running. The liberal mainstream media, and liberal social media have been blasting that bit of fake news across the globe for the past two years, and while the mainstream media used their version of a scatter gun to deliver that fake news message, they were, in fact, targeting liberal voters.
Mental health professionals call this the “illusion of truth” effect. It’s a propaganda tool. A quote often attributed to Nazi Joseph Goebbels, a master propagandist, was, “Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth.”
Most people think that’s true, because it has been attributed to Goebbles for decades, but the truth is, it comes from the Bible, “A Lie Repeated Often Enough Becomes Accepted Truth”

Other notable quotes on the subject of lying that apply to this situation come from Jonathan Swift in 1710, “Falsehood flies, and the truth comes limping after it.” Another version of that quote comes from the Portland (Me.) Gazette, Sept. 5, 1820: “Falsehood will fly from Maine to Georgia, while truth is pulling her boots on.” As far as that goes, C. H. Spurgeon, in Gems from Spurgeon (1859) wrote, “A lie will go round the world while truth is pulling its boots on.” Ironically however, most folks who have ever heard the quote attribute it falsely to Mark Twain who once said, “A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting on its shoes.”
Swearing that the quote originated from Mark Twain is directly akin to swearing that Trump colluded with the Russians because that’s what you’ve been told, so that’s what you believe, and two years worth of repeating the lie about Trump and the Russians is often enough to make it become the truth for the sake of propaganda, and it has traveled more than half way around the world while the Mueller report is just now in the process of putting 
on its shoes.
The difference between Conservatives and liberals on this point is that Conservatives, when it’s pointed out to them that the quote they have always been told came from Twain actually came from Jonathan Swift in 1710, will say…hmmm…I didn’t know that, and they will tell the next person who claims Twain said it, that it was really originated by Swift, while a liberal who believes that Trump colluded with the Russians when confronted by the facts of the Mueller Report will simply say, “He is an illegitimate president in my mind. That’s it. He’s illegitimate and my biggest fear is that he’s going to do it again with the help of Vlad, his best pal, and we’re going to be stuck for six more years with this guy, and that is terrifying, it’s terrifying.”
Still don’t think the lie regarding President Trump colluding with the Russians to win in 2016 is both the talking point for 2020 and a clear case of the “illusion of truth” effect? Watch this video of Representative Jim Jordan clearly stating the facts to a liberal constitutional expert who wrote a letter stating, in no uncertain terms, that President Trump colluded with the Russians.
Even when presented the truth, with the very words of the Mueller report on the matter of collusion, this liberal “constitutional expert” clings to the lie. Who is she? Her name is Caroline Fredrickson, and she is the President of the American Constitution Society which has student chapters in nearly every law school in the United States. That means that someone suffering from the mental illness of the “illusion of truth” effect is setting the bar for law students at just about every asylum of higher indoctrination with a law program in our nation.
The Board of Directors in that obviously liberal, delusional organization includes one Eric Holder who once had this to say regarding our nation’s young people.
Yes, in that video, Holder is talking about guns and violence, but he says that the “creative community” i.e. Hollywood, the media, and teachers…all controlled by liberals…must devote themselves “every day” to…”brainwashing people” into the type of mindset he’s advocating.
Now…replace “anti-gun” with “anti-Trump” and it’s not much of a stretch at all to see what liberals are doing today. The “creative community” I.e. Hollywood, the mainstream media and teachers from grade school through college are all pushing the “anti-Trump” message “every day” in order to “brainwash people” into a liberal mindset.
That’s the broad scope of it, but let’s have a look at it in more narrow terms.
Throughout the 2016 campaign, Hillary’s liberal operatives saw the groundswell of support going in Trump’s direction, and as the campaign drew closer to the nomination, they compared the size of Trump’s crowds to Hillary’s crowds, and knew they were in trouble.
Had Hillary won in 2016, the status quo would have been maintained. Comey would have continued as the head of the FBI in all of his incompetent, and corrupt glory. Brennan would have remained as the head of the CIA in his corrupt glory. Loretta Lynch, a political operative rather than an Attorney General would have remained in place as well. John Kerry, who helped to engineer the horrible Iran nuclear deal would have continued to warp our foreign policy to the will of the United Nations, and one shudders to think of the Supreme Court and federal benches under the appointments of Hillary Clinton.
Liberal operatives had to orchestrate a political hit against Trump, and unable to dig up any real dirt, they manufactured the Steel dossier, which accused Trump of colluding with the Russians. That was the initial lie. They took that lie to the FISA court, not once, not twice but four times in order to spy on Trump and his campaign under the guise of covering their legal bases with the lie.
Remember…“A Lie Repeated Often Enough Becomes Accepted Truth.”
Then, Hillary’s liberal operatives leaked it to the mainstream media with the help of John McCain, and suddenly, Hollywood jumped on the bus right along with the mainstream media, repeating and repeating that lie over and over again, day in and day out from the moment of Trump’s nomination until this very day.
Remember, Eric Holder said that the “creative community” and the media would have to work “every day” to “brainwash people.”
By the time Mueller came into the picture to “investigate” what had already been outed as a complete fabrication, the collusion delusion had taken on a life of its own.
Remember, Jonathan Swift, in 1710 said, “Falsehood flies, and the truth comes limping after it.”
Two years later, after 2,800 subpoenas, 500 plus witnesses and the spending of somewhere in the neighborhood of $35 million taxpayer dollars, the pretend investigation 
into a fabricated tale of Trump’s collusion with the Russians wrapped up…after two years of flying falsehoods…the truth, that there was no collusion between Trump, or any members of his campaign and the Russians…came limping in.
And yet, when faced with Mueller’s own words, from Mueller’s own report stating clearly, and succinctly that no such collusion as was charged, and spread about with a flame thrower by Hollywood types, elected liberals, the liberal mainstream media and by liberals at large all over social media existed, the President of the American Constitution Society, one Caroline Fredrickson, whose organization sets the standard for law school students who will become attorneys, politicians and judges at all levels, sits before a House Committee and holds fast to the lie thus creating an “illusion of truth” effect with which to “brainwash people.”
This leaves us with two questions. First…why?
Simply to take revenge against the man who ended Obama’s planned third term by defeating Hillary Clinton in 2016, and as revenge against all Americans who voted for Donald Trump on November 8th, 2016.
And second…did the “illusion of truth” effect work?
That’s a more complex question, but…the collusion delusion lie, after being told nonstop by liberals for two years did lead a woman to stand at a 2020 campaign stop and say, “He is an illegitimate president in my mind. That’s it. He’s illegitimate and my biggest fear is that he’s going to do it again with the help of Vlad, his best pal, and we’re going to be stuck for six more years with this guy, and that is terrifying, it’s terrifying,” and Joe Biden to say, “Folks, look, I absolutely agree.”
To a point, it has worked, but only to the point where the only people being fooled, are those willing to be fooled, those liberals who were so devastated by Hillary’s loss that they developed Trump Derangement Syndrome and are desperate enough to ignore the truth in favor of an illusion of a truth that supports their political agenda. They believe the lie, because in that lie, they find validation for their hurt feelings, and compensation for their 
investment in the liberal agenda.
Sadly, for liberals, what they’ve invested in is the political equivalent of a Ponzi scheme, and I believe that in November 2020, for liberals, there will be no dividend paid on their investment, because like a financial Ponzi scheme…
It’s nothing but an illusion of truth, and a circle of lies.
