Lately, I have been regaled with the vile vulgarities emanating from the cult of Trump, as though they believe that myself, and so many others will somehow be swayed by their rabid blindness and suddenly become as complacent as they, themselves are, and simply out of a mixture of sheer anger and blathering moral bankruptcy, cast our votes for their chosen liberal fool.

It’s not going to happen.

We, those of us in the #NEVERTRUMP #NEVERHILLARY #NEVERBERNIE camp, have something that the cult of Trump will never have…

Respect.

First, we have self-respect. We true Conservatives, have stood proudly and unwaveringly for the Constitution, for the very foundation of Conservatism, for the true vision and legacy entrusted to us by our Founders and Framers and we have steadfastly defended the notion that what is needed, at this most critical of moments with regard to our history and our future, is a true, Constitutional Conservative.

But, far more important than our self-respect…

Is our respect for our great nation…a nation founded on principles of life, of liberty, of individual rights extended to all its citizens, unalienable and bestowed upon us by the Creator…an unnamed Creator, belonging to no particular brand of any particular religion.

We in the #NEVERTRUMP, #NEVERHILLARY and #NEVERBERNIE movement understand our great nation’s role in the world and we have a keen understanding of our current position on the world stage. That position has been eroded, to the brink of the abyss, by Obama and by the ilk of Hillary Clinton and we know what happens, as witnessed over the past 8 years, when a complacent cult places a rank amateur in charge.

Our allies no longer trust us. Our enemies no longer fear us. The world is a far, far more dangerous place that it was before amateurs, traitors and liars were left the keys and we know that any last threads of respect we, as a nation have around the world will be lost should we allow another amateur to follow in Obama’s treasonous footsteps.

Yes, we are also aware, clearly aware, that Hillary has been every bit the traitor, every bit the amateur, every bit the liar Obama has been but we are just as aware that should we, in the party opposite hers, vote to elect yet another raving narcissist of the ilk of Obama, the rest of the world will see no future hope of ever seeing true leadership coming from our great nation.

The future of our Republic is at stake and the cult of Trump seems to believe that electing a man with the temperament of a 3 year old, prone to fits of rage and midnight twitter storms…a man who has been a life-long liberal, standing for each and every liberal notion that has come along for decades…a man whose career in business has been as fraught with failure as with success and whose style of leadership has been a narcissistic exercise in dictatorship surrounded by a virtual sea of more than 3000 lawsuits while he has gamed the system he claims he will fix to his own advantage, is the perfect candidate.

At least, claims the cult of Trump, he would be better than Hillary.

No. No he would not and neither would Hillary or Bernie be any better than Trump. They will all shove our nation over the abyss.

Ronald Reagan once said, of our great nation, that we are the shining light on the hill, and we who will never vote for Trump, Hillary or Bernie know, as we can see clearly, that just as Hillary or Bernie would extinguish that beacon of hope to the rest of the world…so too would Donald Trump.

We, as clear thinking citizens of this nation, with our eyes unclouded by unbridled anger, realize the absolute danger of electing any of those mentioned. We know we have serious domestic issues regarding our economy, our immigration situation and that we are facing threats from an expanding government that are, one by one eliminating our personal liberties. We also know that, as a nation, we are facing serious threats from around the world that are meant to end our existence as well as the existence of our greatest allies.

We also see clearly that what is needed, is Constitutional Conservatism, a steady hand on the rudder and a leader who is far, far more concerned with our individual rights than with his or her own legacy and there is no evidence available to suggest that either Hillary, Bernie or Trump have any greater vision for our nation than the vision staring back at them from their own mirrors.

Obama, on the campaign trail before his election in 2008, told us all that he would “fundamentally transform America.”

Into what, exactly?

Into a state of pure socialism as Bernie Sanders has been vowing to do?

Into a state of utter corruption where those in government operate without a system of checks and balances, willfully disregarding the rule of law as Hillary has shown us all that she would do?

Or into a dictatorship, run by a clinical narcissist and knee-jerk reactionary elected by an angry mob of cult followers whose vile and vulgar rhetoric mimic that of their cult’s leader?

Any way you slice it…Bernie, Hillary or Trump…and Obama’s vision of a fundamentally transformed America would be complete and the cult of Trump seems completely blind to that reality.

We understand completely those who say they are sick and tired of the same old thing. We understand completely those who say we can’t afford to elect just another run of the mill politician to lead our great nation as one run of the mill politician is no different from another and that, should we fall prey to repeating history, nothing will change. We get that. That is why so very many of us have supported Ted Cruz as Cruz is anything but the same old thing.

Ted Cruz went to Washington, not to become just another go-along, get-along bought and paid for politician. He went there to expose those who did fit that mold and he has stood against them since his arrival. Not only has Cruz taken his stands publicly and steadfastly, he understands the true role of government as set forth by our Founders and Framers and he has shown the same high level of respect for our Constitutional foundations, of life, liberty and individual freedoms as we, the #NEVERTRUMP, #NEVERHILLARY and #NEVERBERNIE movement have stood for.

Cruz has been the outsider in Washington from the day he got there and he, of all the candidates thus far, has shown the temperament, the ability, the depth of knowledge both with regard to domestic and international issues and the courage to lead our great nation away from the abyss and back to the Constitutional intent of the Founders and Framers.

But, because he wasn’t Trump, the cult of Trump wouldn’t back him. He is, according to the cult of Trump, a politician and therefore, in their closed eyes, unworthy of their support. Better, they claim, that we vote for a National Enquirer, reality TV show narcissist and abrasive clown than for a true Constitutional Conservative because their abrasive, vile and vulgar clown is an outsider from outside the beltway regardless of the fact that he hasn’t the temperament or the wherewithal to lead a one car parade out of the driveway much less along a one block long parade route.

Okay…well, we now have on our horizon, a true Constitutional Conservative. A possible candidate who could step in at this late hour who is not only a razor sharp intellect but keenly aware of the dire nature of our current standing on the world stage, but just as keenly aware of our over burdensome domestic issues.

David French embodies the very attributes that we Constitutional Conservatives have been looking for.

French is a graduate of Harvard Law School. He’s the past president of the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE), and a former lecturer at Cornell Law School along with being a brilliant Constitutional attorney. There is little, if any doubt, that he would make a priority of selecting Constitutional jurists for federal courts as well as for the Supreme Court.

David French has served as a senior counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice and the Alliance Defending Freedom and French is a major in the United States Army Reserve (IRR). In 2007, he deployed to Iraq, serving in Diyala Province as Squadron Judge Advocate for the 2nd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, where he was awarded the Bronze Star.

Those are just some of the things that we Constitutional Conservatives have been looking for and French also has a bibliography of authored work that proves him to be a candidate that evangelicals can easily get behind.

But what of the cult of Trump? Why should they get behind the proposed French revolution?

Because David French meets their criteria of being an outsider. A complete, 100%, lock, stock and barrel outsider having never run for office, having never held office and having never been a bought and paid for, go-along, get-along, run of the mill Washington politician.

What’s more, unlike the cult leader, Trump…French as never bought a politician’s favor.

You see, according to the cult of Trump, the best way to stop Hillary, is to elect Hillary’s donor…which makes as much sense as saying that the best way to put a stop to hen house raids is to hire the fox who has been raiding the hen house to guard it.

Here’s what it boils down to…

The cult of Trump is intent on making a protest vote against the RNC and the elite of the GOP by casting their ballots for Donald Trump…as in…until you give us what we want, a Conservative nominee, we’ll see to it that we nominate a liberal and eventually, you, the RNC and the GOP will understand that if you ever want to win an election again, you’ll ditch the go and get alongs and then we’ll get serious.

As for those of us in the NEVER hashtag movements…we are just as fed up with the go and get alongs as well as the RNC and GOP but we know that the best course of action is Constitutional Conservatism now, rather than later because we are on the brink of there not being a later for which to wait.

What’s this? Common ground?

Yes…both the cult of Trump and the #NEVERTRUMP movements are ready to tell the old line, establishment GOP and RNC to go pound sand and that it’s high time for a new, outsider direction in our great nation’s leadership.

David French stands steadfastly for what we Constitutional Conservatives want and just as steadfastly outside of what the cult of Trump doesn’t want.

But French hasn’t been properly vetted. He’s a complete unknown and there could be skeletons hiding in the corners of his closet. Does that matter? Obviously it doesn’t matter to the cult of Trump, as they have excused every overt skeleton in their cult leader’s closet but should it matter to the hashtag movement?

I suggest it shouldn’t, as there never has been nor will there ever be, a perfect candidate and for the simple matter that our Founders and Framers were not as pure as the driven snow. It is up to us, We the People, to hold every elected official accountable and make necessary course adjustments as we go because that was the intent of those Founders and Framers.

David French would be an amateur. Are we willing, as constitutional Conservatives, to chance an amateur? Well, French’s resume is replete with reasoned thinking and leadership based on the rule of law. He’s no knee-jerk reactionary. He’s no liberal. He’s not a socialist and there is no reason to believe he would rule rather than lead. If we are going to put our nation’s future in the hands of an amateur, as did our Founders and Framers, why not put it in the hands of a man like David French?

Liberals won’t vote for him but French just could united what is now a split Republican vote and if he does, he could be just the candidate, and the president to reignite and bring a new direction to a GOP that has long since lost its way along with new leadership in the GOP which is long, long overdue.

The prospect of a late entry into this most important election, of David French, will either determine the true intentions of the cult of Trump or it will expose their true intentions. If what they want is a true, reasoned leader, 100% an outsider who will forever change the course of the GOP and do away with the establishment mentality that has ruined our chances of righting the ship of state for decades, they will drop their cult leader and get behind this proposed French Revolution.

However, if the true intention of the cult of Trump is to simply elect a liberal, a bone-crushingly inept, narcissistic and elitist liberal…they will scorn the prospect of true leadership for their own reality show amusement.

And if we, who have supported Ted Cruz or others, are willing to drop our first candidates of choice, to support this potential late entry of a true Constitutional Conservative, we will prove our true intentions of supporting and electing a leader the likes of which our Founders and Framers would be proud.

The cult of Trump claims their reason to blindly follow their “leader” is to beat Hillary. That too is the goal of those of us who have supported Cruz and others. So the question is, considering this common ground…can both sides of this internal conflict come together to support one candidate who could get the job done and represent our nation as it should be represented…at home and on the world stage?

It is true that a 3^rd party candidate can’t win, just as it is true that a split party can’t win so…if the Trump and Cruz camps both agree to get in lock-step behind a single candidate…David French…even at this late date…French would not be a 3^rd party candidate nor would the party remain split.

I, for one, as a supporter of Ted Cruz, would cast my vote for David French and I believe with encouragement from Cruz himself, my fellow Cruzers would do the same so…that means it is entirely up to the Trumpers…to either show their true intent by putting aside their 1^st candidate of choice and joining ranks with Cruzers who would need to do likewise…or have their true intent exposed, at which point they will not be able to, in any degree of honesty, blame anyone but themselves when Trump gets destroyed in November.

What say you…Trumpers? In this most uncommon election, can we unite on this most uncommon, common ground?
