When will it finally dawn on this administration that gun free zones are prime targets for those who don’t give a damn about other people’s lives?

Ft. Hood 2009.

A number of schools.

A movie theater.

The DC Navy yard.

The Navy Yard again.

And yesterday…Another shooting at Ft. Hood Texas.

Early reports regarding yesterday’s shooting had 3 dead soldiers, 1 dead shooter, Ivan Lopez, a U.S. Army Specialist who shot himself and some 16 wounded.

Those numbers may change but the key to those early reports was the manner in which the shooter was taken down.

By his own hand.

At Ft. Hood nearly 5 years ago, the terrorist Hassan was cut down by a civilian contractor Security Officer.

At the DC Navy Yard in 2013, Arron Alexis was killed by the DC Police.

That is because, on all MILITARY installations…Those on them are NOT allowed to carry weapons.

This is NOT a new regulation by any means and those blaming this on Obama need to step back. The regulation banning guns from our military basses is some 20 years old…

IT WAS ONE OF THE VERY FIRST THINGS CLINTON DID WHEN HE TOOK OFFICE IN 1993!!!

NO GUNS on a military base. It sounds ridiculous but those are the rules. Those who put in place this insane rule believe that, should those who live and work on our MILITARY bases carry WEAPONS…Well…Somebody could get hurt. Maybe killed.

BUT, BECAUSE OF THE CLINTON ADMINISTRATION, SOMEONE WITH A GUN, BENT ON MURDERING INNOCENT PEOPLE FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER, WILL FACE MORE FIRE AND STOPPING POWER AT A N AVERAGE 7-11 THAT THEY WILL ON A U.S. MILITARY BASE!!!

As this absurd administration deals with yet ANOTHER shooting at a military base, deals with more deaths, more injuries…There can be little doubt they will eventually, most likely sooner than later, seize upon this unnecessary tragedy to call for yet more gun control.

They’ve done exactly that before.

It’s bull.

BULLCRAP.

You want to stop this sort of thing? Stop it on our military bases and stop it in our schools? ARM those who work there.

You may not stop it altogether but, you would clearly limit the destruction to a great extent.

Even those who are warped enough to walk into a building and open fire will think twice about walking into an armed situation where there are those, trained and ready to put an end to their murderous acts.

Gun free zones are nothing more than barrels full of fish to murder.

Gun Free Zones = Target Rich Environments.

We don’t yet know what it was that set Ivan Lopez off. We don’t have a clue what he was thinking but, one thing is clear.

He felt safe enough to wreak havoc in a place where he knew armed resistance would take time to reach the scene. When he felt that response was about to descend upon him, according to the reports, he turned his weapon on himself.

The left uses such events to raise their collective voices and demand more and more gun control resulting in fewer and fewer rights for law abiding citizens. They are so sure that if the law abiding among us are DISarmed, the problem will simply disappear.

They are dead wrong.

The same scenario applies to our military bases.

Disarm the good soldiers and only those whose screws have come loose will carry a weapon into a building.

The insanity of this policy, championed by the left, will soon be on display as flag-draped coffins are buried. Just as it has been on display when tiny little caskets and buried or the caskets of those who teach our children or those who take a break from reality to see a movie are buried.

Last September, after Arron Alexis killed 12 people at the DC Navy Yard, liberal senator and gun control rube Diane Feinstein had THIS to say:

“When will enough be enough? Congress must stop shirking its responsibility and resume a thoughtful debate on gun violence in this country. We must do more to stop this endless loss of life.”

Obama promised and took more Executive Action with his pen to implement more gun restrictions.

MORE laws keeping good, law abiding Americans from the ability to defend themselves???

SHIRKING congressional responsibility??? By not passing MORE restrictive gun laws???

They’re shirking their responsibility alright but NOT in the way the muddled liberal/socialist mind thinks they are.

THEY JUST DON’T GET IT!!!

But there WAS someone in congress who DID GET IT…

Last year, in September, after the Navy Yard murders…Congressman Steve Stockman, ironically, from Texas, introduced a bill… H.R.3199 which would allow the carrying of firearms by those in the military who have a conceal carry permit while on any U.S. military base.

That bill was sent to committee where it has sat ever since. According to govtrack.us which is a website where we can all track the progress of specific legislation, H.R.3199, Stockman’s “Safe Military Bases Act” has only a 4% chance of getting out of committee and, sadly, only a 1% chance of ever being enacted.

Because of a regulation enacted by the Clinton administration 21 years ago, we may not know what made Spc. Lopez decide to do what he did yesterday at Ft. Hood but, we DO know why it happened.

It happened because murderers seek out gun free zones and for 21 years, the very places where we train men and women to engage and kill the enemy have been gun free zones.

We ask these men and women to protect our country, our freedom and our liberty around the world but, we decline to allow them to protect themselves.

If you want this to continue to happen, ignore congressman Stockman’s Safe Military Bases Act AND EMBRACE THE INSANE POLICIES OFFERED BY THE ILK OF FEINSTEIN, SCHUMER, OBAMA and other liberal/socialists..

You want this to stop…

PRESSURE EVERY MEMBER OF CONGRESS TO GET THIS BILL OUT OF COMMITTEE AND PASS IT BEFORE WE HAVE ANOTHER MASS MURDER ON ONE OF OUR MILITARY BASES!!!
