As I stated in yesterday’s article, ‘A Government Against the People,’ taking this country back will not be an easy task nor one that can be accomplished in one election or with one president.
That is because, the problem, in this particular case, land grabs BY the federal government, is not a new issue. It’s one that has been decades in the making and one which will require at least a decade to unravel.
Federal government land grabs, such as the microcosm we saw at the Bundy Ranch, have been perpetrated upon the people by administrations from both sides of the aisle and, at the root of the problem, is that dirty word…”extortion.”
When the mob or, today’s neighborhood gangs threaten business owners into paying protection money in order not to be robbed BY the mob or neighborhood gangs…it’s extortion and what the federal government has been doing for far too long amounts to the exact same thing.
Here’s how it works…
The federal government “gifts” to the states, and for the purpose of this scenario, we’ll use the western states as the primary example as that is where the overwhelming vast majority of federal land grabs have taken place…”gifts” the states with federal dollars for such as roads, bridges, levies and other infrastructure projects.
In return for the federal government’s acts of kindness and “protection” from having to fund repairs on their own, the feds then “ask” for and have received over the years, more and more access to the land OF those western states.
The federal government then bamboozles the people of those states by calling those lands…
”Public lands” when in fact, the public is then, in almost every case, blocked FROM those lands. The government then claims to “MANAGE” the land whilst, in reality, they simply sit on them, doing nothing but waiting for the opportunity to turn them into some agenda item and, in the meanwhile, preventing the state or prior individual owners OF the land from using them in any way.
Naturally, states and individuals become agitated…paying out tax money to the federal government for nothing and, the feds then must concoct phony reasons for their seized lands to remain in federal hands.
Protect the spotted owls…protect the humped backed chub, protect this insect, that plant and those tortoises too. Phony baloney but just as nobody likes being called a racist, nobody likes being the scapegoat for the unsettling of some ridiculous “endangered” cricket.
When the people of a given state have had enough and demand the return of some particular parcel of dirt, the federal government, for decades, has then THREATENED the given state with the removal of federal funding for the projects they so happily agreed to construct in the first place.
You want to KEEP your federal funding??? Back off your demands to reclaim your land and, while your at it…give the federal government control of some MORE dirt and the feds will, oh-so-graciously, continue to repair patch your potholes.
Extortion, plain and simple.
The federal government has for decades held the western states over a barrel of toxic government waste.
So…How do We the People end this seemingly endless cycle of federal governmental abuse?
As I said, when it comes to elections, one and done isn’t going to cut it but, that is NOT to say that every single election isn’t important. Quite to the contrary in fact. Each and every election is now more important than ever before and to truly take our country back, both literally in the cases of the western states and more broadly, take it back from the brink of abject socialism and communism, We the People must choose wisely at every opportunity but, this is where things get tricky.
We must elect those to our state legislatures who believe firmly in the sovereignty of the states over the tyranny of a federal government out of control. Likewise, we must elect the same sort to our federal offices as well.
Another very important part of the process is to convince those in our individual sovereign state governments to quit feeding at the federal teat and I don’t mean weaning their way off it…I mean cold turkey.
At the same time, those at the state level must work in concert with those at the federal level to rework both federal and state tax codes so that the equivalent dollars can be transferred from federal tax roles to state roles in such a way as nobody is paying more but the monies stay IN the state rather than being redistributed amongst the states.
This would provide better control for the people of each state to determine what projects are necessary, which are not and how much is to be spent where needed. It also keeps those elected to national offices from so readily lining their own pockets at the expense of those who elected them and removes a great deal of the pork from our federal budgets.
The people of any individual state are then a GREAT deal closer to those who will determine their spending and, should corruption ensue, and it surely will, the people of the state can take immediate action to nip it in the bud.
Until the balance of power in both Washington and the states shifts to a Constitutional form and away from a reliance on the federal government (from the perspective of the states) and a lordship OVER the states (from the perspective of the powers that be in Washington) none of this will be possible which is why we, as Patriots, must fight against tyranny at the ballot box AND as boots on the ground for as long as it might take.
The best answer to this mess is in the document the liberals love to loathe.
The Constitution…where it says in plain English…” We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
PROMOTE not PROVIDE the general welfare which means the government should NOT be resorting to extortion over such as roads, bridges, levies and damns and, if one bothers to delve a little deeper and read Article 1, Section 8, Clause 17 of the Constitution, one would see this: “To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of Particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States, and to exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards, and other needful Buildings;–“ meaning the federal government, unless they plan on erecting of ‘Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards, and other needful Buildings,’ on all of those lands that have taken possession of in our western states, have absolutely NO Constitutional authority to HAVE those lands under their control AT ALL and every acre of them should revert to either the ownership of the STATES or to INDIVIDUALS.
By no means do I intend for you to believe this is going to be easy or without sacrifice because, as the problem has been building from both sides of the political aisle for decades, it is this current regime which has raised it from creeping extortion to a art form based in utter desperation at several levels.
Why else do you think the current regime and its minions in congress are so hell bent on removing our right to bear arms? Obviously, they know they can shove the people around for only so long before they come at them and out gun them as we saw a week ago at Bunkerville and the Bundy Ranch.
That was not the case years ago at Ruby Ridge and there, the federal government had the tactical upper hand.
This current regime, in order for its perverse ideology to prevail, must control the people at every turn. Such is the very nature of socialism and communism. Both are ideologies so profoundly good, necessary and fair (in the eyes of those currently ruling over the people today) that they must be forced upon the people at the point of sniper rifles by military trained goons masquerading as our protectors.
Tomorrow, right here in The National Patriot and on Right Side Patriots with my radio partner, Diane Sori from the Patriot Factor (patriotfactor.blogspot.com) and I will be dropping bombshells on further malfeasance connected to Obamacare and liberal agenda behind these federal land grabs.
I have often had the argument you give offered of the home. However that is private property. And that is vastly different from the entrance of people who could enter legally through a public entry point as they did for many generations and go about their desired (peaceful activities) of visits, work, trade and even settling as (non voting) immigrants. Why is this not understood? I fear it is because of the false picture that groups such as CIS FAIR and others have made demonizing, particularly Latinos, but in earlier eras other nationalities. I beg you as person who, from what I have read, seems to have so much insight on other areas of political issues, to reconsider your position. This immigration issue is out of synch with individual liberty, a free market, and the incredible power of the Administrative Agencies. Not something you shoud support.
Once one gives ethe power to decide who will enter and who cannot, then immigration becomes handled not by the market but by a faceless, incompetent bureaucracy. That bureaucracy, then also has the power to determine who cannot leave and make exiting the country so much more difficult and getting funds out almost impossible. This is a part of government control.
The difference between legal and illegal becomes immaterial as the bureaucracy is not based on justie or equality before the law, but rather at best bumbling and irrational rules and at worse bribery and corruption.
Further the people patiently waiting in line for ten and sometimes many more years, are not being kept out by the illegal immigrant. This is a fallacious argument and illogical. The people are kept waiting because the Immigration bureaucracy is at the least inept.
Lastly, this is not the argumentation that the Democrats us. This is pure market based libertarianism. One cannot claim to be for a free market and yet condone the control of labor, good, or capital being restricted and defined by a bureaucracy.
Constitutionally, the Federal government was given control over naturalization, definitely not immigration.
Lynn…We are a nation of laws and as such, we have borders. I have advocated many times to have our immigration laws streamlined so that nobody has to wait the length of time they do now to come to our country regardless of their point of origin but, to erase the borders as you seem to advocate is an economic and societal disaster in the making.
We can and SHOULD streamline the process but only AFTER we SEAL the borders and those who have entered illegally need to be deported and moved to the BACK of the line.
If you came home from a night out Lynn, and found people you didn’t know…making themselves at home in YOUR home…would you accept them as residents of your home or would you call upon some “faceless, incompetent bureaucracy” to have them taken OFF your property?
Now then…as liberals always do, you have attempted to divert the topic of this article from its focus…The Bundy Ranch situation and our right to keep and bear arms. If you are unable to keep to the topic of this article, your further comments will be deleted.

As much as I agree and support and have also written about, the tragedy of the federal Ownership problem, in other words 90% of what you have wrttten, I am saddened and disappointed in your approach to “Ilegal Immigration.” For more reasons than I can tell you right now, this is playing into the collectivist and fear mongering that the Feds are expert at doing. Pitting rich against poor, black against white, farmers and ranchers against city people, each group of immigrants against those already here, and using those fears and frustrations to mis direct our attention away from their nefarious back room parlaying. May I direct you to perhaps Future of Freedom Foundation for pertinent and meaningful research of immigration. Independent Institute is also a great source of pertinent research.
One more reminder. Anti immigration rhetoric is the same today as it was in the past. Earlier, it was supported by the progressives of their day who feared for population overgrowth, (therefore supported massive abortions) eugenics and a collectivist ideology which wanted to classify people not as individuals but rather by race or ethnicity. Today the three primary groups speaking against immigrants are CIS, FAIR and NumbersUSA who all have their roots in eugenics. Please, please reconsider your almost casual acceptance ot the anti immigrant and restrictionists talking points.
Lynn…
You have made the exact same blanket statement so often parroted by liberals and socialists in that I or we, as Conservatives are, in your words…”anti immigration.”
NOTHING could be further from the truth as immigration built this great nation and will continue to do so.
What we are is…anti ILLEGAL immigration as THAT is the breaking of our law with the first step across the border. Illegal aliens are flaunting our nation’s law sand are NOT therefore, productive members of either our society OR our culture.
I will NOT reconsider my take on ILLEGAL immigration any more that I would ever reconsider my stance on LEGAL immigration and any such nonsense as trying to equate the two as being one and the same is patently wrong. There are those who have been waiting in line…many for more than a decade, to LEGALLY immigrate to our nation and THOSE are the people who WILL be productive members of our nation on EVERY level.
Also, my stance on ILLEGAL immigration is, as you can clearly see…anything BUT casual.
