Liberals and socialists have a habit of ignoring the real situations that plague them and an overwhelming desire to blame others for their own shortfalls.
There are 2 very telling quotes that provide a basis for this article.
First…
Margaret Thatcher once said, “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.”
How true for, everywhere socialism has been tried, it has failed and it fails because, once other people’s money runs out, the entire framework for it collapses.
The second quote comes from Albert Einstein.
“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
Feel free to argue with Einstein over this premise but, you will lose the debate.
Okay, keep both those sage and spot on quotes in mind as we proceed as they will ring even more true for any with common sense.
Let’s take the case that Karen Lewis tried to make earlier this year.
Lewis is the president of the Chicago Teachers Union, Local 1 of the American Federation of Teachers and, as the daughter of a family of educators, she should know better but…alas…She is a liberal/socialist.
I want you to take 2 minutes and hear what she had to tell a group of fellow socialists last summer.
Astonishing, isn’t it?
“When will there be an HONEST conversation about POVERTY…and RACISM…and inequality that hinders the DELIVERY of an education product in our school system?”
How about right now, Ms. Lewis?
Karen Lewis claims that “RICH, WHITE PEOPLE” think they know what’s in the best interest of African-American and Latino children and, she doesn’t like that…Not one little bit.
Lady…It’s not that white people, rich or otherwise, think we know what’s best for BLACK or HISPANIC children…It’s that people with common sense, REGARDLESS of their skin color, know more about what’s best for ALL children than, apparently…YOU do.
Tell us…ENLIGHTEN us all, as to what your black and Latino communities have done to enrich the lives of the children living in the inner city of Chicago.
Is it the rampant drug use seen on the streets?
The exploding number of single parent families there?
Is it the growing epidemic of welfare in the black and Latino Chicago neighborhoods that is providing the much needed boost to your precious education system there?
Is it the violence that has become a way of life…and death…in those communities?
Perhaps it’s the growing percentage of unemployment.
You see, Ms. Lewis, people with common sense know that morals, employment, self-esteem, solid families, less drug and alcohol abuse, pride in one’s neighborhood and respect…SELF-respect…Respect for the property of others…RESPECT FOR LIFE and respect for American values…STARTING AT HOME…is the best thing for children.
Along with those things comes higher levels of education, better schools, better teachers…higher percentages of high school graduation and more enrollment in colleges.
The inner city doesn’t have those things in Chicago and Karen Lewis, as liberals and socialists are always want to do, blame it on racism.
Lewis claims that rich while people love the little black and brown kids but hate their parents.
“If you look at the majority of the tax base for property taxes in Chicago, they’re mostly WHITE,” says Lewis with exasperation dripping from her lips. “who don’t have a real interest in paying for the education of poor black and brown children.”
Ms Lewis, as a socialist and a liberal simply cannot fathom the idea that the “little black and brown” children have no choice when it comes to their situation while their parents have MADE their choices.
Here is exactly where the 2 quotes I told you to keep in mind, intersect.
“The problem with socialism,” said Margaret Thatcher, “is that eventually, you run out of other people’s money.”
It seems that those “rich, white people,” in Chicago, may well have been run out of their patience before they were bled dry of their money and here is the HONEST reason Ms Lewis…
They have seen what your “communities” have done with the money they’ve been given and, they can see no redeeming value in throwing MORE good money at YOUR sinking ship.
They have had enough but…Apparently…YOU haven’t.
For 50 years…HALF A CENTURY…Black and brown people in Chicago and so many other urban areas, have voted for the democrats…The liberals and now…The socialists…All one and the same.
Whatever their current moniker, democrat, liberal or socialist, one thing has remained a constant.
They, the democrats, liberals and socialists, tell the members of the black and Latino communities that they, and ONLY they, can make things better IN those communities.
Democrat after democrat…Liberal after liberal…Socialist after socialist…YOU elect them…THEY tell YOU that THEY will make YOUR lives better and then…THEY demand more and more and MORE money from those “rich white folks” you seem to hate and what has ANY if it actually DONE for those communities?
Oh, yes…You have more and easier access to food stamps and welfare now than you have ever had before…You have your Obama phones…BUT…For all the things that other people’s money can buy…Are your lives really any better now than they were 5 years ago?
20…30…or 40 years ago???
If all those democrats, liberals and socialists that you have voted for over the last 50 years were telling you the TRUTH…If they had ANY intention at ALL of DELIVERING on their promises of a better life…Your lives would be eminently better now but…for 50 years…THEY have been LYING to YOU and yet, there you are…Doing the same thing, over and over and over again…Expecting a different result.
You will vote for democrat/liberal/socialist again in the next election and in the one after that too.
Congratulations…
You’re insane.
The more your community “leaders” have demanded based on your economic position, the more you have been GIVEN. The more your community “leaders” have demanded based on the color of your skin, the more you have been GIVEN and now, having squandered it all…Karen Lewis is demanding MORE.
Those communities of which Lewis speaks are not poor because “rich white people” don’t care…They’re poor because they have come to expect that their demands for more and more and more will be met.
On what are the extortion demands of Karen Lewis and so many others based??
On the 2 tactics most commonly used by liberals and socialists.
“Give us MORE for the CHILDREN.”
“Give us MORE for the poor…BLACK AND BROWN children.”
But, it’s not about black and white as Karen Lewis, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Eric Holder, the NCCAP or any of the other lying, so-called “leaders” of your black communities want you to believe, have led you to believe or that you have bought into believing.
It’s about right and wrong.
The black communities of far too many urban areas have become ever more reliant on what their “leaders” can gain from extortion, Their “leaders” have become ever more adept at using government as their primary collection agent in that endeavor and…those in the communities wonder why the children of Chicago turn to violence and murder when it is the CHILDREN who have been used as the weapon of choice by their “leaders” to extort the money that never flows into the communities.
William John Henry Boetcker, an immigrant from Germany, whose quotes have often been ascribed to President Lincoln said, “What a different world this would be if people would listen to those who know more and not merely try to get something from those who have more.”
To paraphrase Boetcker:
It is wrong to “further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.”
And to directly quote the man:
“You cannot build character and courage by destroying men’s initiative and independence.”
“And you cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they can and should do for themselves.”
It is high time that people like Karen Lewis, Sharpton, Jackson, the NAACP, The New Black Panthers and other “leaders” of the black community realize that hundreds of thousands of white Americans paid the ultimate price for the wrongs of slavery during the Civil War and that the white Republican who pushed for and signed the Emancipation Proclamation also paid that same price.
White Republicans wrote the Civil Rights Act which would have been passed nearly a decade sooner had not a democrat, senator Lyndon Baines Johnson, not blocked it.
And it’s high time that AMERICANS in the “black community” realize that the only people who profit from the leadership of charlatans like Karen Lewis, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and far, far too many others are the charlatans themselves.
Margaret Thatcher once said, “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money,” and, according to Einstein, “Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
And then, there’s Karen Lewis: “When will there be an HONEST conversation about POVERTY…and RACISM…and inequality that hinders the DELIVERY of an education product in our school system?”
This was it Ms Lewis…This was it.
Who is listening to this lady without laughing. The elephant in the room? Kind of setting herself up for that joke. This kind of crap is getting so old. Everyone wants to blame someone else for their problems. We are blessed to be a part of this country. America is great and like others have said- if you don’t like it move to another country and see what you think. You have the freedom to do that here. We are guaranteed the right to pursue happiness, but happiness is not guaranteed. We all have problems and no one is perfect, pray for your enemies and be proud to be an American.
For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles themselves will be exalted. – Luke 14:11
Listening to Ms. Lewis, one would think that she believes that white people cannot understand what black and brown kids need. I have been taught that all people need the same things no matter what their skin color.
We’ve had the conversation. We’ve thrown trillions of dollars at “race issuues” since 1964 – and continue to do so. We don’t need to look at Europe’s socialism. We have only to look at how WE’VE redistributed wealth…and the ROI.
We could completely reverse the socio-economics: take it ALL from the “haves” and give it ALL to the “have-nots.” In a hundred years, we’d be back to where we started.
