Are we “politically correctnessing” ourselves to death?
The simple, and unavoidable answer is…
YES.
I can think of no other case that illustrates this better than the insane case of terrorist, Nidal Hasan.
Hasan, a Major at Ft. Hood, had been conversing via email with known terrorists and, it was known that he was doing this but, nobody dared say anything because…HASAN was a MUSLIM and…to be politically correct…WE HAVE TO BE TOLERANT OF MUSLIMS!!!
Over a 6 year period, Nidal Hasan worked as an intern and a resident at Walter Reed where our wounded military personnel recovered.
During that time, Hasan was always on the radar of those with whom he served because of inappropriate comments, odd behavior and his lack of socializing with others stationed there.
Did anyone say anything?
Nope.
Why not?
Because he was MUSLIM and nobody wanted to be labeled as ISLAMOPHOBIC.
It wasn’t politically correct.
Ret. Col. Terry Lee, who had served with Hasan said that after the murders of 2 recruits in Littlerock, Hasan made “outlandish” statements against the American military presence in Iraq and Afghanistan, that “the Muslims should stand up and fight against the aggressor”, referring to the United States.
Did Lee say anything at the time?
There are no reports of it because, to have done so, would have been politically incorrect.
Hasan was not married and chose to live off base and away from others in the military. This was, again, odd behavior but, had anyone made an issue of it, THEIR career may well have been in jeopardy because, THEY were being politically incorrect.
In the 11 months that preceded the shooting at Ft. Hood, Hasan traded as many as 20 emails with Anwar al-Awlaki, a known terrorist and high on that list but, counter terrorism specialists, who had read those emails, did NOT wave a red flag and instead, classified those emails as, “consistent with authorized research Major Hasan was conducting.”
In one email, Hasan told al-Awlaki, “I can’t wait to join you in the afterlife,” and he asked al-Awlaki, “When is jihad appropriate, and is it permissible if innocents are killed in a suicide attack?”
Exactly what sort of “research” leads one to tell one of the most wanted terrorists...”I can’t wait to join you in the afterlife???”
The counter terrorism experts, trained to recognize the warning signs if ever ANYONE was, declined to do anything because, Nidal Hasan was a MUSLIM and political correctness precluded them from raising the alarm.
Just 6 months before the Ft. Hood shooting, under the name of NidalHasan, all 1 word rather than 2, Hasan made internet and social media postings comparing a suicide bomber to a soldier who throws himself on a grenade to save his colleagues, and sacrifices his life for a “more noble cause.”
Federal agents DID look into this but claimed they just weren’t sure it was HIM making the postings.
You know…1 word instead of 2.
Political correctness.
No official investigation was ever opened.
AFTER the Ft. Hood shooting, investigative reporting by ABC showed that BEFORE the shooting, Hasan HAD tried to make direct contact with al Qaeda as well as having several “unexplained” contacts with others being tracked by the FBI and yet…Not a single red flag was raised.
Not one.
Thank you political correctness.
In the DAYS before his attack on Ft. Hood, Hasan began giving away his possessions.
A MUSLIM…known to have contact with TERRORISTS…known to have exhibited anti-social behavior…known to have been a vocal advocate of Muslim causes and…Known to have been a vocal protestor of Americans involved in the war in Afghanistan…ON the radar of counter terrorism experts began…GIVING AWAY HIS POSSESSIONS.
Yet another red flag and those in a position to have done SOMETHING did NOTHING because they were willingly clouded in their judgment by…
Political correctness.
On November 5th, 2009, a date which is important for reasons I will soon get to, Nidal Hasan walked into Ft. Hood, began screaming ALLAHU AKBAR and opened fire…KILLING 13 and WOUNDING 29 more before HE was shot and paralyzed.
That was the price for political correctness.
13 DEAD and 29 WOUNDED.
The political correctness crowd was far from finished with Nidal Hasan.
Barack Hussein Obama had the TERRORIST ACT labeled as “WORKPLACE VIOLENCE” because…For years, he couldn’t bring himself to utter the terms, “WAR ON TERROR” or “MUSLIM TERRORISTS.”
Political correctness would not allow a terrorist to be labeled a terrorist even in the face of reality.
Those wounded and the families of those killed, have been to this day, DENIED the benefits due those who have been wounded or killed in action against our MUSLIM ENEMIES in the theaters of war.
Make no mistake, to Nidal Hasan, FT. HOOD was HIS theater of war.
Political correctness prevents them from receiving what this country owes them.
While awaiting his trial and while his victims were denied their due, Hasan continued to gather his military pay and amassed more than $300,000.000 of it.
While awaiting his trial and while his victims were denied their due, Hasan grew a beard, thus delaying his trial for months because, as a member of the military, he was not allowed a beard but, because of political correctness, the MUSLIM Hasan was, eventually, allowed to keep his beard.
We wouldn’t want to offend the MURDERER of 13 and the WOUNDER of 29 by making him ADHERE to MILITARY regulations because…HE WAS A MUSLIM…Now would we?
Earlier, I said that the date of November 5th, 2009 was important and, here’s why.
Just yesterday, on August 23, 2013…Nidal Hasan was found GUILTY on all counts for what, to this day, is still labeled “WORKPLACE VIOLENCE.”
He was found guilty of 13 counts of MURDER but NOT TERRORISM because…To have charged Hasan as a TERRORIST would have been politically incorrect.
Now…Consider those 2 dates.
November 5th, 2009 and August 23rd, 2013.
Also consider these two dates.
December 7th, 1941 and September 2nd, 1945.
Because of political correctness…IT TOOK 22 DAYS LONGER to convict the MUSLIM Hasan who was SHOT IN THE ACT…And ADMITTED TO and CONFESSED TO his TERRORIST ATTACK on Ft. Hood than it did to DEFEAT THE JAPANESE IN THE 2ND WORLD WAR!!!!!!
THAT…Is ABSURD.
If Hasan is sentenced to death, there will be an appeal. Probably lengthy and Hasan will, most likely insist on representing himself, again offering no defense because…He wants to be a MARTYR but…If just 1 of the 13 jurors says LIFE instead of DEATH…
It’s time to drop the political correctness like a stone down the deepest well ever drilled.
He SHOULD 
be confined to a hospital bed, on suicide watch in the middle of a PIG FARM and FORCE FED pureed BACON through an IV until his cholesterol reaches CRITICAL MASS and he has a heart attack and dies at which point he should be buried beneath the world’s deepest pile of SWINE DUNG.
But that won’t happen because…It’s just not politically correct.

I want that piece of dog dirt dead, too; but on our terms — not his.
If I had my way Hasan would be ordered to the deepest administrative segregation cell at the US Disciplinary Barracks, Ft. Leavenworth, KS, wherein he would have the most minimal of human contact and sensory stimulation possible without driving him insane. Driving him mad would be a ‘cruel and unusual’ punishment and might get him released on some kind of appeal and more importantly, madness would release him from his bonds.
If I had my way, the sentence would be in two parts:
— 20 years confinement in the USDB’s maximum security, maximum isolation cell; and
— at the end of 20 years he is to be transferred to the general population at the Federal Penitentiary, Leavenworth, KS … he’d last about five days there …
If Hasan is given the death penalty the appeals will drag on for two full decades and IF the courts allow the Army to execute him Hasan will drift out on a very pleasant lethal injection … no firing squad, no rope … lethal injection is the only method of execution now prescribed in the Army capital punishment regulation & the UCMJ.
I want that vile creature to suffer every minute of his miserable existence and to then be ripped apart by the savage animals caged in the Federal Pen.
That will be justice.
