FOR GOD’S SAKE…AN ASSAULT STYLE, SEMI-AUTOMATIC WEAPON…like the AR-15…CAN BLOW UP A TRAIN and shoot planes out of the sky!!!!!
If you think THAT’S something…Jackson continued: “But these semi-automatic, military-style assault weapons — they shot at the White House two years ago, so none of us are safe.”
RUN AND HIDE…RUN AND HIDE…GET YOUR SCISSORS…NONE OF US ARE SAFE!!!!!
There are guns…shooting planes out of the sky…blowing trains to smithereens and…partnering up to shoot at the white house.
Then Jackson, in the Fox News interview…Dropped the real bombshell…

Let’s not forget what started all this today. Jesse Jackson says that guns, assault weapons, kill people, blow up trains and shoot down airplanes.
Guns do this…NOT, apparently, the people HOLDING the guns.
It was the GUN, responsible for what happened to Gabby Giffords in Tucson. It was the GUN, responsible for what took place at Virginia tech. It was the GUN, responsible for the events in that Aurora movie theater and the GUN, responsible for Sandy Hook.
In fact…more than 500 murders in Chicago last year were, now that I see clearly, the sullied actions of various GUNS…Not the people in possession of them at the moment in question.
Now, just because neither you nor I can find an example of an assault weapon shooting down an airliner nor can we find an example of a train exploding because an assault weapon took it upon itself to wreak havoc on the rails…DOESN’T MEAN IT HASN’T HAPPENED!!!
It MUST have because Jesse Jackson says that what these guns DO after all.
I still hear chuckling and this is serious now….
Jackson does have collaboration for his claims. We hear it all the time.

And it’s NOT just the shirtless 1 toothed crowd you see on “Cops” either.
Remember Plaxico Burress? The NFL star once was the butt of jokes after, it seemed, he shot himself in the leg. I’ll admit to making my fair share of Plaxico Burress jokes in 2008 but…
His contention was that the gun, illegally in his possession, simply “discharged” while tucked into the waistband of his sweatpants while he, Burress, an upstanding and stylish citizen, was at a nightclub.
Now, given the insights from Jesse Jackson and further revelations as described above by the Sacramento City Councilmember…whether loaded or not…GUNS just…DO…what the illegally owned gun in the possession of Plaxico Burress…DID and I am now chagrinned at the notion that I would make jokes at his expense.
Here, seems to be the PROOF.
Except for the jokes I made about Plaxico Burress wearing SWEATPANTS to a NIGHTCLUB in NEW YORK…Those, I will NOT take back although I do apologize for Mr. Burress’ language but, lets be honest…If YOUR illegally owned self-firing gun shot YOU and YOUR cameraman, YOU would likely say a word or two not normally heard at the Sunday Social as well.

When it comes to guns and the need for “gun control” you now have PROOF POSITIVE of the things KNOWN by liberals to be true.

The reason the Dictator is taking his “gun control” roadshow across the nation is because he knows, full well, that a gun itself could never be convicted in a court of law but…

And as I’ve said before…… Me being a member of the Democratic Socialist of America, doesn’t prevent me from taking a different stance on the Gun Control issue. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. The Left and some from the Right, are barking up the wrong tree on this issue. Taking away people’s right to own these weapons IS WRONG, and does NOTHING to help protect children….. Or anyone else.
No Craig….. I simply used them as an example of doing more than simply BLOGGING about things. Based on the number of likes, and the number of regulars that post comments on here, I am simply saying I don’t think the drum beating and posturing is doing enough. I applaud the effort Craig, but feel that it is a little futile.
And NO…… I’m not using them as a model of excellence. I’m only pointing out the fact that THEY at least got press coverage and National exposure. And here we go again with the name and political stigmas again. It IS VERY possible to have views from BOTH sides of the isle. That doesn’t make you any less capable of making INFORMED DECISIONS on one thing or another.
Joseph you are assuming a lot. How do you know what we have done or not done? As far as this being a waste of time, I completely disagree. If it wakes up a person here or there and they influence their circle of people, it’s not a waste of time. It gets spread through Twitter and FB and other sites. I’m sure Craig doesn’t write every day thinking it is a waste of time. As for me, I have been working daily in many ways, trying to wake people up. So please don’t assume because I post here that its all I do. Thank you in advance:).
I agree its a waste of time. If these ” Patriots” on here could do something besides bit h, moan, goan and complain, it might be worth the time and effort. But like most Americans, they sit around and Monday morning QB everything. At least the Occupy Movement got people to come together for a cause or two. Why don’t we ALL try pressuring our elected officials. No…. Not through letters or a Facebook column they’ve never heard of. But by a major protest on Capital Hill, moving on to the White House. Those are the things that get results.

to clarify: what hitler said was “It must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people.” Rabbi Daniel Lapin wrote the rest, about the people enduring curtailment of liberty. In Lapin’s fictional work, hitler is quoting himself from Mein Kampfe and expounds upon it with the rest of the statement. Somewhere along the way, someone mashed it together as one statement and said that Hitler wrote the whole of it and it appears in Mein Kampfe and this has been erroneously taken up as a legitimate quote. There is no doubt Hitler was a despicable human being and that he was guilty of innumerable atrocities, but he did not in fact write the whole of what is quoted above.
I just think it’s important we cling to the truth and drive away fallacy, misinformation, and other trappings that can destroy our credibility. The other side uses lying as a weapon, and they use misinformation against us, often intentionally distributing it. We are better than that and have to be vigilant to keep from getting tripped up by their games and tactics. They use any mistakes we make to further discredit us, which in turn hurts our impact in waking people up. So I meant no offense whatsoever, I just want us to be as effective as possible, because so much is riding on it.
I especially loved your interjection by the way, the chiding that this is serious business, lol. Very effective at emphasizing how preposterous their statements and ideas are. Great post!

That’s funny—-I posted a very thoughtful comment in which I agreed with almost everything you said, but pointed out the Hitler misquote and provided links to show that the quote actually came from a fictional piece written by a Rabbi just a few years ago, and that only the first sentence of it can be attributed to Hitler himself and appears in Mein Kampf. And it seems to have disappeared… ?

The quote, while used by the Rabbi, is found in the 1943 publication of Hitler’s work. It is possible that the publisher took liberties but…it is there.
It is Obama who is dividing the nation by constantly pitting groups against each other. If you don’t like the Hitler comparison, how about Mao and Stalin? It’s what Socialist/Marxists/Communists DO. Obama has pushed CLASS warfare, GENDER warfare, PARTY warfare, RELIGIOUS warfare and the list goes on and on. And they are doing it on purpose. You might want to go read a little Rules For Radicals by Alinsky. Obama taught it in college, and is employing it to divide and conquer this country. He knows that a house divided cannot stand, and is purposely doing just that. DIVIDING.

Let’s not forget about a budget plan that Congress still needs to pass, or the fact that Congress has done NOTHING in quite some time. Did they pass the proposal of NO BUDGET…… NO PAY? Or was that just another political stunt to gain votes? NO….. They would NEVER do that.

This is excellent, Craig, and how did you know I was giggling through the whole thing, except when it got very serious at the end? I sure wish people would stop being so naive and gullible! Just yesterday, I saw a comment from a young man who actually said “Someone name JUST ONE NEGATIVE THING Obama has done since he’s been President”. Today, on an article about Obama asking if military would fire on citizens, a woman said we were “fear mongering”. They have Braille for the blind, but nothing for the STUPID. I was, and am, STUNNED.
