In this presidential race, arguably the most important since 1860, Mitt Romney is gaining momentum and Obama is starting to fade.

We are but 16 days from casting ballots in a race that has easily encompassed the last 16 months.

The question is…Why? Why is Romney gaining the momentum? Why is Obama fading?

Liberals, as the hours and days go by, are getting more and more desperate.

Again…Why?

Liberals have nobody but themselves to blame for their own desperation and their candidate’s fading numbers.

From the very beginning, from the day of his nomination, Obama has been shielded from reality by the media. At least, that is the conventional wisdom. To some extent, it’s true but, I contend that it goes much, MUCH deeper than that.

Obama has rarely, very rarely, face tough questions its true. The media, a liberal lap dog media, has seen to that. They have steadfastly refused to challenge Obama and they have been quick to label those who might, as racists either by saying it themselves via their liberal media pundits or by allowing the narrative of racism itself to go unchallenged.

Think back to December 10^th, 2010. That was the day that Obama held a press conference to talk about a new tax plan compromise.

As the questions got detailed, suddenly, Obama stepped aside and left the questions to be answered by…Bill Clinton. The liberal lap dog media was all too happy to have Clinton at the podium and even peppered the formally impeached president with foreign policy questions in Obama’s absence.

On June 15^th of THIS year, Obama made public his Dream Act decree from the Rose Garden. This was a speech, not a press conference but, one reporter, Neil Munro, dared ask a question.

Obama’s response was sharply terse as he shouted Munro down for asking the question in the middle of his decree.

Indeed, Obama has rarely faced the press for questions in the run up to this election. He did so at the G20 Summit in Mexico on June 20^th and, after some chiding, again from the white house briefing room on August 20^th.

The August 20^th presser was not a smooth moment for Obama as Nancy Cordes, from CBS asked, “Are you comfortable with the tone being set with your campaign? Have you asked them to change their tone when it comes to defining Mr. Romney.”

Obama’s response was pure fib: “Well, first of all I am not sure that all of those characterizations that you laid out there were accurate. For example, nobody accused Mr. Romney of being a felon.”

One wonders how Stephanie Cutter, Obama’s designated campaign liar, felt about being referred to as “nobody” by her boss. It was Cutter, after all, who had stated clearly:  “Either Mitt Romney, through his own words and his own signature, was misrepresenting his position at Bain to the SEC, which is a felony.” 

Since that day in August, Obama and his handlers have preferred to answer only the toughest of questions posed by David Letterman, the women on The View, Jay Leno, John Stewart, somebody called, “Pimp With a Limp” and a few appearances on 60 minutes where questions are most likely scripted and those posing them are, at best, sycophants.

It’s easy to see how the all-to-willing lap dog press has protected their Emperor but, the real problem, I believe, is the other side of the coin.

The liberal bowing, scraping throngs have also been willingly cloaked in ignorance by the Imperial Guard.

For well over a year, the liberal media, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNB3 Stooges, CNN ran less than 30 seconds regarding the Fast and Furious scandal…COMBINED and it came as quite a shock to the liberally ignorant when Eric Holder was charged with contempt.

Now, we face a cover-up of epic proportions and what is the liberal electorate’s accumulated knowledge?

Their depth of knowledge barely rivals the depth of a contact lens.

So…how about general knowledge from liberals voting for Obama less than 1 month ago?

Disturbing at best.

And, thanks to liberal media and their propaganda, here’s what liberals knew on election day 2008 after they voted for Obama.

Dear God.

Separately, these videos are remarkable but, only when you view them back to back to back does the truly stunning pattern of stupidity emerge.

So…Back to the original question regarding why Obama is now sliding in the polls and Mit Romney is gaining momentum.

Because, after watching the liberal media cast Romney as a villain, a felon, a man who caused a woman to die from cancer…After watching Paul Ryan throw granny from a cliff…After hearing endless drivel about a republican war on women…After being told that Romney hates women and all he care about are rich people…On and on and on…

Independent and undecided voters have now had the opportunity to see the truth.

The debates have not only leveled the playing field, they have placed a spotlight of truth on Obama and, like  cockroaches, he, his minions, his pundits and his campaign administration are running for cover.

Truth is Kryptonite to liberals. It takes away their power to exert control over the masses and they are left with nothing but desperation.

That explains Chris Matthews and HIS latest desperate attempt to implant lies into the minds of the easily fooled.

During the debate last week, Romney was speaking while Obama was interrupting and Romney told Obama, “You’ll get your turn…”

Here is Matthews’ response: “I don’t think he understands the Constitution of the United States…He’s the president of the United States. You don’t say, ‘you’ll get your chance.’”

The facts are these…Ryan is NOT tossing granny from the cliff, Romney is NOT a felon nor did he have ANYTHING to do with a woman dying of cancer. Mitt Romney is a good and decent man. He DOES have a plan to get our economy growing again and he DOES have a plan for creating jobs by allowing private enterprise to flourish.

We’re NOT better off than we were 4 years ago…Obamacare IS the nation’s largest tax increase in history and it DOES push 12 new tax hikes on the middle class while robbing Medicare of $716 billion dollars.

Governor Romney is far more well versed in foreign policy than was Obama 4 years ago and Romney DOESN’T just care about rich people.

Thanks to the debates, people who have been fed a diet of liberal lies are now tasting the truth and there’s nothing the liberal media can do to stop it.

The real problem for Obama is that, to those that the truth matters, undecided voters, the lies have now been exposed and, in the 2 weeks between now and the election, further attempts to attack Romney and Ryan’s credibility will be met with highly skeptical eyes and ears.

Expect absolute desperation from liberals in the next 2 weeks. Expect a flurry of lies and misdirection. Expect more of the offensive remarks and tweets we’ve already seen from liberals and expect some sort of manufactured scandal to be leveled against Romney and Ryan.

That’s par for the liberal course.

Those who are formulating their final voting decisions are not going to swallow it and, in fact, it could spill their votes for house and senate seats away from the party of desperate lies and into the red column.

Many believe the defining moment of last week’s debate was the Libya question.

I don’t.

I think the Libya question WILL define tomorrow night’s debate but, the real defining moment last week was a simple 7 word statement made by Mitt Romney.

Not only did the statement lay waste to Obama’s failed economic policies of the past 4 years, it also completely dispelled all the class warfare rhetoric that Obama, liberals and the liberal media have leveled AGAINST Mitt Romney.

The difference between that rhetoric and reality was contained in the first word of the 7 word statement.

Liberals have, for more than a year, tried to implant the notion that Mitt Romney is out of touch with the average person because of his wealth. They want people to believe that there is Romney…and the rest of humanity.

Remember…It’s the FIRST word that makes all the difference.

“We don’t have to live like this.”

We…WE don’t have to live like this. Not, YOU don’t have to live like this…WE don’t have to live like this.

Like Kryptonite against the liberal lies…

And by the way, Mr. Matthews, there is no clause in the Constitution that stipulates one can not tell a president, “You’ll get your chance.”

In fact, Obama’s had his chance and…with your help, he blew it.
