After the State Department said:

“The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims — as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions,” it said. “We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others.” – From the Embassy in Cairo

“Some have sought to justify this vicious behavior, along with the protest that took place at our Embassy in Cairo yesterday, as a response to inflammatory material posted on the internet. America’s commitment to religious tolerance goes back to the very beginning of our nation. But let me be clear – there is no justification for this, none. Violence like this is no way to honor religion or faith. And as long as there are those who would take innocent life in the name of God, the world will never know a true and lasting peace.” – Hillary Clinton

“To us, to me personally, this video is disgusting and reprehensible. It appears to have a deeply cynical purpose to denigrate a great religion and provoke rage. But as we said yesterday, there is no justification — none at all — for responding to this video with violence.” – Hillary Clinton

“In Cairo, as you know, a few hours earlier, there was a violent protest that was undertaken in reaction to this very offensive video that was disseminated. We believe that folks in Benghazi, a small number of people came to the embassy to – or to the consulate, rather, to replicate the sort of challenge that was posed in Cairo.” – Susan Rice

And…

“I would simply say that … the comments that Ambassador Rice made accurately reflect our government’s initial assessment.” – Victoria Nuland

They came out in the dark of night on Tuesday and said:

That the video was to blame for the attack in Libya was… “not our conclusion.”

Then…YESTERDAY, under oath before a house committee, Ambassador Kennedy, who works for the State Department stated: “No one in the administration has claimed to know for certain all the answers. … For example, if any administration official, including any career official, were on television on Sunday, Sept. 16, they would have said what Ambassador Rice said.”

Now…HE is the one who claimed to have told the administration, ON THE DAY AFTER THE ATTACK…That the attack was a coordinated terrorist attack.

Sooooo…It was the fault of the video before it wasn’t the fault of the video but it was still blamed on the video even though the video had nothing to do with it at all???

Perhaps Jay Carney, in the white house press briefing room yesterday can clear it up for us.

“Initial assessments in the immediate aftermath of the attack in Benghazi were made and it was a government-wide assessment that the foundation of what Ambassador Rice said, what I said, and what others said… What we knew based on the limited facts we had available to us at that time.”

Perhaps not.

Also, under oath yesterday, was Charlene Lamb from the State Department who stated of her department, “We had no actionable intelligence regarding a planned attack or activities being taken against our assets in Benghazi before the attack occurred.”

Lamb made THAT statement AFTER it was revealed that in the 18 months prior to the attack…there were 234 separate attacks by terrorists in Libya including…2 attempts to assassinate the British Ambassador, the Red Cross station being fired upon which caused THEM to withdraw from Libya, 2 bombings at our consulate in Benghazi, repeated threats to the life of Ambassador Stevens and the approaching anniversary of the 9-11 attacks in the United States.

But Lamb, the deputy assistant secretary for international programs, wasn’t done.

After testimony revealed that on at least 8 occasions, direct requests for more security by both Ltc. Andrew Wood and Eric Nordstrom both of whom headed security in Libya for the Embassy and Consulate before they were sent home by the State Department, Lamb stated that, regarding security in Benghazi at the time of the attack… The Consulate, “had the correct number of assets in Benghazi at the time.”

Had apparently, an overpopulation of assHATS in Washington.

Lamb admitted, under oath, that she had never been to Libya.

Ltc Wood however, had and headed the security detail there until August when he and his men were told to go home. According to Ltc. Wood: “The security in Benghazi was a struggle and remained a struggle throughout my time there. The situation remained uncertain and reports from some Libyans indicated it was getting worse. Diplomatic security remained weak. In April there was only one U.S. diplomatic security agent stationed there. The RSO (regional security officer) struggled to obtain additional personnel there but was never able to attain the numbers he felt comfortable with.”

When Rep. Dan Burton asked Lamb if SHE had denied requests for MORE security in Benghazi, Lamb responded: “Yes sir, I said personally I would not support it. We were training local Libyans and army men to provide security.”

Why? Because it’s been working so well in Afghanistan?

In what may well have been the most stunning moments of the hearing, Charlene Lamb looked like a deer in the headlights under questioning by Rep. Sandy Adams from Florida.

Dear GOD…Has the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for International Programs…The very person charged with managing the security at every single United States diplomatic outpost around the world…ever HEARD of 9-11 or al Qaeda????

Eric Nordstrom then said of the requests for more security: “I told the same Regional Director in a telephone call in Benghazi after he contacted me when I asked for 12 agents, his response to that was ‘You’re asking for the sun, moon, and the stars.’  And my response to him- his name’s Jim- ‘Jim, you know what is the most frustrating about this assignment, it’s not the hardships, it’s not the gunfire, it’s not the threats. It’s dealing, and fighting, against the people, programs, and personnel who are supposed to be supporting me.”

And then…THIS from Nordstrom:  “And I added (sic) it by saying, ‘For me the Taliban is on the inside of the building.”

THAT was the bombshell that ended yesterday’s hearing.

When the professionals hired to secure the Embassy, the Consulate and our diplomats in Libya begged for more security, the State Department instead, DECREASED the number of security personnel and testified yesterday that there were the proper number of assets in Benghazi at the time of last month’s attack.

Yesterday, at the hearing, neither State Department official would call the attack a terrorist attack nor would they call the perpetrators terrorists.

The State Department said they had no actionable intelligence regarding an attack despite 234 previous attacks in the 18 months leading to September 11^th BUT, as they decreased security personnel, they offered to INCREASE the hazard pay for those who remained.

There is a 50 minute video showing the events occurring before and during the terrorist attack which shows NO riot or demonstration taking place before the deadly attack but THAT video has NOT been turned over to the House Oversight Committee.

Last night, the head of security for our Embassy in Yemen, a man who had worked at that Embassy for 20 years and who was currently working to expose those responsible for al Qaeda attacks on that very Embassy in the last year, Qassem Aqlani…was assassinated while on his way to work.

3 days ago, Obama said, “Now, four years ago, I made a few commitments to you. I told you I’d end the war in Iraq, and I did. I said I’d end the war in Afghanistan, and we are. I said we’d refocus on the people who actually attacked us on 9/11 — and today, al Qaeda is on its heels and Osama bin Laden is no more.”

Perhaps he should ask Ambassador Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty, Tyrone Woods and Qassem Aqlani if THEY’RE better off than THEY were 4 years ago.

While this administration continues to cover up their policies of appeasement disasters by sweeping them under a prayer rug, it time for US to clean house from top to bottom on November 6th.
