If you look at a Monet with a magnifying glass, it looks like a collection of brightly colored blotches.

As congressional hearings into the Libya disaster and cover-up get under way today, I believe that to really understand the mindset that led to the deaths of 4 Americans in Benghazi, we must stand back from the painting a little.

With the republican primary season in full swing, team Obama had to know that they would be unable to run by defending their fiscal record. Unemployment was still way too high…food stamp usage was at its highest point in history and rising…Gas prices were out of hand and rising…Obama had never managed to pass a budget…Our credit had been downgraded for the first time in history…GDP was struggling and nearly on life support…The debt clock was going like a bat out of hell…Stimulus hadn’t worked…Obamacare was on the ropes…Manufacturing was way down…Incomes were way down…

You get the picture.

How does one run on THAT? How does one DEFEND that???

The date was April 26^th, 2012.

Joe Biden was speaking in NYC.

That’s the first time I can find that he uttered the phrase: “Bin Laden is dead and General Motors is alive.”

It had been 11 months since Navy Seals killed bin Laden and with the economy, jobs and everything domestic going down the toilet…Obama needed something…SOMETHING…upon which to hang his dunce cap.

Foreign policy.

Bin Laden was dead…never mind GM.

Obama had “Led from behind” and Gaddafi was dead.

The Arab Spring had thrown Mubarak from power in Egypt and “democracy” was the word of the day in Cairo.

Team Obama had droned several al Qaeda terrorists into little puddles of goo and the FBI had “stopped” how many terrorist actions inside the U.S. that the FBI themselves had supplied the “weapons” for to begin with?

Yes. Foreign Policy. THAT would be Obama’s campaign calling card. Foreign policy.

Never Mind Reality.

We were out of Iraq, that much was true but never mind that the vacuum left by our politically timed departure was being filled by Iranian Islamists and other assorted bad guys.

We were GETTING out of Afghanistan and we told the world WHEN we would leave. Never mind all the green on blue attacks and the growing threat of the Taliban. The Taliban, Biden told us, was not, “per sey” the enemy.

In Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood whom Obama insisted have a seat at the table had promised NOT to run for the presidency in that land. Never mind that they WERE running for leadership of Egypt and would like to see the 30 some year old Egypt/Israel peace accord torn to shreds.

And Libya. Well…We led the way from behind and most likely provided weapons to the rebels opposed to Gaddafi. Never mind that we never really knew who those rebels were until they raised the black flag of al Qaeda over the courthouse in Benghazi.

Nothing to see here, there or anywhere in the Middle East or North Africa. Keep moving. Go about your normal day and don’t look suspicious.

THAT had to be the clarion directive from the Obama campaign administration.

6 months. All they had to do was hang on for 6 months. It’s April 26^th, 2012. “Bin Laden’s DEAD and GM is ALIVE!!!”

The Obama campaign administration had what they thought was a winner. Repeat it. Repeat it often. Draw attention away from the indefensible economy and refocus it on…Foreign Policy.

There was to be a movie released making Obama appear as the hero behind the heroes of the bin Laden raid and that movie was scheduled to be in theaters in mid October…2 weeks from the election!!!

No matter what you think is hiding in the graveyard, just keep whistling as you pass.

The Obama campaign administration could, in NO WAY, be seen as having a need to INCREASE security where his greatness had led a victory from behind. Records now show that Patrick Kennedy from the State Department told the white house it WAS a terrorist attack less than 24 hours later.

Blame it on a You Tube video. Apologize. Sound sincere. Send our U. N. Ambassador to 5 Sunday shows to blame it on the video. Send the FBI to Libya to treat it as a crime scene.

CBS journalist and reporter, Lara Logan has now stated: “There is this narrative coming out of Washington for the last two years. It is driven in part by “Taliban apologists,“ who claim ”they are just the poor moderate, gentler, kinder Taliban.

It’s such nonsense!”

And regarding Obama, Logan stated: “You’re not listening to what the people who are fighting you say about this fight. In your arrogance, you think you write the script.”

What Logan is saying, and she should know, is that there IS NO kinder, gentler Taliban…THEY WANT US DEAD AND ALWAYS HAVE. THEY DON’T RESPECT OBAMA…THEY SEE HIM AS WEAK AND INEFFECTUAL.

And al Qaeda? They’re NOT on their heels…THEY ARE REBUILDING, THEY’VE EXECUTED 140 ATTACKS IN THE REGION IN THE LAST YEAR AND…THEY ARE NOW EMBOLDENED BY OBAMA’S DECISION TO WRITE A SCRIPT AND HIDE BEHIND A YOU TUBE VIDEO REGARDING THE ATTACK IN BENGHAZI!!!

And last night, on the eve of the congressional hearing, despite Hillary Clinton’s statements, despite Susan Rice’s claims on 5 Sunday shows and despite Victoria Nuland backing up Rice’s comments by stating: “I would simply say that … the comments that Ambassador Rice made accurately reflect our government’s initial assessment,” , a State Department Spokesman said of the “It was the fault of a You Tube Video” script…“That was not our conclusion.”

And, in the stark face of reality, Obama stood at a rally on Monday and said…

“Now, four years ago, I made a few commitments to you. I told you I’d end the war in Iraq, and I did. I said I’d end the war in Afghanistan, and we are. I said we’d refocus on the people who actually attacked us on 9/11 — and today, al Qaeda is on its heels and Osama bin Laden is no more.”

How desperate IS the Obama campaign administration? Where IS that photo of the dead bin Laden anyway? Damn it…Where’s the video from the raid??
