It was just 4 years ago that things were SO different.
What happened?
That is the question which must be haunting Obama night and day.
4 years ago, he was a rock star and today, a has been.
4 years ago, anything that had anything to do with him was a mob scene with people pushing and shoving to just get a glimpse. Even if they couldn’t get close enough to see, they could say they were there.
Last week, in his Windy City, a fund raiser was, like his glass, half empty.
Perhaps it was the price of admission.
$51.00 per head.
That’s right, Obama only managed to half fill a room at just fifty one bucks per person. That would have NEVER happened just 4 years ago.
4 years ago, women “fainted” at the mere sight of him or the sound of his voice. They passed out and somehow, it was always caught on camera.
People “cried” in the streets in North Korea at the news of Kim’s death too.
Just sayin’.
So far, in this election cycle, Obama has done 205 appearances. No “fainting.”
What happened??
4 years ago, it was all “Hope and Change” and “Change We Can Believe In.”
Today its, “Forward.”
“Forward?” When the economy is in reverse? “Forward” when unemployment is higher than he promised it would be if only he were allowed to spend a trillion dollars?
Aside from being a bumper sticker, “Hope and Change” sounded optimistic. “Forward” sounds like a marching order.
“Hope and change” like Obama’s star power, has faded away and now seems as empty as his suit.
4 years ago, Obama talked about spreading the wealth. Remember that? Now, Mr. “Spread the Wealth” has presided over the greatest increase in food stamp usage in history and there are more Americans than ever collecting welfare.
“Spread the wealth” has turned into “Share the Poverty.”
What Happened???
4 years ago, Obama was coronated at a lavish convention complete with Greek pillars in the Mile High city.
This time, his convention has been cut down from 4 days to 3 and many of his union faithful are seeing red because it’s being held in a non union state.
4 years ago, Obama walked on water.
Today, more and more business owners and home owners are under water.
What happened????
4 years ago, Obama was saying that raising the debt ceiling was unpatriotic and a clear sign of a lack of leadership.
Now, he’s managed to add more to the debt that all the presidents before him combined.
4 years ago, Obama said, “In these challenging times, when we are facing both rising deficits and a sinking economy, budget reform is not an option. It is an imperative. We cannot sustain a system that bleeds billions of taxpayer dollars on programs that have outlived their usefulness, or exist solely because of the power of a politicians, lobbyists, or interest groups. We simply cannot afford it. This isn’t about big government or small government. It’s about building a smarter government that focuses on what works. That is why I will ask my new team to think anew and act anew to meet our new challenges…. We will go through our federal budget – page by page, line by line – eliminating those programs we don’t need, and insisting that those we do operate in a sensible cost-effective way.”
But, from that day in November of 2008 until today, Obama has never passed a budget to go through, line by line. In fact, his budgets
have never garnered a single vote in the senate. He blames congress but, in those first 2 years, his own party controlled both the house and the senate and still, not a single budget passed.
What happened??
4 years ago, Obama said this of gas prices: “Washington’s failure to lead on energy and it’s turning the middle-class squeeze into a devastating vise-grip for millions of Americans. For the well-off in this country, high gas prices are mostly an annoyance, but to most Americans they’re a huge problem, bordering on a crisis.”
But that was then and this is now. Today, gas prices are more than double what they were when Obama took office.
4 years ago, Obama said his healthcare bill would not be a tax and that it would not raise taxes on any American…not one thin dime.
Now, the United States Supreme Court says Obamacare IS a tax and it includes 21 brand new taxes making it the largest single tax hike in American history.
4 years ago, Obama slammed his opponent’s negative campaigning saying, “When You Have Run Out Of Ideas, Then You Try 
To Destruct And Make Big Elections About Small Things” Criticizing “The Slash And Burn, Say-Anything, Do- Anything Politics That’s Calculated To Divide And Distract, To Tear Us Apart Instead Of Bringing Us Together.”

4 years ago, Obama called Small Businesses the “Backbone of America and the backbone of our economy.”
And now…NOW he says, “If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”
He promised jobs and appointed a Job’s Council but hasn’t met with them in 8 months.
He accuses Romney of being an out-sourcer but he appointed a Jobs Creation adviser who outsourced an entire division of his company to China.
He promised “We’ll create 5 million new, high-wage jobs by investing in the renewable sources of energy that will eliminate the oil we currently import from the Middle East in 10 years,” and the green energy companies he invested OUR money in keep going bankrupt. In fact, the green energy jobs he HAS “created” have cost the American taxpayers nearly $1 million dollars per job with green energy providing less than 2% of our energy.
He told us, “We’ll create 2 million jobs by rebuilding our crumbling roads, schools, and bridges,” and then had to admit that, “Shovel-ready was not as … uh .. shovel-ready as we expected.”
Bring up as many similar examples as you can, and there is nearly an endless list, and ask the question Obama will be asking on November 6th.
What happened?
The answer is simple.
Obama happened.
