Last Monday, in North Carolina, the state legislature was holding their most contentious vote of the entire session.
Earlier, the legislature had voted to ALLOW fracking to retrieve more natural gas from under tera firma but, Governor Bev Perdue VETOED that measure.
You remember Bev Perdue…
Last September, it was BEV who floated a trial balloon on behalf of the Emperor when she blathered, “I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover. I really hope that someone can agree with me on that. You want people who don’t worry about the next election.”
Okay so, because natural gas IS NOT a liberal/socialist high five source of energy BECAUSE we have PLENTY of it underground and it might help us become ENERGY INDEPENDENT…
BEV PERDUE VETOED IT.
Then came the vote to OVERRIDE THAT VETO ON MONDAY NIGHT!!!
As North Carolina legislators cast their votes…It was CLOSE and it CAME DOWN TO ONE…
WITH THE VOTE TIED AND NEEDING JUST ONE MORE VOTE TO ALLOW FRACKING AND JUST ONE MORE LEGISLATOR LEFT TO VOTE…

THEN ASK FOR THE RULES OF THE NORTH CAROLINA LEGISLATURE BE SUSPENDED…JUST FOR HER…SO THAT SHE COULD RECAST HER VOTE!!!
Well…Speaker Thom Tillis, a REPUBLICAN to whom ruled DO mean something…said…NOPE…to which Carney replied…
“This late at night, tired and an important vote of this magnitude I should have been allowed that courtesy.”
Really?
WAS IT LATE AT NIGHT FOR JUST YOU, BECKY, OR WAS IT LATE AT NIGHT FOR EVERYBODY??
