Tomorrow is reelection day in Wisconsin. REELECTION DAY.
Forget the RECALL, it’s not going to happen.
When Scott Walker was running in 2010, he knew his state was on the edge of the abyss. He knew the financial disaster looming would be bad and he ran on a platform of making substantial decisions aimed at pulling Wisconsin away from the brink.
Walker said that collective bargaining of public sector unions had to go. Wisconsin could no longer afford them. Walker said that union Members would have to start paying for a portion of their own pension programs for the same reason…Wisconsin could no longer afford to foot the full bill.
Walker won that election over his liberal rival, Tom Barrett.
Once he became the Governor OF Wisconsin, Walker set about putting into place exactly what he said he would when he was a candidate.
His actions, and those of his conservative majority in the state legislature set ablaze the liberal/socialist machine.
The state capitol in Madison was besieged by liberals, socialists, unions and their thugs. 8 million dollars in damage was done to the building and grounds. Teachers pulled students from classes and took them to protest against Walker without their parent’s permission. Doctors provided fake sick notes to any who were missing work to protest against Walker.
14 liberal/socialist Wisconsin senators cut and ran out of the state and went into hiding to avoid voting on Walker’s reforms.
And then, THEN, the liberal/socialist element in Wisconsin decided to RECALL their Governor, Lt. Governor and 4 conservative senators.
Naturally, the fundraising arm of the recall challenge was provided by the unions.
The most stunning part of the decision to attempt a recall of Governor Walker was because as Governor, Walker did exactly what he said he would do as Candidate Walker. Wisconsin voters heard the candidate’s message and elected him based ON that message.
It must of come as quite a shock to liberal/socialists…An elected official doing exactly what he said he would do as a candidate.
What’s worse for the liberal/socialists, in Wisconsin and nationally, is that the measures implemented by GOVERNOR Walker are working exactly as CANDIDATE Walker said they would.
From the brink of a statewide financial disaster, the Walker measures have now saved state and local governments $1 billion dollars and by this time next year, the state budget office has stated that Wisconsin will be showing a $154 million dollar surplus. Under the Walker reforms, Wisconsin is adding jobs…Not because the GOVERNMENT is creating them but because private enterprise feels more secure with government getting out of their business to open the door to job creation.
As for the Wisconsin unions, well, once it became law, and the people of the state could decide for themselves whether or not 
they would belong to a union, union membership has dropped. More and more are opting OUT of union membership in Wisconsin.
So…What are liberals, socialists and unions to do?
Simple, attempt a recall to remove Walker from office before any more success can take place.
Nationally, what unions fear most is that people might realize making their own choices is a better way to go and the fact that unions only do what’s best for the unions, not their members and clearly, not what’s best for people in general.
Don’t think so?
Just remember the words of Albert Shanker who headed the United Federation of Teachers from 1964-1984:
“When school children start paying union dues, that ‘s when I’ll start representing the interests of school children.”
To the unions, money is power and as people in Wisconsin leave the unions, less money flows in and their grip on power is diminished.
Nationally, we are experiencing the polar opposite of the Walker reforms.
Obama and his liberal/socialist regime have added more to the national debt than all 43 previous presidents combined. Obama and his liberal/socialist regime have advocated larger government and more entitlements. Obama and his liberal/socialist regime have watched unemployment rise. Obama and his liberal/socialist regime want to raise taxes higher and higher, not to balance the budget but to increase spending.
Budget? What budget? Obama hasn’t had a budget since he entered office.
The Tea Party stood solidly with Walker in Wisconsin during his 2010 campaign and they continue to do so today and for a very good reason. The Tea Party could see then and now that the Walker reforms work.
This is why what will happen in Wisconsin tomorrow is of national importance.
Less government interference, small government, individual choice, personal responsibility, strong entitlement reform, and a pro private enterprise stance are turning Wisconsin around and pulling them away from the brink of disaster.
The same will work o
n a national scale as well.
Polar opposites, remember?
Those opposed to Governor Walker and his policies in Wisconsin and want him recalled are FOR Obama and HIS policies and want HIM reelected.
Walker’s policies are a success in Wisconsin.
Obama’s policies are a disaster nationally.
Walker is creating a budget surplus in Wisconsin.
Obama is creating record debt nationally.
Walker’s policies are allowing for job creation in Wisconsin.
Obama’s policies saw another rise in unemployment nationally.
Walker’s approach is opening the door for business investment in Wisconsin.
Obama’s job creation adviser sent a major division of his company, GE, to China.
Walker’s reforms in Wisconsin are diminishing the power of unions to control government.
Obama is relying on union money to fund his reelection campaign.
In Wisconsin, liberals in the senate minority, ran away to avoid voting on the measures proposed by Walker.
In Washington, Obama’s liberal majority in the senate simply puts those same measures, propos
ed by conservatives, on a dusty senate shelf and refuses to bring them to any vote at all.
Tomorrow is MORE than reelection day in Wisconsin for Governor Scott Walker. Tomorrow is referendum day for Obama’s national liberal/socialist policies.
Tomorrow, they will vote in Wisconsin.
In November we will vote as a nation.
The names, Walker vs Barrett and Romney vs Obama will be different.
The ideology will be the same.
Success vs Failure.
50 years ago I would have been a solid union man. Back when unions formed they were needed to protect the workers from some pretty nasty working conditions. As time passed employers realized that by treating their workers fairly, resullted in happier more loyal employees. This in itself was more profitable as unions and their demands were no longer needed and the employers no longer had to fund them. Employees became more productive, knowing that the company they worked for kept employee working conditions and pay part of company policy.
Employers today generally offer decent pay and benefit packages to employees, not because they want to be good guys, but because it is profitable to do so, rather than deal with greedy mostly unreasonable unions.
Public service employees such as police, firefighter, and government (at any level) employees should never be unionized. Making demands on a private company is not the same as public service. I strongly believe police and firefighters need to be properly compensated for their efforts. But they should never be allowed to ransom their services on the people they took an oath to protect. We the people also always need to remember that these people are putting their lives on the line for us and it is our obligation to them to see that they are compensated fairly.
The unions , Walker’s biggest nemesis, exposed themselves over the past year in Wisconsin as Marxist radicals and fascists. Who the hell would want to turn their state over to the control of people like that? Walker will almost certainly win tomorrow by a decisive majority because if you are anyone but a Marxist sympathizer or radical the current alternative to Walker is just not acceptable. The unions behaved so abominably in demonstration after demonstration in Wisconsin, it is difficult to believe anyone there would trust them enough to cast a ballot on their behalf.
ON WISCONSIN
Tomorrow will be a great day in our history if there’s no voter fraud
Unions have outlived their past usefulness. I will admit that unions have helped to improve working conditions, etc. But, that day and age is done.
The major problems of unions, are, that they have become big businesses. High salaries to union bosses, (ripped off the burdened backs of union employees) are not uncommon. Also, unions have become selfish enterprises, forcefully exacting unreasonable and huge sums of money from their forced union membership employees, to fund partisan politics.
But, perhaps, the worst abuse of unions is the same abuse which government of all levels have forced upon ordinary and rank-in-file Americans, – that being, political extortion:
