Liberal/socialist strategist Hillary Rosen had this to say last night regarding Mitt Romney’s wife, Ann.
“His wife has actually never worked a day in her life. She’s never really dealt with the kinds of economic issues that a majority of women in this country are facing.”
Wow…Out of the blue?
Hardly.
“Well, you know, I don’t know Laura Bush. But she seems to be calm, and she has a sparkle in her eye, which is good. But I don’t know that she’s ever had a real job — I mean, since she’s been grown up.”
-Teresa Heinz Kerry slamming Laura Bush
“I suppose I could have stayed home and baked cookies and had teas, but what I decided to do was to fulfill my profession which I entered before my husband was in public life.”
-Hillary Clinton in 1992 slamming stay at home wives and Moms
No…Not out of the blue by ANY means. In fact…it’s a time worn liberal mantra.
Oh…they MEAN to aim it directly at CONSERVATIVE women but seriously…it’s a slam on all women but they’re just hoping liberal/socialist women give them a war on women waiver.
In the world of liberal women, apparently, the only women with a say or valid opinion regarding economics are women who either garner a salary or work in community service.
But what’s this? Too much emphasis on salaried jobs??? Really???
Yep. Just ask Michelle Obama.
“But careers in public service are not always encouraged. We push our young people to strive for things, an advanced degree, a job title, a big salary. Rarely do we urge them to stop and think about what their passion is, what kind of life they want to live, what kind of neighbors and colleagues and parents they want to be. In doing so, we, as a society, often miss out on their creativity, their inventiveness, their resourcefulness and some really good ideas!”
So, is Michelle Obama saying those who choose unsalaried positions, like…PARENTS, are just as valuable as those who seek a job title?
Sure sounds like it.
What liberal/socialists count on is that nobody will start connecting the dots. They don’t expect anybody to remember what they said a month ago or a couple of years ago and they certainly don’t expect anybody to use their very own words to show their hypocrisy.
HELLO???
While other rightly stand for stay at home moms…pointing out how raising 5 kids, as Ann Romney did IS…REAL…WORK…allow me to connect a couple of other dots for you.
By trotting out Rosen, at this time, to make this asinine statement…liberals have provided a clear insight into their empty, valueless sense of worth.
In the vacuum of liberal values…It is VIRTUOUS to be a 30-year-old college slut needing $3000 worth of birth control provided to you by the American taxpayer. The SLUT deserves to be heard in a congressional hearing convened JUST for HER and the WORLD should hang on every word that emanates from her mouth. The opinions of the SLUT drip with truth and ALL of America should take them to heart.
On the other hand…
The woman who believes the most important JOB she will ever have the privilege of holding is the raising of 5 children is clueless. The woman who stayed at home and instilled into her children American values while sheltering them from a prying public because of her family’s high profile position and made them pillars of their community could not possibly have anything of value to say regarding issues of the day. The words emanating from the mouth of the stay-at-home mom should not be listened to by even her husband and certainly can’t be any more valid than the sound made by Charlie Brown’s teacher.
Did slamming stay-at-home moms work for the liberals when Teresa Heinz Kerry did it?
Did it work for liberals when Hillary Rodham Clinton did it?
If doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome is the sure sign of insanity, the case could well be made that it’s time for liberals to be taken away in straightjackets.
Hillary Rosen is nothing but the latest tool of the liberal/socialist machine. Her butt-stupid statement, “His wife has actually never worked a day in her life. She’s never really dealt with the kinds of economic issues that a majority of women in this country are facing,” regarding Ann Romney was nothing more than an act of desperation by the Obama reelection team and, as soon as this trial balloon failed, they threw her under the bus.
Make no mistake, I am not defending Ann Romney. Not because she doesn’t deserve defending, but because she is more than strong enough to defend herself. She’s a mom and a grandmother for God’s sake.
What I AM doing is pointing out the INDEFENSIBLE position of the liberal/socialist fools.
I believe there is a great deal to be gained by hearing the opinions of stay-at-home moms and conservative women in general as I doubt that ANY job could be more REAL than the job of being a parent.
When it comes to listening to entitled sluts…Putting stock in what the valueless and virtue depraved have to say… liberals are aces.
I raised 4 children and have worked for a living since 1987 (sometimes two jobs to help make ends meet). I have a daughter that is raising a child own her own and going to College, a daughter that is raising two children and works in a Nursing and Rehab Center while her husband drives a 18 wheeler cross country for a living, I have a son that drives a dump truck for a living and keeps his three children while his wife is at work, and my youngest son has serviced 4 years in the Marines. Tell me that there is REALLY a difference in a stay at home Mom and a Working Mom. I will tell you flat out that the only difference is a working Mom just has more jobs to juggle and less time for herself.
..what a load of rubbish this article is… this is just another way the Right Winged fanatics try to portray the Left..it is grossly inaccurate and full of crap.. again calling Ms. Fluke a slut because she wanted her PRESCRIPTION covered by insurance, NOT free, another lie by the right, is pretty slimy. The point you are missing has nothing to do with stay at home moms that have chosen to do without extras to raise their kids, it has to do with the fact ROMNEY brought his wife into it as an example.. a very bad one.. no one said ANYTHING about raising kids being easy or not as hard or harder than any outside job, what was said was she is a poor example of a stay at home mom…she doesn’t HAVE to work as so many other mothers do, myself included..I don’t have the luxury of choice…I HAVE to work in order to make ends meet (thanks GWB) I WAS a stay at home mom, once upon a time, but that choice was taken away from me…this article just shows, yet again, how out of touch with reality the GOP and the Right truly are… and Jennifer, one of my sons served 7 years in the Marines and is now in college to become a doctor, the other is about to graduate from college with a degree in city planning, business, and statistics, my daughter is an honor student, student leader, and premier soccer player…I am happy you were able to stay home with your children..but I KNOW your children are not any better than mine..even though I have had to work… there is not one person I know, work with, or call friend, that has EVER put down stay at home moms.. doesn’t happen.. just don’t use some rich mom as an example of someone that knows about my life and struggles… when she doesn’t have a clue about real life hardship and the middle class..
Jennifer, it’s all about what fulfills the woman, not what’s best for the kids. They were pampered and spoiled as children, given everything they wanted, often with their parents off working and fulfilling their own egos, and are continuing the cycle. That’s how I see the homosexual lifestyle (Ms Rosen’s “family” included twins, a boy and a girl, and a “partner”), as a way to indulge yourself and your wants, no matter what.
Is there a comparative word for “slut” for men? If not, we need to start one, just to show how stupid it is. Makes me wonder why nobody is complaining about using the “bitch” word anymore. Like it or not, Hillary Rosen has chosen a different path for her life, one that I can’t understand or approve of. But then, she didn’t ask me what I thought. What I DO know is that she makes no apologies for it, and God will judge her.
well said!!!! I have been a stay at home mom for over 19 years now… it is a great JOB!! I think we tend to raise better citizens than those who are not with their kids as much while they are growing up…..
I don’t agree with any woman being called a slut. I agree with your point about feminist hypocrisy, but can’t get past the language you used to make that point.
