Seer, Soothsayer?

A man with an all too uncommon sense of common sense?

Booker T. Washington was not only right, he was foretelling the future.

In the wake of the Trayvon Martin “event” in Florida, we now have a plethora of fools trying to cash in on the tragedy.

Booker T. may as well have been talking directly about Jesse Jackson and/or Al Sharpton. These guys, and others like them, are tragedy chasers. They run hither and yon, hop scotching about the country, and occasionally overseas, attaching themselves to one tragic event after another but…only where the victims look like them, from a distance.

Sharpton has vowed, “We’re going to have a full blown occupation of Sanford with tents and everything over Easter weekend until [authorities] either arrest George Zimmerman, or arrest us for praying for his arrest,” and has called on those around the country to, “wear hoodies instead of Easter outfits to church on Easter Sunday.”

You don’t suppose the self aggrandizing Sharpton will seek out the cameras and mics over Easter Weekend do you?

Thinking of the words of Booker T. Washington above…were it not for “events” involving those of the same race as Sharpton, how WOULD this guy make a living?

Jesse Jackson? Oh yes, he’s in Sanford Florida too…by coincidence I’m sure. Jesse let loose THIS rant:

“Trayvon is martyr, he’s not coming back, he’s a martyr, murdered and martyred,” said Jackson Sunday. “Now we must illuminate the darkness with the light that comes from the martyr.”

And…

“Blacks are under attack. Targeting, arresting, convicting blacks and ultimately killing us is big business. No justice, no peace.”

Hmmm…One would think that those who stick, “Reverend” in front of their names would show a little more…reverence…wouldn’t you?

People like Jackson and Sharpton make a living and pad their resumes off the “events” involving THEIR skin color but, don’t call THEM racists.

Regarding the Travon Martin “event” Sharpton and Jackson are not alone.

Spike Lee tweeted what he THOUGHT was George Zimmerman’s address and urged his quarter of a million followers to “reach out and touch him.” The problem is…it wasn’t Zimmerman’s address and now, the 70 something year old couple who live at that address have fled their home for a hotel because they fear for their well being if not their lives.

Smooth move Spike but…ya got your name in the papers didn’t you?

Good grief…Travon Martin’s MOTHER is cashing in too. SHE has applied for trademark protection on “I Am Trayvon”  and “Justice for Trayvon.” It seems she wants the rights to CD’s, DVD’s t_shirts and Hoodies bearing those phrases.

My, oh my…If only Rosa Parks would have trademarked “Sit in the front of the bus” merchandise.

It’s shameful.

But wait…There’s MORE…

Somebody is cashing in by selling “Pussy Ass Cracker” T-Shirts featuring a picture of George Zimmerman, the guy who shot and killed Trayvon Martin. “Pussy ass cracker” apparently a line from lyrics of rapper Plies’s song “100 Years.”

Well, at least they didn’t include “I Am Trayvon” thus successfully dodging a possible trademark infringement suit. Yo…Plies…Dog…YOU seen this???

More? Okay.

R&B legend, Chaka Khan along with  Eric Benet, Kelly Price, Kenny Lattimore and a handful of other celebs have a TRIBUTE song out all about…Trayvon. What they’re doing with the proceeds is unknown but…You KNOW Chaka been lookin’ for a hit.

I wonder if Spike directed THAT?

How about Louis Farrakhan? Oh yes…Lou weighed in on HIS twitter account… “Where there is no justice, there will be no peace. Soon the law of retaliation may very well be applied #Trayvon” And… “Let us see what kind of justice will come for his bereaved family and our bereaved community.”

Well we do all know just how oh-so-tolerant the Nation of Islam is don’t we?

Not to be left out, the New Black Panther Party (same as the OLD Black Panther Party) who has been given a license to do whatever they want by a guy who believes anyone who disagrees with him is a racist,  has put out a hit on Zimmerman offering a dead or alive $10,000.00 bounty. Why…It’s been nearly 4 years since the New Black Panthers haven’t done anything wrong.

Now, THAT can’t possibly be seen as a racist move. I mean, it’s not like they’re wearing bed sheets and pointy hoods.

Then of course, we have the New York Times…

They’re promoting a racial aspect in this Trayvon Martin “event” by referring to the shooter, George Zimmerman as a “White Hispanic.”

A White Hispanic? Really? What exactly IS a White Hispanic?

Not to be left out, our first elected White Black man president said that if he had a son, he could imagine him looking like Trayvon Martin. Looking like which Trayvon Martin we’re not really sure. The Trayvon Martin who looks like the innocent Michael from “Good Times” or the one who looks like a thug wanna be that was seen all over his Facebook page?

Our White Black man president is making political hay on this one.

On the other side of the fence, there is the Reverend CL Bryant. This guy USED to be an NAACP big shot in Texas before he just couldn’t take it any more. Bryant saw what was happening and he didn’t like it. Bryant was on the Contagious Transformation radio show last night with Stacy M. Swimp when he said that HIS grandparents did NOT raise him to be a black man…They raised him to be FREE.

Swimp, for HIS part has stated, “There are no permanent boundaries around us that we do not place around ourselves.”

Seems to me that Swimp and Bryant and those like them are living and walking in the shoes of Booker T. Washington…Possessing an uncommon sense of common sense.

It seems to me if all those rushing to cash in on the Trayvon Martin “event” had the mindset of Stacy Swimp and CL Bryant, we’d get to the bottom of all this instead of getting to the bottom of the barrel.

Those who continue to post in social media, examples of black on black crimes, black on white crimes, black on white Hispanic crimes, black on Asian Indian Middle Eastern whatever crime are NOT helping the situation.

Wise up.

Obama wants a race war or uprising to take the focus off HIS inadequacies and each and every such post, while intended to highlight the hypocrisy of it all, is adding gas to Obama’s fire.

All of these people, in one way or another, are cashing in on racism via black exploitation. I THOUGHT black exploitation was a form of racism.

Yes? No?

Of course, is all this DOES devolve into a race war…our first White Black man President will have to kick his own ass.

Finally…A way to make money from all this to which I would gladly contribute.
