Yesterday, we at The National Patriot, brought you breaking news before Senator Ben Nelson announced his “retirement” and that he will not run in 2012. We then added to that blast with an update a couple of hours later. You can read that piece by clicking here.

Now, we know a little more regarding his announcement.

Suffice it to say that Nebraskans have been STEAMED at Nelson since the Cornhusker Kickback and obviously, the support for Nelson in Big Red country was down to zero.

Now, as he made that announcement yesterday, a singular line bears notice.

“The Tea Party must be stopped.”

This is a VERY important line and one which needs to be analyzed.

In uttering this line during his conference call, Nelson has allowed us into the secret behind closed door DNC agenda.

Okay, it’s not all that secret but, it’s an agenda many liberals have been trying to hide.

Remember old Harry Reid? Remember when, not so long ago, Reid claimed the Tea Party was…well…lets let HIM tell it.

“I don’t think the Tea Party had the vigor and support that people thought it would.”

Reid made that inane comment on Meet the Press last January where he also went on to say that he believed the Tea Party would, “vanish as soon as the economy gets better, and the economy is getting better all the time.”

Now…Contrast THAT with Ben Nelson’s quip…”The Tea Party must be stopped.”

Clearly Nelson, who is now a man with nothing to lose, is expressing the true concern the DNC has regarding the Tea Party.

Why must the Tea Party be stopped? Ahhhhh…That is a QUESTION.

Perhaps the best answer can be found in a well known and often repeated phrase.

“Knowledge is power.”

Even though separate Tea Party groups have varying details of the issues, one thing the Tea Party does well…TOO well for the liking of liberals, is spread knowledge.

The Tea Party has become a go to source for voting records not only of the GOP but ALL Members of congress and the Tea Party has done with the internet what talk radio has done to the air waves.

Tea Party Faithful are all over social media from Twitter to Facebook and even starting their OWN social media outlets. Tea Party bloggers are EVERYWHERE and while some of what appears on pages far and wide must be taken with a grain of salt from time to time, the meat of it is fast and accurate!

The Tea Party is political information and spreading the facts is something liberals can’t stand.

If you doubt intent, ask yourself why liberals have for DECADES been taking over public schools and asylums of higher learning? To CONTROL knowledge.

Let people leer but only what you WANT them to learn and you can control THEM.

Along comes the Tea Party and all of a sudden, the TRUTH is being spread about and guess what, liberals run from the truth like cockroaches run from the light.

Liberals, Nelson included, watched in horror as the Tea Party ran hard and fast over the 2010 midterm elections. They didn’t like it much and they KNOW the Tea Party is poised to do it again in 2012!

“The Tea Party must be stopped.”

Stopped from WHAT Ben? Stopped from spreading the truth? Stopped from ruining the liberal march toward socialism? Stopped from upholding constitutional values? Stopped from promoting the idea that government is the subject OF the people and not the other way around?

Stopped from What? Ben??

The Tea Party has changed the conversation in Washington. We’ve all heard that and said it too. It’s true. But that too, I contend, is something liberals want to stop.

When the conversation changes, the next step is a change in the ACTIONS of Washington. Liberals want to keep a steady pace in the direction of socialism and if the conversation changes the actions, this nation will soon be marching AWAY from socialism!

“The Tea Party must be stopped.”

Stopped, perhaps from proving liberals wrong.

Liberals spent an awful lot of capital trying to label the Tea Party as being, Astroturf, angry mobs, racists, insane, dangerous, terrorists and on and on.

Tea Partiers just kept proving liberals wrong and liberals, so anxious to latch onto to SOMETHING…ANYTHING…to get a piece of what the Tea Party had…adopted the “Occupy” idiots. Oops. “Occupy” turned out to be everything liberals claimed the Tea Party was and worse.

Seriously, between the “Occupy” crowd and the union goons…liberals have shown their true colors and it ain’t pretty. While the liberal adoptees continue to act the fool the Tea Party continues to act with respect and abide by the laws which does nothing but make liberals look as bad as they really are.

Above all else, I believe Nelson wants the Tea Party to be stopped from winning…again.

Nelson knows full well that HIS senate seat is going republican and it would have whether or not he was running. One must remember, that as things now stand, liberals control the senate with 51 seats. In the 2012 election, 23 liberal seats and only 10 conservative seats are up for grabs.

With the house in the hands of conservatives, the senate is about to flip and behind that flip will be the Tea Party movement.

Nelson’s call for the Tea Party to be stopped is a desperate plea more than a command. If the Tea Party is NOT stopped, decades of socialist advances by liberals will begin to crumble.

Guess what Ben? The Tea Party isn’t going to be stopped. With you in the senate or without you, the Tea Party will not be stopped.

One thin Ben Nelson knows all too well is that BEFORE the Tea Party, he would have gotten away with the Cornhusker Kickback,

Because of the Tea Party…He didn’t.
