Ahhh…San Fran…where Tony Bennett left a major organ and liberals have lost their senses.

The liberal loony bin by the bay is building train tracks but the trolley is without doubt run off its rails. Back in 2003, voters in San FranFreakshow, decided a subway extension was the thing to do so they approved a little 2 miles of extra track for a projected cost of $647 million dollars. Seems like a bunch of cash for two miles but…whatever.

Of course it’s now 8 years later, THE SUBWAY EXTENSION STILL ISN’T DONE and…

THE COST IS NOT UP TO 1.6 BILLION DOLLARS!!!

So why should anybody outside the asylum give a Rice-a-Roni about it?

BECAUSE MOST OF THAT MONEY IS COMING FROM THE U.S. TAXPAYER!!! Yep, it’s a FEDERALLY FUNDED PROJECT and…a Civil Grand Jury concluded the project was poorly designed, won’t meet projected ridership levels, and, as the scathing title of its report says, costs “too much money for too little benefit.”

Well then by all means…KEEP DIGGING!!!

It could be worse…Back in 2008, California voters approved a HAIR BRAINED idea to build a HIGH SPEED RAIL LINE from L.A. to San Fran – and in 2009, as part of the OH SO GREAT OBAMA STIMULUS, 2 billion bucks went into it  just to get the train rolling.

The California High Speed Rail Authority promised voters that the line would open in 2020, at an overall price of about $33 billion.

OF COURSE NOT A SINGLE PIECE OF RAIL IS IN PLACE, THEY ARE NOW SAYING IT WON’T OPEN UNTIL 2033 AND THE PROJECTED COST IS NOW UP TO…98.5 BILLION DOLLARS!!!

I can only guess they are using the same math they used to calculate OBAMACARE!!!

Flipping through the TV channels the other day and what do I hear? David Gregory on NBC talking about Herman Cain and the dingbat who is accusing him of being a dog.

Gregory actually said, “Well there is no, you know, Grand Wizard in the party right now who can really force the issue. I’ve talked to Cain’s advisers in Iowa, they think their support is still strong there, that it’s not falling.”

NO GRAND WIZARD???

Oh no he didn’t…OH YES HE DID!!!

The tolerant liberal’s sputtering PIE HOLE thinks the KLAN needs to force Herman Cain out of the GOP race!!!

Isn’t it LIBERALS who are always accusing CONSERVATIVES of being RACISTS???

NOW WE ARE GETTING REPORTS THAT SOME OF THE OCCUPY LOCATIONS ARE SWIMMING IN…LICE AND TUBERCULOSIS!!!!!

Now we have word that the “OCCUPY SACRAMENTO” liberal kootie fest HAS UPSET THE SACRAMENTO HOMELESS PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY HAVE OCCUPIED THEIR PARK!!!

Congratulations, “OCCUPIERS,” you have MANAGED TO SQUAT ON THE ONLY HOME THE HOMELESS HAVE!!!!!

Funny…I don’t recall outbreaks of DISEASE at Tea Party events, or ARSON, DRUG USE, SEXUAL ASSAULTS, OR MAKING THE HOMELESS…MORE HOMELESS THAN THEY WERE BEFORE EITHER!!!

Finally, this week WE HAVE THE OUR GOVERNMENT GETTING INVOLVED IN PROMOTING CHRISTMAS TREES!!!

It seems that REAL TREES HAVE A PUBLIC RELATIONS PROBLEM, AND IN TYPICAL LIBERAL BIG GOVERNMENT FASHION THE ONLY SOLUTION IS TO GET LIBERAL BIG GOVERNMENT INVOLVED!!

IT’S THE GREAT CHRISTMAS TREE BAIL OUT!!!

On TUESDAY, the USDA announced that a BRAND NEW GOVERNMENT FUNDED BOARD would take on the task OF PROMOTING REAL TREES FOR CHRISTMAS OVER ARTIFICIAL TREES  by imposing a 15 cent FEE on every REAL TREE SOLD OR IMPORTED!!!

Of COURSE they said it WASN’T a TAX but you know as well as I do that TREE SELLERS WOULD PASS THAT COST TO THE CUSTOMER!!

Then, on WEDNESDAY…after CONSERVATIVES pointed out JUST HOW STUPID THIS WAS…the OBAMA administration CANNED THE WHOLE IDEA…PENDING FURTHER STUDY!!!

Ummm…EXACTLY WHAT MORE DO YOU HAVE TO STUDY????

According to the Federal Register, the new board was supposed to launch a “program of promotion, research, evaluation, and information designed to strengthen the Christmas tree industry’s position in the marketplace.”

Sooooo…THE GOVERNMENT HAS TO MANDATE A FEE ON CHRISTMAS TREES BECAUSE PRIVATE INDUSTRY CAN’T DO THIS ON THEIR OWN??? REALLY???

ARE CHRISTMAS TREES REALLY IN NEED OF A BETTER REPUTATION?

IS THERE ANYTHING BIG GOVERNMENT DOESN’T WANT TO GET INVOLVED IN???

IF THEY DID FOR THE CHRISTMAS TREE INDUSTRY WHAT THEY’VE DONE FOR FANNIE AND FREDDY…IT’LL JUST BE A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE WE PAYING TREE FARMERS MILLIONS IN BONUSES WHILE FIR TREES EVERYWHERE ARE BEING FORECLOSED ON!!!

The USDA claims such programs have been a boon for the Egg industry, the Pork industry and the Milk industry…THEREFORE…A SIMILAR PROGRAM WOULD BE GREAT FOR THE CHRISTMAS TREE INDUSTRY TOO!!!

Apparently the Christmas Tree Industry spent SEVERAL YEARS RESEARCHING HOW TO PUT A BETTER PUBLIC RELATIONS SPIN ON CHRISTMAS TREES AND THIS WAS THE BEST THEY COULD DO???

THE BEST WAY TO PROMOTE CHRISTMAS TREES IS TO STOP TRYING TO DEMONIZE CHRISTMAS!!!
