Today, we at The National Patriot, have decided to do something a little different. Different for us and different from so many other great sites. Today is our 2 month anniversary and e have something we would like to say to you, our readers.

As the Publisher and Executive Director of The National Patriot, I know that doesn’t sound like much and you’re right, it isn’t but to be perfectly honest, you have me at something of a loss for words when it comes to what you have done for us.

The National Patriot is really a tale of two different sites. We started in March as a site called Politicular which was actually owned by someone else who asked that I take over the site…He simply didn’t have the time to put into it so…off I went. Patty Ewing Robichaud was the very first person I contacted and together, we redesigned the site and assembled a talented crew of contributors.

For just over 3 months, we wrote, published and grew that site into something of which we were proud. That’s when the fellow who owned the site decided he wanted it back BUT…he was willing to SELL it to us. Somehow, it just didn’t seem right that we would purchase our OWN original content and we declined but NOT before we made sure we had viable copies of EVERYTHING we had posted there.

We took a couple of months off but frankly, we missed what we had been doing which led us to start over.

A NEW site was born and our family of Contributors came back onboard. We became, The National Patriot on July 26^th, 2011.

Okay, I know our numbers aren’t what site established for years get but I’m telling you we couldn’t be more thrilled with what you have done for this little upstart conservative site.

In 3 months on the old site, we had 11,000 hits and 15,000 page views. In 2 months, The National Patriot has recorded 15,157 hits and 26,874 page views!!!

In 3 months on the old site we reached out to 56 countries and territories. In 2 months, The National Patriot has reached readers in 69 countries and territories!!!

In 3 months with the old site, we garnered 434 followers on Twitter. In 2 months, The National Patriot has garnered 803 followers on Twitter!!! By the way, if you would like to be one of our Tweeps, you can find us at,  @TheNationalPatr and we’ll happily follow back!

I would like to draw attention to Patty Ewing Robichaud, The National Patriot’s Executive Editor! Patty has the task of editing everything we write but she also contributes her own articles as well. Friends, THAT is double duty!! The National Patriot would be lost without her and a giant hat tip goes her way!

Our family of contributors is a wide ranging group with a wide range of styles. Jennifer Stephens, Margaret Smith, John Brewer, Emmanuel Etchells-Ayre, Eva Koloseik, Patriot Rocker, Mark Wallace, Kathleen McClintock and more have brought so much wisdom, introspection and fun to our pages it defies description. Patty and I thank them all!

An unseen and unheard from champion of this team is Tanya Grimsley. Tanya is the social media QUEEN and her efforts to spread the word through HER vast network MUST be recognized. ALL HAIL THE QUEEN!!!

The National Patriot would also like to thank those who have included us in their blogrolls…and while there are too many to list, we especially want to thank stacyswimp.net as Stacy has also, graciously, allow us to post articles directly to his site over the last few weeks. Thanks to you all for including The National Patriot and for all you do to educate and inform in the name of conservatism!!

We know however, that without you, our readers, we would have nothing. The real tip of the hat goes to those who read, share, tweet and talk about what we write. For the last 2 months, you have put up with our bombardment of your favorite social media groups, walls, inboxes and threads, you’ve read the articles and you’ve shared and RT’d them far and wide. For all you have done and continue to do, a mere thank you doesn’t seem near enough but, thank you!!

The National Patriot is Commentary From the Right Side of Politics but we have taken that a little farther on our site. Along with the articles we have created several pages and a couple of weekly features.
