Ron Paul says Our Intervention in the Middle East is to blame for 9/11 attacks
To bring about radical and permanent change in any society, our primary focus must be on the conversion of minds through education.
— Congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul
Two weeks away from the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, presidential candidate and Texas Rep. Ron Paul says that U.S. intervention in the Middle East is a main motivation behind terrorist hostilities toward America, and that Islam is not a threat to the nation.
At a campaign stop on Saturday in Winterset, one man asked Paul how terrorist groups would react if the U.S. removed its military presence in Middle Eastern nations, a move the candidate advocates. “Which enemy are you worried that will attack our national security?” Paul asked. “If you’re looking for specifics, I’m talking about Islam. Radical Islam,” the man answered.
“I don’t see Islam as our enemy,” Paul said. “I see that motivation is occupation and those who hate us and would like to kill us, they are motivated by our invasion of their land, the support of their dictators that they hate.”
Regarding 9/11, Paul said that attacks against the U.S. from Middle Eastern groups at home and abroad can be traced to the foreign presence of U.S. troops, as well as America’s relationships with dictator regimes.
May I say that I expect and have heard this same rhetoric come out of the mouths of Liberal Democrats and geniuses in Hollywood like Michael Moore – but I do not expect to hear it come from someone who claims to be a Conservative Republican!
Alright… I’m about to open the flood gates for the Ron Paul Nuts to go off, stand back…ready?
How Fed Up Is This Man? I’ve kept my mouth shut about Ru Paul and his fanatical followers and their crap that we conservatives have had to deal with while they’ve invaded our conservative sites and attacked us for supposedly not being Conservative enough and true Constitutionalist like them! I’ve come to the conclusion that these nuts are no different and on the same par as the radical leftist in this country and even support the same groups, like Code Pink and many are the same Anti-War and Anti-Israel crowd!
Well…let me remind Paul and his supporters of one simple historical fact… Islam has been at war with the world and anyone who doesn’t agree with them for the past 1,400 years and has killed over 271 million people while doing it! And Arabs and Muslims of all levels have been killing each other and everyone they come in contact with whether or not we have military bases in the Middle East or our support for Israel since Arabs have been walking this planet. America has been an easy excuse to blame 9-11 on for those who don’t want to deal with the truth or have an agenda!
All one ever has to do is, do a simple Google search on the destruction of a 1,000 year old flourishing vibrant city of Constantinople by Islam in 1453 http://www.roman-empire.net/co
or the violent Islamic Barbary pirates 1785-1830 who raped, stole and took slaves of American, English and French ships http://www.washingtonpost.com/
There are a 1,000 of these historical facts of Islam’s killing sprees in the name of Allah way before we ever supported Israel or “Occupied” the Arab world. Either way, Islam’s violent record speaks for itself; and why wouldn’t we support and defend Israel, the only true democracy in the middle east against Islamo Nazi’s?
But let’s look exactly at what Osama Bin Laden said in his own words:
“I am one of the servants of Allah. We do our duty of fighting for the sake of the religion of Allah. It is also our duty to send a call to all the people of the world to enjoy this great light and to embrace Islam and experience the happiness in Islam. Our primary mission is nothing but the furthering of this religion.”
Osama bin Laden ( June 1996)
It doesn’t matter if I agree with Ru Paul’s financial policies or not (which I happen to think are spot on for the most part), his foreign-George McGovern/Dennis Kucinich-Isolationist policies are ridiculous and dangerous!
Let’s see how well that worked out in the late 1930s as Hitler rolled through Poland and then the rest of Europe while we sat it out! Oh that’s right, it didn’t! Just think of how many millions of lives would have been saved if we didn’t have to play catch up. If not for England holding the line, we would have been fighting the Nazi’s here! Ron Paul clearly has no idea what Islam is and how dangerous and what a threat it is to the civilized world.
And let me remind those who, like Paul, try to use the Founding Fathers as examples of being Non-interventionist or Isolationist and the Constitution never gives us a right to use our military anywhere but at home if we are attacked, it was Thomas Jefferson that went after the Barbary Pirates! It was James Madison in the war of 1812 who invaded Canada, and George Washington used the military to invade Canada in 1775.
So what Ron Paul and his supporters are saying is, “If there is a bully on your street and he’s intimidating you, it’s better to stay in your house and never leave home!” Sorry, not me! Cherry picking comments and information out of context from our founding fathers in an attempt to support your false argument is not only historically and intellectually dishonest, it’s wrong!
Contrary to popular belief, Ron Paul is not the Founder of the Tea Party movement, Ru Paul is not a Republican, he is not a Conservative – and one could go as far to say that he isn’t even a true Libertarian. He’s what some call a Palo Libertarian or Neo Confederate.
He’s a supporter of the articles of Federation and that might be why many of his supporters hate Abraham Lincoln so much. He ran and lost as the nominee for the libertarian party. Even the libertarian party wasn’t impressed with him. His fanatical supporters have attacked the CATO institute (a great libertarian think tank) on many occasions because they feel they’re not libertarian enough.
Reason Magazine (a libertarian magazine and website) have exposed his close ties and connections with people the likes of the Secessionist Lew Rockwell which was his former chief of staff (google his name) or go to his site http://lewrockwell.com/ and look at what his anti-Semitic supporters have to say. I’m sorry, I can’t support this ….”If We Just Leave Them Alone, They’ll Leave Us Alone” and “Blame America First” mentality and add in his want to legalize heroin – which is crazy just on its own! It’s dangerous stance – and Islam takes that for weakness – and Ron Paul clearly does not understand our enemies. If he truly believes this, then he should never be president.
So I ask you: Could you seriously vote for this man for president?
Sorry. I can’t, in good conscious, vote for someone that blames America first for the ills of the Islamic world!
I ask of you, Ron Paul supporters, to look a little deeper into this man that you blindly support because he says a few things that sound nice – and may I remind you of someone else who sounded great and said all the right things that no one bothered to look into: Barack Obama!

It’s pretty simple to me, you’d rather see the USA as the police of the world and see our American Empire grow with more concern about who we’re taking over or where we’re expanding than what’s going on at home. If we stopped paying for all the wars abroad, if we stopped giving foreign aid all over the world, if we stopped getting into everyone else’s business by golly we’d probably be more concerned with problems at home and we would probably get into less fights with other nations. Would that make us weaker? Please that’s ridiculous. Only bullies think they need to be constantly seen as ‘tough’ to get their point across. Lead by example, this is a maxim all should embrace. We are not leading the world by example today, we lead it through intimidation and coercion and by everything you’ve placed in this article above? You’d like to see it continue so yes, I do call you a bad conservative and horrible constitutionalist and sorry to tell you, but you have more in common with neo con’s than others. And if Ron Paul didn’t start the Tea Party movement and get it kicked off, why is it other republicans like Judge Napolitano and many conservatives SAY HE DID?
Ron Paul is the only true defender of the Constitution and wants freedom for everyone. He is NO politician, he is a true Statesman, his votes prove it!
