Right now, Harry Reid in the senate, argues that the hold up on a stop gap spending bill that would fund the military through the end of the fiscal year and the rest of government for another week, is not valid and should not be considered because of a lack of funding for title 10.
Call it what it REALLY is Harry Reid. Title 10 does NOT receive tax payer funding. Planned Parenthood Does. You are NOT holding this up over title 10 your ARE holding it up over the defunding of Planned Parenthood.
To claim otherwise is, at best, disingenuous and more accurately, a transparent deception of the American people.
If the stop gap measure SHOULD pass through the senate, president Obama has vowed to veto that measure.
That veto, should it occur or not passing the measure before midnight tonight WILL cause a government shutdown. How long it would last is anybody’s guess. The longest shutdown in history lasted 21 days. This one could go that long, could be longer or could be shorter we simply do not know.
There are some things we DO know.
A government shutdown would in fact put 800,000 workers on the sidelines, shut down national parks and be harmful to the economy. While those things ARE important they seem to pale compared to what I believe are the 2 main issues at hand.
- Reid stands against the passage of this measure because it contains a rider defunding Planned Parenthood.
- This stop gap measure DOES provide funding through the end of the fiscal year for our military.
IF this does NOT go through, our military, in the field of battle and here at home, will not be paid. Their checks will accumulate and they will eventually get their money but…what of their families? Are THEIR bills going to put on hold? Are they going to be able to buy groceries and wait to pay for them? What about gas for their cars? Their mortgages? Certainly you can see what I am getting at here.
And why would our service men and women be forced to wait for their pay while they work to keep us safe and fight in wars?
Because Reid, Obama and the democratic party are objecting to defunding Planned Parenthood.
I will NOT mince words.
Here is EXACTLY what this boils down to.
Harry Reid, Barak Obama, the democrat party and those who vote for them are MORE concerned over the ability of Planned Parenthood to DESTROY future Americans at the expense of the tax payer than they are over the well being of our troop’s families and the destruction of our enemies.
PERIOD!
Even IF this measure goes through, even IF our service men and women continue to receive their pay, by arguing this point, the democrats now OWN this shameful position. They would rather TURN THEIR BACKS ON THOSE WHO DEFEND OUR NATION IN ORDER TO OFFER TAX PAYER MONEY TO THOSE WHO WOULD ABORT FUTURE AMERICANS!!!
