We’ve all heard of the case, and by now, most have heard the verdict. It’s not the case of the century, but it is important.

In a politically charged environment, in a divisive culture, one can hardly think of a place more guilty of causing political divisiveness than any one of today’s asylums of higher indoctrination. From every level of public schools, otherwise known as liberal indoctrination centers, to colleges and universities, otherwise known as asylums of higher indoctrination, liberals have ruled the roost for decades. They set the agenda, (it’s no longer a curriculum) and they preach, (not teach) the ideology of socialism to students from kindergarten through grad school.

The case in question is Gibson Bros. v. Oberlin College.

Back in 2016, Gibson Bros. bakery caught a black student, Jonathan Aldin, shoplifting alcohol from their store, chased the male student across the street and held him until police arrived. Two other female students who were apparently with the shoplifter assaulted the bakery employee and were also arrested.

The bakery is owned and operated by a white family, and the employee who was assaulted, Allyn Gibson, is also white, and all three students involved are black. As one can well imagine, the petulant cries of “racism” whipped through the Oberlin campus like wildfire.

Within hours, the liberal college students had organized protests in front of the bakery, protests on campus, printed flyers telling students and staff not to buy anything from that “racist” bakery again, and the college itself, which had a long-standing business arrangement with Gibson’s, cancelled their contract.

Gibson Bros. was nearly put out of business…and then…

the evidence, in the form of surveillance video came to light, the black students had done exactly what the bakery said they had done, and the black students who stole from Gibson’s all pleaded guilty, and each read a statement in court saying Gibson’s actions were not racially motivated.

Meredith Raimondo, the Vice President and Dean of Students at Oberlin College was allegedly involved in organizing the protests and passing out flyers that claimed the bakery had a history of racist behavior, which simply was a lie. Raimondo was found guilty of libel and the jury found the college guilty of intentional infliction of emotional distress. The jury awarded Gibson Bros. $11.2 million dollars in actual or compensatory damages, and further award the bakery an additional $33.2 million in punitive damages bringing the total award for pushing a fake story of racism to nearly $44.4 million dollars.

Oberlin College, well known for its conservatory of music, doesn’t want to pay the piper for their orchestrated racial hit on a bakery owned and operated by a white family to the tune of $44.4 million dollars, and they will, no doubt, appeal the judgement. On appeal, the whole award could be reduced, or completely nullified, but If there is clear evidence that the college as an entity helped to organize the protests, and even fanned the flames of the fake racism allegations, as the jury says there was, then the verdict and the award should stand.

During the damage assessment portion of the trial, after the guilty verdict was rendered, Oberlin College claimed that Gibson’s attorneys took several runs at showing that statements made by students and statements made even by professors somehow represent endorsement of the actions by Oberlin College. Oberlin’s attorneys told the jury that the student senate is not controlled by the college and allowing the senate to post its resolution on college property is not tantamount to an official endorsement of that resolution.

First, let’s set what happened into a proper time frame. The student who shoplifted the alcohol from Gibson Bros. did so in November, 2016, right after the 2016 election. Oberlin College is a liberal college, and it follows that the bulk of the students there are liberals, as are the educators, and the administrators. Trump won that election, Hillary lost, and it’s not at all hard to believe that the immediate cries of racism, as false as they were, were fueled in large part by false cries of racism against Donald Trump.

For years, under Obama, such false allegations of racism had been swept under the rug, ignored, and even championed from the White House in the name of “social justice.” Screaming “racism” when on the losing side of any argument had become the race card calling card of liberals everywhere as a free pass argument ender. That was then, this is now.

The Obama regime is over, and the law of the land is now back in place as it should be. Allegations should have never equated to a guilty verdict, and the court of public opinion should have never replaced our judicial system. Those were, and are, liberal tactics, a part of the ideology of liberalism used to silence those with whom liberals disagree, but it runs deeper than just that.

The culture that flourished under Obama, that black was right and white was wrong, based on nothing but the color of someone’s skin was the driving force behind what happened to Gibson Bros. Three liberal black students tried to steal from a white owned business and got caught. They cried “racism,” and the rest of the liberal student body, liberal professors, and liberal administrators, all smarting from an election loss jumped on the false allegation bandwagon.

This was their Fergusson. This was their moment to reclaim what they lost in that election. This was their opportunity to show everybody that Obama’s rules still applied, and they were going to brand a business that never once showed any signs of a racist agenda as a despicable racist entity, and shut them down.

Combine political correctness, “social justice” based on false allegations, and a culture of entitlement based on skin color and you have a combustible mix. Ignore the content of the character of thief, and focus your angst on the color of the shop owner’s skin as a way to excuse the thief’s illegal behavior, and you’ve lit the match.

But there’s a price to be paid for arson, and in this case, that price is $44.4 million dollars.

This, however, is bigger than one bakery v. one college. It’s a microcosm from what’s happening in our society, in our culture today.

From the Kavanagugh hearings, to a 17 year old kid on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, to the Mueller Russian Collusion Delusion, liberals keep trying to subvert the rule of law and replace it with a mob mentality, and they are finally losing that fight because the falsely accused are finally standing up against their false accusers. Liberals have no one to blame but themselves as the problem is systemic in the world of liberalism. From students, educators and administrators at an Ohio college, to the mainstream media, to the ivory towers of elected liberals, the desperation of liberals is now on full display.

For decades, the liberal elite have relied on false allegations, fake news, lies, hollow promises, redirection of their own misdeeds upon their opponents, censoring their critics, and propaganda to further their agenda, having long ago abandoned morals, merit, values and proven results. Liberalism relies on blind faith in a fantasy, and cannot exist under the harsh glare of reality.

A $44.4 million dollar judgement against the orchestrated falsehood of the liberal agenda is a very harsh light indeed.

Educators, and administrators at Oberlin College took part in the immediate protests, helped pass out flyers at the protests, and according to some witnesses, helped to whip the protesters into something of a frenzy.

Did anyone at that college do any educating in that moment? Did the faculty try to cool things down in that moment? Did the administration suggest waiting for the evidence to come in, suggest that in our judicial system, one is innocent until proven guilty? Did the student body, the faculty or the administrators hesitate, see the seriousness of the allegations, think about the notion that the bakery and its owners and employees could be innocent, might not be racists, or that the three black students may have actually stolen the alcohol, and committed assault?

Nope. Such notions are the stuff of centers of higher education, and Oberlin College outted itself as just another liberal asylum of higher indoctrination. They let a teachable moment pass in favor of a preachable moment, but sadly, you can’t teach liberal indoctrinators anything, and I rather doubt they learned a damn thing from this.

I say that from a standpoint of evidence that supports it. During the segment of the trial where monetary penalties were being decided, Oberlin College put forth their arguments based solely on finances, of which, they claim to be short. Remember, the total could end up being $44.4 million dollars, and Oberlin was making the argument that they couldn’t afford it. Perhaps they should have thought of that when earlier while they were busy fanning the flames of false racial allegations, or perhaps they should have thought of it before they printed brochures bragging to perspective donors and students that the college’s assets were over a billion dollars.

The fact that they pushed fake allegations of racism like good little liberals furthering the party line agenda, and got caught doing so seems to be completely lost on Oberlin College, which raises the question…do they even care? If all they’re worried about is their bottom line on their upcoming financial report, then I think not.

What Oberlin College did in this case not only dilutes real cases of racism, it shows clearly that liberalism is the systemic purveyor of racism, and that they project their own misdeeds on those with whom they disagree. Oberlin College knew what those three students did was wrong, they knew what the student body did in response was wrong, and they knew what they did, as a college was wrong.

The $44.4 million dollar award should stand, and any appeal of it, or the verdict should be dismissed. The three students directly involved should be expelled, the teachers and administrator who fanned the flames should be fired, and any student who took part in the protests in any way should be put on academic probation.

Clearly, there were racists involved in what happened between Oberlin College and Gibson Bros. bakery, but the bakery wasn’t the racist entity.

Oberlin College, driven by the liberal agenda…was.
