Remember when Lois Lerner claimed that more than 2 years’ worth of her IRS emails had been lost because her hard drive crashed?

Of course you do.

Remember when it was reported that 6 MORE IRS employees, in Lerner’s division, couldn’t access THEIR emails because…THEIR hard drives had ALSO crashed?

Remember when we were all told that there had been NO electronic backup of ANY of those emails?

Sure you do.

Remember when we discovered that all IRS emails are backed up on TAPE and that unfortunately, while YOU and I have to keep YEARS worth of OUR records should the IRS demand to see them…the IRS itself only holds onto their backup tapes for a scant 6 months?

Yeah…you remember.

Remember when the IRS Commissioner sat before the House Oversight Committee and told us all that those emails were unrecoverable?

Remember when Congressman Paul Ryan said THIS to IRS Commissioner John Koskinen’s face?

“You are the Internal Revenue Service. You can reach into the lives of hardworking taxpayers, and with a phone call, an email or a letter, you can turn their lives upside down. You ask taxpayers to hand over seven years of their personal tax information in case they’re ever audited, and you can’t keep six months’ worth of employee emails?”

“I don’t believe you!”

Remember when Koskinen responded that his agency had done everything they could to recover those missing emails and that he owed neither the American people nor the Oversight Committee an apology and then sat there with that smirk on his face and told Ryan and the rest of the Members of the Oversight Committee… “I did not come out of retirement to run an agency that wasn’t transparent.”

Remember when Congressman Elijah Cummings, who was the ranking democrat on the House Committee investigating the targeting scandal was discovered to have been on the receiving end of inside information related to the IRS targeting  of Conservatives groups…WHILE IT WAS TAKING PLACE…supplied to his staff by none other than Lois Lerner herself???

Remember when Bill O’Reilly asked Obama whether there “was corruption or mass corruption” taking place at the IRS? That was just barely a year ago and do you remember what Obama said in response?

“Not even mass corruption –– not even a smidgen of corruption.”

Not even a SMIDGEM…NOT EVEN A SMIDGEN…of corruption. Not…even…a…smidgen.

I remember it ALL far too well and I suspect…so too do you.

And then, last week, 32,000 of those missing Lois Lerner emails…emails from between 2010 and 2012…relegated to backup tapes that are supposedly kept by the IRS for only 6 months AND HAD BEEN, WE WERE TOLD, DESTROYED.…were recovered.

Was it some new-fangled technique that was employed to resurrect those emails? Was it a miracle? Was it some top secret spy agency magic that was able to recover those emails from the recesses of long ago erased tapes through the use of some double top secret forensic analysis?

No…

Those emails that we were told had been lost for all time…like the Library of Alexandria…were simply handed over by the IT people at the IRS to the Inspector General because…nobody had ever asked for them before.

That’s correct…until the Inspector General went to the IT people and ASKED about those tapes…NOBODY had asked for them. Not Lois Lerner. Not Commissioner John Koskinen. Nobody at the IRS…not one person amid the swirling scandal…amid the allegations of cover up…amid the Oversight Committee hearings…not one single person in the entirety of the Obama regime…not one person had ever gone to the very people whose job it is to watch over every computer-related happening at the IRS and asked for those tapes.

But it is far, FAR worse than a simple failing to ask for the tapes.

We now know that Eric Holder’s Department of Justice actually SHUT DOWN the search for the missing emails.

Cleta Mitchell, an attorney representing True the Vote…one of the many Conservative organizations TARGETED by the IRS discovered that all such backup tapes are warehoused in two facilities…one in Pittsburgh and the other in West Virginia. According to the Daily Caller…Mitchell asked U.S. District Court Judge Reggie Walton to appoint a forensic examiner to investigate those facilities for the missing emails and that is when lawyers from the DOJ who were representing both the Treasury Department and the IRS in that hearing told the judge that Mitchell was not allowed to even so much as DISCUSS THE EXISTENCE of such facilities in her capacity as an attorney.

The judge agreed and the search was shut down. Mitchell knew exactly where those backup tapes were. Holder knew exactly where those backup tapes were. Lerner who had pled the 5th over and over again knew exactly where those backup tapes were. Former IRS Commissioner Shulman knew and so too did current Commissioner Koskinen.

It’s not that nobody ever asked for those tapes…it’s that they were under a federal judge’s ORDER…INSISTED UPON by the OBAMA REGIME…that made it UNLAWFUL to ask to see those tapes!!! That is a very staggering series of facts.

And yet here we are…the American people…in the midst of tax season when we will again hand over to an agency now under investigation for criminal activity some $2.4 TRILLION of our hard-earned dollars.

The IRS admittedly targeted Conservative groups who were applying for exempt status between 2010 and 2012. Lerener repeatedly pled the 5th to avoid providing testimony related to that targeting or her emails. During the targeting, then IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman visited the White House 118 times and yet Obama claims he doesn’t remember even a single time Shulman was there and claims to have never spoken with Shulman at the White House.

Really? Then just who was Shulman meeting with? Perhaps Valerie Jarrett, the woman who pulls Obama’s puppet strings.

Lois Lerner claimed that her computer hard drive crashed resulting in lost emails. In June of 2014 it was revealed that 6 more IRS employees who worked in the same division though not the same office as Lerner had suffered hard drive crashes that resulted in lost emails.

On July 21st, 2014…MORE reports of MORE IRS computer crashes and MORE lost emails all related to the IRS Targeting scandal with IRS Deputy Associate Chief Counsel Thomas Kane telling an investigative committee… “There is an issue as to whether or not there is a…that all of the backup recovery tapes were destroyed on the 6 month retention schedule.”

In September of 2014…5 MORE IRS computer hard drive crashes were reported including those of two MORE tax exempt agents who had worked for Lois Lerner out of the Cincinnati office along with data indicating that Lerner and previous hard drive crash victim Nikole Flax were part of a “secret research project” whereby the IRS was improperly demanding donor information from nonprofit groups.

And it gets even worse…

In December of 2014, the IRS watchdog group, Cause of Action filed a FOIA request seeking information regarding the ILLEGAL sharing of private taxpayer data with the White House and naturally, the IRS denied any such wrongdoing but… the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration then sent a letter to Cause of Action…ADMITTING that the IRS had…THOUSANDS of such documents…2500 OF THEM TO BE EXACT…but Cause of Action was PREVENTED from seeing them due to…FEDERAL PRIVACY LAWS.

That’s correct…the 2500 documents of PRIVATE TAXPAYER INFORMATION that the IRS had ILLEGALLY SHARED with the WHITE HOUSE could NOT be turned over to a FEDERAL JUDGE because…IT IS ILLEGAL TO SHARE SUCH INFORMATION.

Nice huh?

Obviously, one does not share information with a BUILDING so…just as obviously, that private information was shared with some inside that building and it is completely implausible to believe it wasn’t then shared with the RESIDENT of that building at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue…the very resident who, when asked about corruption at the IRS said…“Not even mass corruption — not even a smidgen of corruption.”

And now…NOW…an investigation has been opened to see if there has been CRIMINALITY taking place at the IRS???

The IRS…the agency that Paul Ryan so correctly pointed out “…can reach into the lives of hardworking taxpayers, and with a phone call, an email or a letter, you can turn their lives upside down…”  the very government agency which, under the Obama regime has been tasked with the enforcement of Obamacare  and is now under investigation for CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES…conspired with Obama’s JUSTICE Department, the WHITE HOUSE, a democrat congressman who later sat on the House Committee to INVESTIGATE the scandal and the U.S. Treasury Department to OBSTRUCT JUSTICE AND COVER UP THEIR CRIMINAL ACTIVITY!!!

If the obvious isn’t enough evidence to prove that there has indeed been criminal activity involved…I will leave you with THIS email found in the never-to-be-recovered missing Lois Lerner emails…an email Lerner sent on Wednesday June 29th 2011 to David Fish and Nikole Flax with Cc to Joseph Urban, Nanette Downing and Joseph Grant…

“No one will ever believe that both your hard drive and mine crashed within a week of each other.”

It seems to me that the time for investigating is over and the time to issue arrest warrants is upon us.
