Over The weekend, America lost a hero.
By now, his death is being cheered by our enemies and already, it has been disgraced by Ron Paul WHO TWEETED: “Chris Kyle’s death seems to confirm that ‘he who lives by the sword dies by the sword.’ Treating PTSD at a firing range doesn’t make sense.”
Navy Seal Chris Kyle was murdered by a former marine. Shot in the back at a gun range.
Ron Paul should be ashamed of himself.
Chris Kyle was the greatest sniper who ever lived and served 4 tours of duty. That is enough to make him a hero but, it simply wasn’t enough for Chris Kyle.
When asked if he had any regrets regarding his service and his activities as a sniper, Chris answered, point blank…Yes.
He said it wasn’t those he dispatched who haunted him but those Americans, Iraqi’s and other allies he was unable to save.
Chris Kyle recorded 160 kills and some, from as far distant as 21 football fields away.
That is 160 insurgents and terrorists who never again killed an American or an Iraqi who either had or was suspected OF aiding Americans.
Let’s not pretend we knew Chris Kyle. Outside his family, his wife, children parents only a handful of others really knew him.
His SEAL family may have known Chris Kyle better than anyone and because of who he was, what he did and where he was stationed, WE only got to know him because he wrote a book.
Sometimes though, that’s enough to know what sort of man he was.
He loved this country and Chris Kyle loved those who served this country.
Chris, we’re told, stepped up. He dedicated himself to serving those who served…us. When they came home and things weren’t right…They couldn’t sleep, didn’t feel they fit in anymore or suffered flashbacks from what they had seen, Chris Kyle helped them. He took them to familiar settings, places they felt comfortable, and engaged them in an activity they understood.
Chris Kyle took them to gun ranges.
There, they were in an environment they could grasp and with those who shared a passion and common experiences.
Kyle wasn’t alone with Eddie Ray Routh last Saturday at that Texas shooting range, His pal, Chad Littlefield was there too.
Routh, we’re told, may have suffered PTSD but, reports of that have been challenged. Whatever the reason, the 3 men were there and somehow, Eddie Ray Routh shot both Littlefield and Kyle in the back, killing them both.
Clearly Routh was troubled.
He had threatened suicide, threatened to kill his family and had been taken for mental treatment twice…All over the last 4 months.
We may never know what set Routh off last Saturday but we now know that, he took Chris Kyle’s Ford pickup and drove to his sister’s home about 30 miles south of Fort Worth. When his sister asked whose truck he was driving, Routh told her, “I traded my soul for a new truck,” and then told her what he had done.
None of it makes sense.
NONE of it.
Chris Kyle had served 10 years, he’d been wounded and returned to action time and time again. Those in theater with him called him “The Legend” and the enemy called him, al-Shaitan Ramadi…”The Devil of Ramadi.”
They even put a bounty on his head.
By the time he came home from Iraq, Chris Kyle had 14 medals. Candy, he called them. “Not what they were over there to get,” he said.
We, as civilians, tend to judge military success by the medals one wears but Chris Kyle, it seems, measured HIS success by the number of men and women who were able to go home again because HE was there.
The number of confirmed kills reached 160.
The number of lives saved is unable to be quantified.
One of those confirmed kills was a man with a rocket launcher aimed at a convoy of American military vehicles. Chris Kyle aimed, held his breath and gently squeezed off 1 single shot.
The man with the launcher fell dead. Dead before he hit the ground.
Killed from more than a mile away.
That is what Chris Kyle did over there.
Over HERE, Chris wrote the book, “American Sniper” and he had become the President of Craft International teaching his special knowledge and skill set to the U.S. Military.
When he wasn’t training others or promoting his book or writing his second book which he had just finished, Chris Kyle was helping people like the man who shot him and Littlefield in the back.
By the way, Chris Kyle was NOT making money on his autobiography.
Proceeds from “American Sniper: The Autobiography of The Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History” were donated to the families of Marc Lee and Ryan Job, 2 fellow Navy SEALS who never made it home. THAT’S the kind of man Chris Kyle Was.
Chris Kyle leaves behind a wife and 2 small children and we need to show THEM that a Nation of Patriots are with them.
There are many ways to show your support for the family of Chris Kyle and I encourage you to donate what you can to the Tanya Grimsley Mercury One Honors Chris Kyle. Tanya is a god friend and great Patriot and I believe we can far exceed her goal of $500.00!!! Please CLICK HERE to make YOUR donation TODAY!!!
Chris Kyle was more than 10 feet tall.
He was more than a father and a husband.
He was more than “The Legend.”
Because of Chris Kyle, many, MANY families are together today.
He was an American Hero, and for 160 insurgents and terrorists, Chris Kyle was the last thing they NEVER saw.
What a MAN. What an AMERICAN. What a SERVANT OF GOD. What a DESTROYER of EVIL! What a person of FAITH, DETERMINATION, COURAGE, STRENGTH. What a man of PURPOSE.
More than just killing the enemy – those who follow Satan, and would slit your throat in a second because you believed in a different God – more than just a follower of the military family with a sacred history of over 235 years. Chris Kyle was a man who stood for something fine, and good. He protected his fellow man, his family, his flag, his nation, and the highest tradtiions of our military.
Chris Kyle was a man to be looked up to. And now, he is a man to be honored, and to be revered. We will miss you, Chris. Your nation will miss you. Satan took you…Jesus welcomed you with open arms.
God Bless your soul.
According to friends who knew him, Chris was just another good ol’ Texas boy! Yes, he was American Sniper, yes he was al-Shaitan Ramadi. But more than that, he was a true and faithful red white and blue blooded American — adoring his wife and daughters, faithful to them to the end, faithful to his friends to the end. He and Chad Littlefield died a senseless and tragic death.
But, I hope that someday his family and friends know how much he meant to everyone — forget the Ron Pauls — those of us that truly care loved him as a brother!!
From an Army Mom, a member of Soldiers’ Angels and a grateful American, may you both rest in peace Chris and Chad and may our ever-loving God wrap his arms around your family and friends and bring them peace.
To the Kyle Family, I would like to extend my Prayers and Thoughts for your family as you mourned the death of your Son, Brother, Grandson, Uncle and Friend.
Chris has become a Hero to many. He is now Standing in the Present of His Commander-in-Chief, to take charge of a Battalion of Angels to help lead the charge on the enemy of the Church. He has served a Man, that God intrusted in His work here in the midst.
Chris has taken with him the secrets that only he knew. Not only was he a True American Hero, He will be remembered in the History Book for Defending His Country Stand proud, and never allow anyone to say different.
Along with My Fellow Americans, I stand to an Attention to Salute Name of the Highest Profession Chris Kyle and His Family!!
May the Good Lord keep watch over the Kyle Family, in Jesus’ name, amen
