Funny…We didn’t hear THAT from Obama 4 years ago…did we?
Imagine a guy campaigning on THAT sentiment and actually winning a 1st term. Now…Imagine a guy campaigning on that sentiment for a 2nd term. Well, you don’t have to imagine it because that is exactly what Emperor Obama is doing.
Now…imagine this Emperor trying to woo the votes of small business owners with a line like that.
“Greetings small business owners. Ya know…it occurs to me that, if you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that.”
By the sweat of their brow, through trial and error, great ideas, through ground level grassroots marketing, after putting all they had into their business to get it off the ground, late nights, early mornings, no vacations and doing without, you are told by the Emperor that…
“If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that.”
Of course, that wasn’t the entire message.
“If you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something…there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there.”
“If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”
What exactly DOES the Emperor MEAN by that?
“Somebody else made that happen?”

Who? Who else made that happen?
Your customers? Did THEY make that happen?
No.
Was it the teacher who made it happen? Nope.
The bridge builder or the road builder?
No.
The founding fathers who created this great American system of capitalism and a small government Of the People, By the People and For the People?

Once upon a time, there were a WHOLE bunch of businesses and business owners. They were all just…floundering about.
Oh sure, those business owners were smart but then, there are a lot of smart people out there.
Oh sure, they were hard working but, we all know there are a whole LOT of hard working people out there.
But for all their smartness and for all their hard work…NONE of those business owners were becoming a success.
Success eluded them.
Then…ONE day…
ALONG CAME THE…GOVERNMENT!!!!
Can you say…GOVERNMENT???
I knew that you could.
Only with the help of the GOVERNMENT…taking money away from those who became successful BECAUSE of the GOVERNMENT and GIVING to those who were NOT successful could those UNSUCCESSFUL businesses become…successful.
THANK YOU GOVERNMENT…THANK YOU the business owners cried. THANK YOU GOVERNMENT.
But the business owners knew, that…IF ONLY government could become…BIGGER…their success would GROW.
Why…If government would only grow…so could they.
Then, and only then, would those business owners reach the very PINNACLE of success.
And what IS the absolute pinnacle of success boys and girls???
The absolute PINNACLE of success is when you, as a business owner, become SO successful that the GOVERNMENT, to whom you OWE your success…PUNISHES YOU by assessing HIGHER AND HIGHER TAXES upon you BECAUSE you are successful.
Success is bad.
BAD SUCCESS…BAD!!!
The more successful you become…obviously, the more evil you are. And we all know what happens when you achieve EVIL success…don’t we?
That’s right boys and girls…YOU GET PUNISHED because, even though you’re already paying 70% of ALL the taxes…
YOU ARE NOT PAYING YOUR FAIR SHARE!!!!!
Now…Boys and girls…this is VERY important…
There ARE those out there who think that as you become successful…You should be able to keep more of what you earn. They think you should be able to become successful enough to hire more people into your business or…(GASP)…maybe even expand your business to make it bigger and more successful.
These are the most vile of evil people imaginable.
They’re called…CONSERVATIVES.
Conservatives are SO evil and SO vile that THEY believe in SMALLER government but, that’s not all.
Conservatives believe that PEOPLE should be in charge of the GOVERNMENT rather than having the GOVERNMENT rule over the people.
Conservatives, boys and girls, believe in something called…self reliance.
YUK!!!
They think they can do things better WITHOUT the government getting involved.
These conservatives are completely misguided and, they must be defeated.
Can you imagine a world where CONSERVATIVES run things?
There would be flags flying and boys and girls in schools would be saying the Pledge of Allegiance to those
flags…EVERY DAY!!! There would be things called CHRISTMAS displays and songs instead of Winter Solstice displays and songs.
Conservatives would stand WITH their friends and AGAINST their enemies.
Conservatives would NOT apologize for American exceptionalism and they would NEVER bow down to foreign leaders.
It’s scary, isn’t it?
Even scarier…Conservatives would pass budgets and maybe, just maybe…BALANCE THE BUDGET.
Do you know what a balanced budget is boys and girls?
That’s when government can’t spend more than it takes in.
Conservatives would never allow dead people or illegal aliens to VOTE.
Good grief…Conservatives think you should have a photo ID to vote and they might even secure our BORDERS.
Do you know, boys and girls…That CONSERVATIVES think bills should be read before they’re passed into laws…Think that existing laws should be enforced, BELIEVE IN THE CONSTITUTION and think people should be allowed to keep and bear arms???
Why…they don’t believe in a one world government. Can you imagine that?
As bad as all that is, there are things WORSE than THAT…
Conservatives don’t believe global warming is caused by PEOPLE. THEY think it has something to do with the SUN and they would rather drill for OIL than throw what they think is THEIR money away on GREEN energy that doesn’t work.
It’s NOT their money…IT’S THE GOVERNMENT’S money and we all KNOW that don’t we boys and girls?

Although I agreed that these comments were not the smartest remarks the President has ever made, they are quite dumb actually, but there is a shred of truth to the fact that many people become successful not only because they work harder or are smarter than anyone else but are afforded opportunities which are not available to everyone. If brains and hard work were the only determinants of becoming rich and successful then there would be a much larger number of people who attain the same heights which some already have. There are just too many factors involved to claim that if you just work hard and are smart that there will always be opportunity for success and that is not partially determined by the education, personal connections, and other things which undermine pure hard work and determination.
